I can make one that you just flash over? What color/colors?

Just the basic android blue to match the rest of the notification bar with the percentage in the center. And will this be compatible cm10 with a Sgt7 build.

I`m using this Widget currently ... it has a status bar icon readily available ... does the job well for me:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.hubalek.android.reborn.beta
Maybe give it a try ...

+1 for Battery Widget? Reborn! It's fantastic. I highly recommend it

Thx ur the best

I'll make a guide later, I don't have my PC. But I just changed the stat_sys_battery.XML I'll give you a film to flash and you can just change the images yourself but I've got mine to a disappearing Circle battery.

I was trying to edit it but I can't. What did you use to edit it. I used 7zip to decompile it. I tried apktool, but I always get an error when I:
apktool if framework-res.apk and
apktool d systemUI.apk

I had it working, but now it doesn't show up, I'll look more into it. When I find out what happened I'll get back to you.

No, I just USD root explorer and extracted it, then edited what I wanted and zipped it, then used ipthemer o make the systemui. And for the framework I just extracted it, then write what I wanted then ziped it, renamed to .apk instead or .zip, and in terminal emulator I used
such
CD sdcard
Sh reframe.sh
I used propc's reframe scripts to change it, I spent 5 hours last night. And still nothing, I'll continue work on this, and I won't give up.

Ive tried to make one for jb, but every time i do the battery icon disappears.
Here is what i did. You need a SystemUI from ics and jb .I do this meathod so I don't get decompile/recompile errors in apktool.
1. Open both the JB and ICS apks in separate archive mannager windows.
2. Drag the resources.arsc, AndroidManifest.Xml, and Res folder from the JB apk, into the ICS apk
3. decompile your modified ICS APK
4. make your changes
5. Recompile modified ICS apk
6 move whatever you changed back into the JB apk using an archive manager.
7.test and watch it fail
Maybe my way is right but my battery icons are too big. What do y'all think(Texan accent)

Im testing something i will report back if i get anything

Tests I've done:
Does zipalighning cause any issues >RESULT=no
Does decompiling then recompiling cause issues >RESULT=yes
More to come

But before you put the xml into the apk it needs to be compiled. If you look into a systemui that u havnt modded and look at the battery xml, you wont be able to read it because it is compiled for android to read it

Themeing note 10.1

So I started working on a theme for my note 10.1, is going good so far but ran in to a little snag. The problem is when iedit the notifications background it seems to shrink for no reason. The resolution of the image hasn't changed just modified the colour. As you can see in the image below 1 being where 2 should be. And number 3 has developed a gap for some reason even though it hasn't been modified,. Any help would be much appreciated.

Looks like you edited a .9.png file. You need to maintain the 9 patch when editing the file. You have to decompile the apk then edit images. If you look on the border of 9 patch images you'll see black dots or lines you need to make sure they remain solid black and do not edit or move them.

[MOD] [AT&T] LGMessage w/o screen-on notification

** Disclaimer: Use at your own risk. I am not responsible or liable for whatever happens. I made this small customization for myself and am just sharing it in the event others might benefit. I could very well have done this wrong, but at least it is working for me... **
If you're anything like me, you really like the stock LGMessage.apk with the pop-over notification. You know you can get similar functionality in a variety of third-party SMS programs, but you like that oh-so-stock feeling...
But, oh no! The stock messaging app has this annoying habit of turning the screen on every single time you get a message.
When you're like me, sending over 200-300 texts a day, this will just not do.
Enter, the attached deodexed, ever-so-slightly customized LGMessage.apk -- with screen-on notification removed, and everything else the same.
Installation Instructions:
* Back-up LGMessage.apk and LGMessage.odex from /system/app
* Move existing LGMessage.apk and LGMessage.odex to some other location outside of /system/app (I put mine in my dropbox)
* Copy over this newly modified LGMessage.apk
* Reboot
* Profit
Link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/68362468/LGMessage.apk
This file was relatively manually deodexed, edited, recompiled and signed with assistance from the following:
Smali / Baksmali (for decompile/compile)
Android SDK / Eclipse (for pulling/pushing/code-diving)
Notepad++ (for search in files)
Beer (for motivation)
Aleksandar Despotovski's Android Ultimate Toolbox Pro (for signing)
Im on vzw and havent noticed my screen turning on for every text. What are you on?
Oops, AT&T, I keep forgetting this is a combined forum section. :/

I would need the following files:
/system/app/LGMessage.apk
/system/app/LGMessage.odex
/system/framework/lge-res.apk
Note: None of these files contain any personal user information, as they are the stand-alone application/related resources.
If your phone is already rooted/deodexed, then *just* the LGMessage.apk should be enough.
It is entirely possible that the APK and/or resource file is not named the same on that phone, in which case other variations I have seen in the past are: SecMms.apk, Mms.apk, and Message.apk
Just give me approximately 15-30 minutes to upload them. BTW, in the OG Pro it is UniMessagebin.
Thanks again for trying and hope you succeed!

Shakes- so here's the deal, the UniMessagebin is quite a bit different than the LG G2 implementation.
I was able to track down what I think are the two tweaks necessary to disable screen-on notification, but I have no good way of testing this so it is a real shot in the dark.
Please, please realize this and do due diligence and back-up your files just in case.
Installation Instructions:
* Backup UniMessagebin.apk and UniMessagebin.odex from /system/app
* Move existing UniMessagebin.apk and UniMessagebin.odex to some other location outside of /system/app (I put mine in my dropbox)
* Copy over the newly modified UniMessagebin.apk
* Reboot
* Hopefully it works...

In nearly every case, emoji's are just pictures sent as an MMS when used on Android phones instead of a special softbank short code for said image.
I had to download a modified UniMessagebin from I think a LGOG because that one does not turn it to MMS. However it does not support XXHDPI resolution so the fonts are not as small as they are supposed to be. Is there a way to disable auto MMS conversion when including emojis?

Not that I'm aware of, but I don't know much about MMS/emoji technology.
I was under the impression that emoji's were specialized character encodings and that the reason most Android systems turn them into MMS is for more universal usage without the worries of character encoding compatibility.
Sorry I can't help more :/

I mean opposite, it probably isn't that hard and you can have it now if you do it yourself. Or ask for clues on how to do it instead of expecting someone else to do it for you.
I googled that problem for a week and no answer resolve it.

Friday night I found out how to manually do it but java was being a pain in the butt and I wanted to test it before telling you how also so I could have the file to upload to you. Just so you know the file you needed to edit was the framework-res.apk not the .jar. the xml that needed to be edited was located at framework-res.apk\res\values\arrays.xml
Decompiled it just fine but on the compile after I was done editing java was being stupid and the compile failed. Hope this information can help you in the future.

The alternative alternative would be to use the HotSpot Toggle Widget by Fattin.
I haven't tried it on 4.3 (have been putting off upgrading because of too many cons for the pros...) - but it bypasses all that verification stuff - still using the built-in tether.

Or edit the framework-res.apk yourself. I am glad I know how now because I will never need to wait for someone else to do it. well the only reason Iwould is if foxfi breaks in a update.

Where did you learn how to edit the framework-res.apk? I would rather know how to do it myself but my java skills are rudimentary at best (though I am a quick learner!!). What did you use to do the editing?
Thanks!
I downloaded a note 2 recovery zip of the modified apk. I then spent about ten minutes googling where the tether subscription checker was located then compared my apk to the note 2 apk. A lot of trial and error if you would like to see it old and slow has a edited recovery zip for the 4.3 tether (came out a day after I was looking for it so that's why I didn't choose that one). Just decompile both apk and look in framework-res.apk\res\values\arrays.xml. what I did when comparing it to the note 2 was open both of the XML in notepad++ and compare lines. I am confident I can now mod it without examples if it ever happens again. Finding a decompiler is the easy part there are a lot of free ones out there just Google it and as long as you can recognize every character in the XML (no odd symbols) it decompiled correctly. I could not find a guid on how to do this but I probably learned more from my errors than I would have learned from a step by step. Hope that helps and sorry if that made no sense typed it in a rush.

Oh and if you dig around in the apk long enough you might notice how easy (but time consuming) it would be to make your own custom modifications and themes for your own rom. I like doing it this way over xposed because no matter what I do xposed is super buggy for me.
