If you need to backup your data first, you can try to flash ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM).
You will need your old firmware which is provided with the RK-Flashtool. Copy "CWM recovery .img", "misc noflag.img" and RK29xxLoader(L)_V2.14 in the folder rockdev/Image.
If you start with Gingerbread you must use the CWM GB. Images can be backuped as ext4 or ext3. If your filesystem is an other (yaffs2,
cramfs, ...) it should be backuped with ext3, but restore only (!) data.
Firmware which is provided as update.img with the older RK-Batchtool won't work. You can post a link to the firmware and I shall try to open the image.
1. start the RK-Flashtool
2. flash "CWM recovery GB (or ICS) ext3 (or ext4).img" together with RK29xxLoader(L)_V2.14 and "misc.img"
3. the tab will boot into CWM - if not, flash "recovery.img" and "misc noflag.img" and stop activity
4. backup to external sdcard
5. use the pack from #1 to flash ICS image (with your specific kernel of course)
6. the tab will boot ICS - have fun!
if not, flash the old firmware back
7. repeat 2.
8. restore from external sdcard (or advanced restore, if your filesystem is not ext3/4)
CWM booten: unplug power-supply, hold M (or Vol -) and Power ON until you see the bootlogo
CWM functions: Vol +/- = up/down, Power On = chose, Esc = back (touch maybe supported by your kernel)
Only tested on Odys-Loox. Hope that works on other tabs

What do I need to submit for a developer to build a custom rom for this device? Some kind of dump? ALso need a recovery manager with the right display driver. Either TWRP or CWM.

i flashed it to install new rom but now it does not boot at all.
no OS is installed any more in the tablet.
any OS that is compatible with this tablet so i can install it on it to use it again?

my smartphone Switel S4010 flash (manufacturer: V3) still has the operating system 4.2.
Now I want to play another version of Android. I've already rebooted the device and installed the App Rom Manager. But I can not find a working ROM for this device.
The smartphone Switel S4010 flash seems the same as
