Messenger App - What to Freeze? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I have an app in my drawer called "Messenger" - it has a red icon with a white text bubble and plus sign in it.
I don't use this (I use google voice and the messaging app only.
I can't find this app in TB to freeze it. Anyone know what app it's called in there for me to freeze?

Pretty sure that's Google plus. Try that

oh... maybe. i want google plus though. this may be part of google plus though and so i may be stuck with it.

Ya that's part of Google +

Most launchers will let you hide apps from your app drawer. That's what I did to it.

I am too. google voice does the same thing. I sent an email to Jrummy, have heard back.
Had the same issue with Facebook. I went into liberty toolbox under app management, remove apps then hit menu to list all apps deleted Facebook then went to the market and downloaded might work the same for twitter.

Great calendar app?

Is anyone using a good calendar app to replace the standard Samsung one? I use multiple google calendars and an exchange calendar and the stock Samsung app can only display one color for all four of my google calendars - very annoying.
I'd really like something that can do double pane to take advantage of the larger tablet screen like the Samsung one.
Thanks for the advice.

If you go to the 'amazon app store' they are giving away calendar app worth 5$ for free

Thanks. I had actually just installed it. It does not have a dual pane function, but I'm diggin' the custom calendar color feature.

Black Google voice? Black Facebook app?

Has anyone themed Facebook or Google voice to be all black with white text? I'm on cm7.

+10 Gmail too.

Etoy has a theme for cm7 that has the blacked out Gmail. I'm sure you could just pull the gmail.apk and push it to /system/app. The epic has some themes with black Facebook. I'm gonna try pushing one of those apks to my phone.

If you look a few pages back in the epic 4g themes forum, you will find a post with the black Facebook APk. Just uninstall Facebook then install the black Facebook app, I'm using it now and it works. I'm also about to try pushing the black mms Apk from mysteryemotions emotionless beast theme. Ill post links when I'm home and see if the black mms apk will work
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
Okay, pushing the mms.apk from the emotionless beast theme doesn't work. I'm guessing it has to do with cm7 using aosp or something. But in theory it wouldn't be too hard to change a few XML values within the mms.apk to make it white text on black, I'm just not sure how to do it.

I stopped using Google voice after I realized I can't send pictures. Would I be able to pull the one of the XML files, edit the values for black background and white text, then push it back into the apk?

This is a nice black themed facebook 1.6 apk. Once it updates to the new format it loses some of its theme but its still pretty good. You must uninstall other Facebook app before installing. I don't take credit for the app, just stumbled upon it. Hopefully URL works, first time trying to post one, and hopefully I'm not violating any rules.

Remove Voicemail app from phone

Hey all, does anybody know the location of the apk for the Verizon Voicemail app? I was able to remove all the bloatware that I wanted, but I couldn't find where the voicemail app is. I tried searching for "voicemail" and "vvm" using root explorer, but it didn't find it.
/system/priv-app/VVM.apk

Thanks, but it isn't there. The icon still shows up in my app drawer.
Don't know what to say then. I've got it froze in titanium backup and that's the path it shows for it.
So I decided to load Viper and found the VVM.apk where you said it was and was able to remove it. Thanks, still not sure why the stock ROM wouldn't remove the icon though.
Check out my thread on getting Verizon visual voicemail to work!

I think it stays because its tied into the messages app... If you scroll right in the messages app there is a voicemail tab... Possibly whatever base viper is on doesn't have vvm tied into messages?

Right and you risk breaking bubble count notifications if you remove it too.
