[Q] Generic boot animation after updated TrickDroid? - HTC One S

So, I have updated my TWRP to 2.2.1 and decided to update TrickDroid to the latest 6.2.0 version (T-Mobile). After doing a full wipe, I installed and I noticed that when booting up, my phone has a normal, generic android boot animation. I tried using the tweaks package to change it, but only the shutdown animation changed, and the boot animation is still the "android" logo animation. I tried ref lashing, reinstalling TWRP, flashing the kernel separately and still nothing. Any ideas/help?

It would be better to ask this in Trickdroid's support thread. You could always manually replace the .zip file.

I had very little luck using the Tweaks package. Very few of the changes I made stuck. I couldn't get *any* of the inverted apps to work. I just ended up using the ROM without any tweaks because it has such great battery life.

On only had this problem using twrp. No problems with latest cwm. Checked it 2 times!

Which version of TWRP were you using?
EDIT:
I tried with the latest cwm recovery, still the same. I find it really weird that when I tried flashing MIUI, the boot animation was there...It's only trickdroid :\

find the boot animation you want and move to \system\media and reboot and it will work

[Q] Galaxy recovery boot loop

Ok I have looked around the form found links mostly with dead links. So I had installed terasilent kernel and Icy Fushion rom. Well I lost all of my Google apps tried to get them back but couldn't. So I seen a thread in the developement area on restoring to stock rom. Well I tried the Odin way loading a PIT file repartitioning and loading the rom. Well that got me to the recovery boot loop. I can install custom kernel but it boot no further and right into recovery. I can flash with odin and everything passes and reboots and it goes right into recovery. I have tried diffrent kernels still in the recovery loop. Any suggestion would be great. Currently using the terrasilent kernel and recovery. ROMS flash and pass but do not boot into the ROM

Find a thread with a CWM flashable stock ROM. What device do you have?

[Q] Odd ROM problem

I finally fixed my old issue... (softbrick stuck at boot logo without access to fastboot)
now i have a new one.
Im using TWRP recovery right now, and it seems the only ROM i can install right now is Clean ROM.
I have tried Blackbean, CM10 nightly, and HYDRO.
None boot up.
Is there something that is unique to CleanROM that would let me install it and not others?

You are on JB, so the only Roms you can flash are [email protected], Clean and Hydro JB. Thats it. All other Roms are only flashable with ICS bootloader and you are not able to get back from JB:

HELP! Stuck in bootloop after using Pimp My ROM.

Using stock Gingerbread kernel (DDLF2 rooted with Clockwork Recovery Mod installed - Amit Bagaria's CF-ROOT).
I had changed the default boot animation to the green transparent droid using Pimp My ROM (version 3.4). After this, the phone went into a boot loop. My mistake - didn't take a backup using Nandroid before trying the tweaks. Tried the restore default boot animation from within Pimp My ROM itself. However it says no primary boot animation to restore!! Also tried to unpimp all changes from within the tweaker itself, still doesn't work and shows the boot animation that was set which made it go into the bootloop. One thing I do notice is that the reboot happens after all media scanning is over.
I still have CWM though.
I don't want to lose any data. Can anyone please help recover?
Thanks in advance. Any help would be much appreciated.

I used pimp my rom once and I almost bricked my phone... I assume you are on custom rom now... just reflash that custrom zip through CWM.. clear cache and dalvik and reboot in this you wont loose any data.... BUT BUT BUT just be sure you FLASH THAT PARTICULAR CUSTOM ROM ZIP FILE ONLY WHICH YOU CURRENTLY HAD ON YOUR DEVICE... FLASHING OTHER ROM WITHOUT WIPING THE DATA WILL CAUSE PERMANENT HARD BRICK AND YOU HAVE TO SAY R.I.P TO YOUR PHONE THEN SO BE CAREFULL
If u did a backup of build.prop u can replace with aroma file manager, or u can download one of the build.prop with tweaks by topdroid and replace with aroma fm

Flashed Dhiru's CM10 ROM
Thank you members for the replies.
I flashed a custom ROM (Dhiru's CM 10 (alpha 5) based off 4.1.2).
My installation of CWM saved my hind and made the transition not too difficult.
mustafahussain, bro, yes, many features in Pimp My ROM don't even work in the stock Gingerbread DDLF2 ROM. I guess that why's the developer still has it at alpha. I'm not going to risk using the damn thing again. I'll opt for a safer alternative.

[Q] xt926 CM10.2 Stuck on Boot Logo After 1st Reboot

xt926 with unlocked bootloader and can run 10.1 nightly from get.cm with no problem. However, when I install a 10.2 nightly - whether from get.cm, epinter, dhacker or skrilaz - even though the initial boot comes up clean, rebooting after the initial boot gets stuck on the boot logo.
I have tried different recovery images - cwm, twrp, oudhs - and different versions of each.
I have tried clean installs, full formats and dirty upgrades from 10.1.
I have tried multiple force boots from this state (power+vol up).
I have tried with and without the updated gapps and UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.51.zip.
Restoring from backup does not get past this hang. The only way out is to revert to stock (I use mattlegroff's DROID_RAZR_HD_Utility_1.21).
Does anyone have any idea how I might get past this or even get a log?
Only thing that fixed this for me was to flash back to stock 4.1.2, flash newest CWM touch recovery, then flash newest nightly, Gapps, and SU. Then, a popup comes up saying something about the ROM wants to flash your boot image, and asks if you'd like to fix this. I answered YES (fix) and been working since.
Any chance you could link where you got your recovery and SU?
Much appreciated.
Same issue here...
I've also tried everything listed above. I've done everything i can possibly think of to get cm 10.2 on my xt926. For some reason my phone just isn't making it after the first reboot. I've searched and found similar issues but none of the troubleshooting has been working for me. I hope to find a way around this. I need that 10.2!
Same issue here. Not just CM, every 4.3 based ROM I've tried has either failed to boot or failed to boot more than once (more often than not, they won't boot at all).
I've been at this for hours, but I've had no success so far. I'll let you know if I come up with anything.
EDIT:
Here's my setup:
After every try, I flash back to stock 4.1.2 with VZW_XT926_4.1.2_9.8.1Q_62_VQW_MR-2_VQW_CFC.xml. I've edited it so it doesn't flash the stock recovery and so it flashes a modified logo that doesn't show the bootloader warning. Partway through, I booted up and updated to the latest OTA, so I had to comment out the tz.mdm files as well. I was using TWRP 2.2.2.1, but I updated to 2.6.0.0 earlier.

one of 2 things should fix this problem,
use cwm 6.0.3.5 from here or
go to recovery/mounts and storage and format the data-media line (i know it says sd card but its internal, do not format the external ed card line or you will loose data on it)
also i updated matts utiliity to the latest ota, so you dont have to take the ota just to get the baseband. its in the dev forum. i will be updating it to a newer version if you wait until later, with the newest recoveries.
edit, btw 2.6.0.0 is not the latest twrp although i recommend using cwm as some have had issues with twrp including me.
First off, the latest TWRP seems to have fixed the problems (for me, anyway). Second, you'll need to use the most up-to-date GAPPs when you flash. Also, a lot of people have noted that mounting sytem prior to doing their wipes has solved the reboot issues.
Thanks a ton for the help. Flashed latest CWM and bumped up to 4.4 and everything's working fine. I appreciate the help!

[Q] MultiROM secondary ROM boot loop

I had stock 5.0 and installed MultiROM via fastboot. And after that I tested out xTraSmooth 3.1 on the secondary ROM so I pretty much liked it so I said **** it, why not make it the primary. So I formatted the device completely secondary and primary and all. And I copied the zip files and flashed them as primary. I also flashed MultiROM v30 as when I went to advanced it said MultiROM wasn't installed or something like that. Anyway, I wanted to test some more ROMs now, I ended up with a bootloop or updater binary error.
So, I said I'll test it on the same ROM I had tested before, which is now my primary one. So I flashed another xTraSmooth as secondary, it flashed without a problem but still I got a boot loop. So, I tried installing the modified TWRP again using fastboot, flashing MultiROM again and flashing the ROM again but still. I got a bootloop. I even flashed a nightly kernel from frnaco after that and still a bootloop. What should be done? Or is this some new problem with MultiROM?
Bump

That sounds very strange to me! I'd try a fresh install using the MultiROM Manager Android App. Make sure that the status displayed in the app does NOT say Kernel: doesn't have kexec-hardboot patch! (see Installation section in the first post of the MultiROM thread).

Did you try the newest version of xTraSmooth (3.3)? I had a quite similar situation with AICP for Nexus 7. In fact, at first it never got past the boot animation and then "suddenly", with a newer version, things were fine.
You may also want to try installing another ROM as secondary, just to make sure your current MultiROM installation works as it should.
