Is there anybody who's tried both the above mentioned ROMs for their HOS?
If so, could you please provide some apples to apples comparison and any obvious strengths that either might have.. Any pointers re: Energy ROM would help too.
Thanks!!:highfive:
Why don't u try them both out urself? Both are amazing I'm on leedroid right now and love it never changed eem hard Use I get 4hrs battery life and his new update releasing soon looks very promising then again trickdroid is really good too and is a bettery saver Rom with 50 suma tweaks I've heard
Best thing to do try em both yaself

LeeDroid's is VERY old. I guess he might be coming back to update it soon... If you want a T-Mo ROM, try Axiom S; extremely good battery and performance.
Leedroid is awesome .. hadn't been updated in awhile though. God comparison to trickdroid. Correct me If I'm wrong since its been awhile but leedroid has a bunch of tweaks as well..
Trickdroid is my go to Rom as of late. Very good Rom all around and plenty of tweaks to make your device well your device.
I'm currently on axiom s Rom. Getting about the same battery.life as the other two. Just don't have a teak package. You have to dl the individual tweak.
Hope it helps. Try them all out until you find the one you like .

I think I may have opened a can of worms. I did read about cm7 and see pros and cons. I have been looking at leedroid's Rom. Mudknot I would like to thank you for your guide very nice. Do you have any recommendation's?

As doo doo said and I have said in other threads, there is no "BEST" rom. They all are good in their own right, and all of them have their downfalls some more then others.
I have flashed all of them, and I like some more then others. Honestly its all personal preference.
Leedroid for stability and battery with all the features working. CM 7 for the stock feeling but has terrible drain TERRIBLE
I like the sense ones.
However I almost always return to a stock. The best to me are stock with all the bloat ripped out. There is no need to OC yet as the phone is plenty fast. Maybe in 4 or 5 months. /Shrug
I've been using RCmixHD for quite some time and I love it. They just realeased a new rom with SENSE 3.0 and it's beautiful. This latest rom is quite new and there are some improvements that I know will come with some time.
As everybody here will tell you, you will need to experiment and make your own decision on which is best for you.
Stock and Inpired Ace for me.
I am loving team phoenix's new rom. Takes the best of cm 7, + lord mods smartass kernel and makes a very smooth and battery efficient offering.

I really like RCMix Kingdom ROM. It is a work in progress, but sense 3.0 is pretty sweet in my opinion. But like others have said, it all comes down to your own personal preferences. Have fun with it and just go flash crazy lol
I'm loving konikubs elite 3 and kings cocoa 2.

I'm liking Android Revolution right now, but I'm just getting into this whole thing of flashing and what not. I had CoreDroid before, but just found it a bit too complex/too many options for now. Android Revolution to me seems somewhat like stock, but just better optimized. But I plan on trying some other ROMs out there, looking at some of the RCMixes and maybe LeeDroid's

awesome bro i remember seeing you in those forums I too switched
as for roms depends whether you want sense or not
MIUI is perfect AT this moment. based on the HTC ICS Base so you get both the camera and everything else working.
Official HTC Rom like ARHD, coredroid etc - Stable and fast rom with Sense 3.6(personally dislike Sense but you can install a mod to make it just like stock android, look under themes and apps)
CM9 - video camera doesnt work so well, bluetooth no go,
sense 4 - camera not so much with no autofocus, but almost good enough
I suggest - ICS stock rom with HTC base. like hypernonsense

I came from mt4g and found the sensation easier to root. I am running coredroid on the mt4g and on my sensation. The mt4g is for my son, he bought one off a kid at school for $20, because the kid didn't like the battery life. I am real happy with coredroid on both phones. Just make sure to go through a few battery cycles before judging any of the roms, most will break in and give great battery life in a few days, at least in my experience.
+1 for ARHD - its the most stable, the most fastest and the support is amazing.... (IMO)
I highly recommend trying it out. Throw in Sebastians kernel and having a Full day AND a half battery wont be a rarity any more.
there are a lot of guides on how to flash it, Its the most popular ROM, The guides are fairly simple, and if you dont like it, flash to something else

Which roms are the best and must be tested ?
I need your opinion.
ARHD, no doubt.
i cannot tell you which rom is the best one, all of our devs are awesome, and it is rude for us to compare roms.
i am using coindroid now, and it is really great.
They're all differently catered to each users own needs, really. Personally, I'm always torn between whether or not I want Sense or not. So i've moved between Elegancia 4.0 and Virtuous Inquisition. I enjoy the ablitity to have standard ICS, because it's definitely a bit quicker in some instances. I sometimes get better battery life, and the menus aren't cluttered with two settings (one for sense, one for ICS.) Sense is very good looking, however. The Widgets set your phone apart and its hard to beat the aesthetics of Sense.
That being said, I've used ARHD and to suggest it is anything but fantastic is foolish. Great battery life, great customization, very stable.
The devs here are great and they all bring something to the table.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA
There really isn't a best or worse Rom. They all have pros and cons. Some are more popular than others. Some people like sense, and some more AOSP like. 3.6 sense Roms are more stable than 4.0. Aosp like roms are faster and more battery friendly, but they are also more bland in my opinion (I like sense). Most of the 3.6 Roms are pretty stable and efficient. ARHD is great and stable and with lots of support, and it is also the most popular one and it is not themed at all (looks just like stock). The one I'm using now is Elegancia which is also great and stable with great support and heavily themed look that I for one enjoy. Insertcoin (also good) has the stock look but has some additional mods like Leedroid tweaks and battery percentage. These three are probably the most popular ones.
Like I said there really isn't a better or worse. It comes down to what you want and like.
right now i`m using virtuous inqusition . Is a great rom, nothing bad yet.

No offense meant to the op but I really hate these kind of threads. Besides the fact that there are approx. a billion and one threads with the same question, there is never an answer. Everybody likes different things and everybody will recommend what they themselves use. Personally I've got no use for ARHD but tons of people seem to like it. I've tried AOKP roms and like them but I actually miss having Sense so currently I'm on InsertCoin.
Try it all, that's what each and every one of these "what is the best..." threads ends up with. And just a suggestion for anybody else considering a "what's the best rom" thread....maybe use search and add to one of the already started threads?

I've been using Insert Coin for a while til I shifted to CoinDroid recently to check Sense 4 out. I suggest InsertCoin with Sense 3.6. But you have to try all to choose what is best for you
Try a few is the best for u...happy flashing!
Only you can decide which is the best rom for you, but I would recommend Insert Coin for Sense 3.6, and Ordoid for Sense 4.0. Although there are still bugs with all sense 4.0 roms atm, like you cant send files over bluetooth atm.
I use OpenSensation, very good ROM

These threads are always very subjective.. everyone will say that a particular ROM is better and everyone else will argue with that.

You should probably send him over to the Endeavor forum to increase his choices. He can flash one of theirs and tell us how it worked out

Sorry I could not resist. Back to being a good boy now.
Until we get the kernel source for the 4.0.4 I think sense 4.1 based roms are going to give the best performance and battery life. I do prefer aosp based roms but what is the point if you end up sacrificing all the things that aosp roms are supposed to give you just to get away from sense.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Yea I ended up going with aokp 4.0.4 and well after a day I actually missed some things from sense so went back to my backup
I think the reason I was skeptical of sense was because of touchwiz on my old skyrocket
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
What ROM did you decide on? I flashed pretty much all the available ROMs for our phone and found myself coming back to CleanROM 4.5. The CleanMODS definitely adds value and it's very good on battery too. Usually get about 16hours of moderate use and she's down to about 35% at the end of the day.
Also, Sense 4.0/4.1 is much better than any of the other OEM skins (TouchWIZ, Blurr, etc..) as it's the most intuitive of all the skins. Prefer it to AOSP Android now because it's just as snappy with so much functionality included. Ran AOSP ROMs on my old DZ because Sense 2.0, 2.1, 3.0, 3.5 were all crap and bloated; as soon as Sense 4.0 came out, it was like HTC finally got the message.
+1 for CleanRom.
Do your homework. The ScottsRoms CleanRom 4.5 DE had everything I wanted and nothing else to bog it down.
I'm also an APEX believer now for the fact that it restored my desktop after an upgrade.

Try clocking to 1.5 GHz (or 1.78 GHz). Then run benchmarks again.
still strong
yup it is still good phone considering I'm changing ROM every 2 days
Yes its still a very good phone. Great developers working hard and they have made this possible. Great support, great roms.
It's not bout the phone itself, it's about the Community.
And the Community itself is currently more vivid than any other comparable phone at this age.
The Community just made this phone such a great piece of hardware. And honestly I prefer the way it is built. I've never seen a smartphone where you can replace the whole body with a relatively cheap new Batterycover.
This biggest issue I have with this phone is every time I install a rom another seems to appear or get updated. It's usually right after I get everything set back up the way I like it, lol. Nearly every rom I've installed has been stable enough for everyday use. While I don't like using sense, the viper sense 5 rom is flying on this thing!
The community supporting the Sensation is absolutely awesome. Be it a ROM with or without Sense, you'll certainly find one that's going to make you appreciate this phone.
