question about kernel governor - HTC One S

okay, so i flashed a kernel recently and it came with the smartassV2 governor. when i set it to this i notice that it jumps frequencies, and stays doing this. is this normal with this governor? and if it isn't how can i fix it?
PS: I'm running trickdroid v6.20 [TMOBILE]
with fusion ultimate kernel v1.0

how to get smartass governor for cm7?

I assume I need a new kernel. Can someone recommend one?
I've been using cattleprod's kernel for MIUI on CM7 for a while. I can't tell you that it unlocks the smartass governer, but it's a nice overclock kernel.

[Q] Help!Need Faux123 Kernel With Stock Voltages

I have an Htc sensation with ARHD 3.6.2. The rom has a faux123-v0.2.1 kernel. The thing is my phone randomly reboots. So i'm thinking it does not like undervolting because i dropped the cpu frequency & it still does it. So i went to the faux123 kernel thread & it saids to use the stock voltage version but i cant find it on there. Can somebody please help me on how to get the faux123 kernel with stock voltages and no undervolting or an app that i can use to change the voltages back to stock. I would appreciate it alot!!! Thanks
Use fauxclock app to adjust voltage

[Q] Best Kernel for ICS

Anyone interested to share your experience?
Currently I'm using Matr1x v14
Features
Max CPU is 1400
BLN
Scheduler bfq, cfq, deadline, noop
Governor minmax, intereactive, conservative, ondemand, userspace, powersave, smartass, smartassV2, performance
If you haven't tried Eugene's, give it a whirl
Sent from my SNES
Eugene's kernel for me. It seems to be the best kernel if you just want to install it and forget about it. It's fast without OC, gets good battery, and doesn't require a reboot every 12-18 hours to stay snappy like most the ICS kernels I've tried.
Can't seem to find a download link for eugene's kernel.

There's a thread in the Development Section called:
[Kernel 3.1.6-ICUP] { NS & NS4G } For ICS OTA 1/03/2012 ( Speedy-3 ). At the Moment the download links don't work but someone posted a mirror (just go to the end of the thread).
Matr1x 14.0! Offers performance, battery, stability, etc!

I second that. Matrix Kernel is really great. Good combination of performance and battery life.

Have been reading the thread for some time and notice that eugene insist that there should not be any mirror and only could be download straight from his link.

Matr1x v14.0 is the best kernel out there right now, I've tried them all and matr1x is the best one, stability, performance, battery life and extras.
Deep idle works, extra governors such as interactivex, lulzactive and lagfree.
If anyone hasn't tried it I suggest they do!

I have most of the options grey out and some of it are as stated on my first post.
I probably flash my kernel wrongly and lost those options.
Just did and re-flash and it works now.
Some members have compared battery life between matrix and icup kernels? It is very important to me because I travel a lot...
Among the ICS kernels, I find netarchy's to be the most stable and reliable. It's the only ICS kernel I can undervolt by 50mV and not encounter sleeps of death or glitchy behavior.
Tried eugene's for about 5mins and went back to using matrix v14.
Currently with BM MIUI and Matrix v14
IO Scheduler: cfq
Governor: lagfree
Max Freq: 1300
Ram: 501
CPU Integer: 788
CPU Float-Point: 182
2D Graphics: 277
3D Graphics: 1159
Database IO: 405
SD card write: 76
SD card read: 191
Total Score: 3579
Score on Quandrant.

Best kernel?

I need a new kernel because I believe Matr1x causes occasional reboots to my phone so what are you guys opinion on the best rom?

bedalus created a great thread/spreadsheet for us exploring that question https://market.android.com/details?id=ccc71.bmw
i personally use the trinity kernel.
I don't get random reboots unless I'm overclocking with 1460, then it resets the over clock to normal. However when I boot my phone it doesn't always work so I usually have to take out my battery and boot again. But I've had that problem since the last ROM I used (codename 1.20 a.k.a Neapolitan flavors ICS)
Nexus S - CyberGR Hybrid ICS (5), Matrix Kernel (15)
Up voltages by 25mv and that will fix your reboot problem.
Hey guys I'm using on my Nexus S(i9023) - CyberGR Hybrid ICS (5), Matrix Kernel (15),
min freq 200mhz, max freq 800mhz, I/o scheduler deadline, governor lulzactive , deep idle on, and I've the same issues of 309041291a, I flash this rom whit clean install , and I've random reboots 1or 2 a days, and however when I boot my phone it doesn't always work so I usually have to take out my battery and boot again. And when work hard with nexus I've a battery drain? Somethings wrong in my settings?
Air Kernel

sounds like you need to try a different rom or kernel

Phone Reboot

why when I bring the frequency over 1000mhz the phone restarts?
i'm using CyberGR v14 and Air Kernel

You need to read about overclocking and all it entails, before raising the frequency mindlessly over the limit...
