Here i am!
Again!
I am glad to introduce you my last application called WALLPAPERIZE.
Wallpaperize is now stable but i want to add features in future, actually it does a very simple thing: it sets wallpaper for you.
Where is the news?
Let me explain...
I am not used to keep scrolling wallpaper, i hate it, so i have ever wanted to set an image as wallpaper but usual methods relay on cropping wallpaper for horizontal and vertical scrolling.
I do not need that, i need an app that brings an image and put it as wallpaper, nocrop no frill.
Wizardii is doing that but i can not understand the odd interface and also the bizzar behavior, so here it is WALLPAPERIZE.
Actually Wallpaperize has some limitations (that i will implement very soon):
- only landscape wllpaper
- can not tile in case of that image is smaller then screen dimensions
Wallpaperize comes in two flavors:
WALLPAPERIZEFREE - Free

WALLPAPERIZE- Paid version (IF YOU LIKE IT PLEASE THINK TO DONATE, IT WILL SUPPORT MY EFFORT E IT WILL ALLOW ME TO CONTINUE TO DEVELOP)
Both versions have and will have the same fucntionality.
This is my first paid application after UPD8R and SWAT, I hope that someone will help me with this latest project in order to continue to develop also FREE applications.

P.S.: it would be very polite that someone of you left some comment here or on play store, please...

Yes, TF101 with ARHD 3.4.2. I tried with several images, from 1280x800 to 1920x1200, and always got the same result.

Not in this Rom, but i used Gallery and Quickpick to set the wallpaper.
Seems I got same result as the other users. Wallpaper is displaced towards the top of the screen, leaving the bottom black (without image). I'm on 4.0.3/4 with stock launcher.
Any clue why is the app behaving like this?

That is more odd then previews posts... currently i have no clue and no idea why wallpaper is not displayed correctly.
In theory chosen image is rezized to screen size (1280x768, visible area) and then plotted inside a black (in your case) rectangle with virtual desktop dimension size (1500x1280, if i am not wrong).
Virtual desktop is what you see if you keep scrolling wallpaper mode.
Above dimensions are not hard-coded but requested to the system, so i can't explain that effect.
Could i send you a test version trying to log what happens?

EDIT- If you are having this problem, you are probably having this because you are using Mediascape to choose your wallpaper. Mediascape sucks ass; use 3D Gallery, Wallpaper Set & Save, etc. to choose your wallpaper.
I don't know if this has been asked already or if it is just me, but ever since I have updated to 2.1, for some reason, every time I put a picture as my wallpaper (doesn't matter what picture it is), the resolution of the picture is DRASTICALLY decreased! And it looks horrible!!! Does anybody know how to fix this?
Here is an example of what I mean:
ORIGINAL WALLPAPER--
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And this is how it looks on my phone--
I somewhat noticed the same!
Seems fine for me, not sure what to suggest.

Do you think it might have to do with me still being on the Nordic 2.1 Firmware?
so I tried to see if it had to do with LauncherPro, but it's the same with ADW Launcher... So I really have no clue!!
System Wallpapers and Live wallpapers seem to be fine though... It's only the wallpapers that I manually set from SD Card that do this...

SE failed at updating their Mediascape app haha
Wow, I never noticed this before. But thanks for pointing it out, I definitely see the difference between the two galleries now. Hopefully SE will sort this out in the next update!
This is a known problem with android and has nothing to do with SE
I think Wallpaper Set and Save works best.
As soon as I read this post it occured to me that maybe using the Gallery for chosing and assigning pictures rather than Mediascape , could also solve the pixelated contact pictures thingy!
Well ... I was wrong! Still same s*1t...

i was playing with my TF700, webbrowing etc and i decided to change wallpaper. i don't use any launcher cause i much prefer the stock launcher and more so now after JB. When i selected the wallpaper (offical asus wallpapers) i notice that it did not crop, it actually show the entire 1920x1200 wallpaper in full. It looked so much cleaner and sharper, made me appreciate the screen much more. I did not change to a different wallpaper cause i was afraid to lose it but after i rebooted my device a day after, the wallpaper became crop again.
Anyone know how is this possible. i want my wallpapers back WITHOUT using a different launcher OR livewallpaper (which slowdown the tablet)

id like to know this as i went to a musuem and took a lot of high quality pics to use as wallpaper. i wish i could use the full image instead of a cropped one.
I just changed my wallpaper as well, and it's uncropped. I believe this is a new part of JB that we're seeing.

Use picspeed, install picspeed, go to your gallery, click on picture you want to use, in the dropdown menu on the top right select set as, then you'll youu an option that looks like wood thats for picspeed, click that, choose the widescreen format and scrollable (wont scroll) then set wallpaper. Very close to uncropped, just ever so slightly, hopefully picspeed fixes this, much better than standard way of setting wallpaper.

Hi all, I'm new in this forum...but i follow it from a long time.
Now, I've a question about last "CM10.1 AOSP 4.2.1 Jellybean"; as you can se in the attached image I have some problem in the display size of my Sensation.
It leaves too much span on the top and on the bottom of icon's space, and I don't know how to solve this problem (for example you can see that the play music widget is cut in the lower part).
Thanks a lot.

Ok, I've tried this way...but unfortunately not works!
From the First post in the CM0.1 thread, near the bottom:
If your homescreen doesnt look right (icons not layed out right) go to System Settings>Launcher>homescreen click Stretch screens. Then choose grid size and set row
This fixed it for me.

I've already done this trick...but doesen't work. It's a pity because this rom works better than others on my phone.
Have you tried to put some widget on the bottom of the screen too? Can you see it correctly?
Hi,
Have you tried a different launcher?
I use Lightning Launcher,and I can stretch my icons to whatever size I want.

I've used Go Louncher but it makes the phone a bit slowlier.
The only reason of my question is that in the rom's screenshots the icons' position is correct.
Try Nova Launcher
Settings > Launcher > Homescreens
Try changing the size of the grid and check the option "Stretch screens"

Press and hold the widgets to resize them.
It is possible to allocate more area to the widget.
This is just how the launcher works; if you don't like it, you should switch to a different one.
It's not fair to ask the developer to recode the app just because it doesn't work well for you.

The image is too large. Change the size to 1200 x 800 pixels and you should be able to see most of it (I had to reduce the dpi settings on my current wallpaper to be able to use the entire image).
Make a picture that is 3 times as large as the image you want to use that is kind of plain or like a frame then paste your image into the center of that and put the results on your GNote10. Use gallary to crop the image to the size you want to use and your finished.
Set your wallpaper fullscreen is best to use a app call "Multipicture live wallpaper" Here is how it looks...

MEH, note display doesn.t work with multi wallpaper, only one shows on all.
I would be truly happy if it can be used without another launcher, or if somebody can show me to an app that allows multiple wallpapers for each desktop on stock note 10.1.
I searched my @ss off but no luck sofar.
Maybe DEV thingy to make this work?

I was struggling with similar issue - any custom image, even with really high resolution was looking way worse than the sock wallpapers.
When you are setting custom image to wallpaper from gallery, you need to crop it so it fits your screen vertically and horizontally.
Yesterday I've found this app: Image 2 Live Wallpaper and it solved my problem. Here are few sample screenshots:
Setting regular wallpaper - you lose a lot of the image by cropping it so it fits horizontal and vertical screen:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Vertical compare (no differences):
Horizontal compare (a lot of differences):
You will probably need to play with the app's options - I have all check boxes unchecked.
On my Motorola G52, I see pixelated screen on the top ~75%. The bottom ~25% looks alright:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I don't have this problem on any of my other phones. All have the same version of Nova Launcher.
This is not a display problem because a problem with the display will NOT show up in a screenshot. Also, I see this only on the Homescreen. This sort of pixelation isn't seen anywhere else on the same device.
Is this because the Moto G52 uses a P-Oled display?
