steps:
1.root explorer
2.put the boot animation file you just downloaded on your phone.
3. use root explorer go to system/media and scroll down you will see bootanimation.zip change it to bootanimationold.zip
4.go to sd card and find the bootanimation.zip you just downloaded long press on it and hit move.
5. move to data/local (file must be name bootanimation.zip if not rename or it will not work)
6.Reboot and enjoy!
*in the data/local you can only have one file named bootanimation.zip so if you want to replace one name the old file bootanimationold.zip*

Do you kno if these boot animations will work on a driod 2 global? is it the same steps to install them?
I think the Sci-Fi one is by far the coolest. Minimal, and just fun to look at.
Wish it'd have more info to show, but it's still a great job.

This is pretty sick! lol. I'm using the droid one. my friend has a SK4G as well, stock (everything) and when he watches it start up its gonna blow his mind. not to mention the rest of the stuff haha, thanks! and 5 more?! my head is gonna explode! lol thanks bro.

hey man ive been watching videos on shut down animations but i can not get them to work on my sidekick. ive found the file where the boot animation is system/media/video ive changed it out with differnt png images that i downloaded but no luck any idea?
Here is a bootanimation I converted over to work with the S4G and E3D .
It is the Android Bot eating an Apple . There was a few requests for it
so here it is . Please make sure to hit the Thanks button if you enjoyed
***As usual I am NOT responsible for you damaging your devices , Thermonuclear
war , your grandma getting angry , you throwing your phone against the wall ,
unhappiness , etc. Flash at your own risk !!! ***
Directions :
1: download .zip from below and put it on your SD Root
2: Using Root Explorer navigate to SD Root and move bootanimation.zip
to system/customize/resources and paste in there .
3: Rename original bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.bak or move it
to your SD Root to use for later if wanted .
4: make sure it is named bootanimation.zip and nothing else or it
will NOT work .
5: Long press bootanimation.zip and click permissions . Make sure this is
selected below inorder to work properly . If this is not selected properly
you will get a black blank screen !!!
Owner: read & write checked, execute unchecked
Group: read checked, rest unchecked
Others: read checked, rest unchecked
6: Restart and Enjoy !
for people having problem with install : Thanks for this Dougi !
you can try this :
with ES file explorer ( down from market ) :
_ go into settings of ES file explorer and enable root function
_ press and hold the bootanimation.zip that you placed on root of your sd card and copy .
_ then go into data/local and overwrite the existing one..
_ and you're done
_ reboot and enjoy this beautifull boot animation...

First off to the OP great boot animation, unfortunately like others before me i am having the same problem. Followed the instructions to the letter but still have my old boot animation. Im running LeeDroid 2.2 if it helps at all.
Well it works perfectly for me in ARHD 3.0.4
Same for me on Eagles Blood.
I found this boot animation around the Youtube and i thought you gonna like it too so i made it for Galaxy Tab! So here it is

Install Instructions:
1) Download bootanimation.zip
2) Copy it to your insternal sd
3) Use Root Explorer application and copy the .zip file from the directory you put it to system/media and overwrite the on the last directory. (To copy the .zip you must turn the button on top of the screen to Mount R/O by taping it, and then you can paste the file!)
4) Reboot and enjoy the boot animation!

You cant use this boot animation for your sgs2 coz the screen resolution! But i can make this boot animation for sgs2 too! But how you will find it? I will send you with pm! But i will make it tomorrow, ok?

Hello guys,
You know this too? You want a new bootanimation for your Samsung Device, but then you realize you cant use Bootanimation.zip files?
Well thats really sad and i had this Problem a long time. BUT now i know how to make .qmg files and i dont want to use it only for myself so i open
this Service for all now. You can now transform bootanimation.zip files to .qmg files. Easy, Free and Fast.
How to start?
Well i will transform it for you, please never forget this that i make this with my own hands and a Programm ^^ so it cant be instant ready.
So you need: A way to upload the File , a bootanimation.zip file with all the 3 Parts in it (part0, part1, part2) and some patience ^^.
First of all send me the File for the Bootanimation.zip file. I will open them and transform them into .qmg files. But please remember:
part0 will be bootsamsung.qmg
part1 will be bootsamsungloop.qmg
part2 will be shutdown.qmg
So please keep this in mind.
AND DONT FORGET: Samsung will AutoFit the .qmg file to the screen. So if the Animation dont have the right Resolution for your Device it could look wreid.:fingers-crossed:
What will happen now?
Your brandnew Bootanimation will be reworked by me and then send to you.
I will answer your Post with the Link to download the qmg files they will be put together in a .rar file btw.
It only takes 1 or 2 Days most of the time. If i need more time i will message you (For example if i have to learn for a Test)
How to use this Files now?
Well there are 2 Ways the
Easy Noob way: Download this App https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tkstudio.sboot give the app Root permission (YES YOU NEED ROOT) and then go to where the files are. and select them in the right order ^^ easy right?.
and the
Pro Funny way: get ES File Explorer copy all the 3 .qmg files and put them to /system/media. Then select every single .qmg animation and go to Properties. Change the permissions to rw- r- r- and ready.
Now restart your Phone and you are fine with your new bootanimation ^^
BUT I WANT SOUND, TOO. HOW CAN I GET THIS?
Well you dont even have to send me the File. You need Es File Explorer for it btw
Just cut a small part from your favourite song or Sound Effect and rename it PowerOn.ogg . Now move it to /system/media/audio/ui and keep pressing on it until the little bar on the bottom appear. Go to More>Properties and change Permissions to rw- r- r- ( At read check all Ticks. And at write check the first tick)
Thats all now restart Phone and enjoy sound!

The Problem isnt that it dont work...
The Problem is that i dont know which part should it be?
