[APP] 3D Photo Browser for the Sensation / ICS [Update 18. August 2012] - HTC Sensation

3D Photo Browser for our lovely Sensation / ICS
Swype the pictures left and right from your friends, family and all the
fantastic moments wherever you are right now and whenever you want.​
This little and usefull photobook app, some users and devs name it useless,
is the thing what is following me since i had my first tab.
Now i was able to bring it to the ICS running Sensation. In the past i had used it everytime.
And here goes the credit and a special Thank You to -luxor and -ElephantStone8.
Here and here you will find it back after a long time
(but don't forget ... XDA time is running faster then the normal time).
As a special Thank You to XDA to give something back
to that fantastic community, i'll bring it here to you... the Sensation users.​
luxor and ElephantStone8 have done this once for the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the
10 inch. After some work i had it working on my Galaxy Tab 7 P-1000 to.​
But now enough the words, see for your self how it looks...​

Thank You to the Coredroid team for the wonderfull Images.
And now how to install this on your phone:
- What you need is a root file explorer on your phone (as Sample the ES File Explorer from market).
- Download the rar files to your PC, extract it here (libraries and your 3D Photo Browser choice).
- Reaname the 3DPhotoBrowserXXX.apk to 3DPhotoBrowser.apk
- Then connect your phone via USB or WiFi to the PC and download the four (4) files somewhere to your sd-card.
Which one are the four files:
- 3DPhotoBrowser.apk -> copy this apk file to the /system/app folder
- libaceralbum.so
- libcaps.so -> this is the missing file for smali code in all installations for ICS (original there is only the libcapsjava.so)
- libphotoflow.so -> copy these three (3) lib files to the /systrem/lib folder
But don't forget to set the correct file rights!
- After copy the files in the right folders you will see rights as: rw- rw- rw-
- Change the rights of these files to: rw- r-- r--
- After that leave the file explorer and reboot your phone (NOT hot reboot).
- Wait for the phone is restarted and your media scan is done, the tweaks are running and your system is 100% up.
- Then start the Photo Browser and have fun.

Ideas for s new application icon (voting):
About some PM's for a different icon graphic, here the first one. Feel free to put your ideas in the thread (voting). To change the icon i'll take requests too. The icon size is 72x72 pixel for mdpi and hdpi and 36x36 pixel for ldpi.
There will be also a new icon and theme series with the 3D human's (in progress, start 29. July 2012).

That was my idea behind the 3D Photo Browser. I allways wish to a phone what is a little bit different then the normal one .

You need to have rooted device to use this. also you needed root file explorer or root file browser installed from which you can set and change permission of individual files.:good:

Please wait 1 1/2 hour, then i am home and i can answer.
Right now i am on the dutch highway
Update rzr86:
- Description based on ES File Explorer
- Start your root file browser
- Go to the folder /system/app
- Tip and hold your finger for two seconds on the 3DPhotoBrowser.apk
- Then a popup comes up (white background)
- Scroll down to Properties
- Tip with your top finger of your right hand on that entry (Properties)
- Then the next popup comes up (blue background)
- Here you can see the file rights
- Then Tip again with the finger on the button: Change
- There you can change the rights
- After changing tap on OK button
- Do this also with the lib files
- Then restart the phone and all is OK

i was missing you a longer time. Good to see you back here.
And yes i have started right now to develope the android way.
I had a lot of work the last month, but Sergio, DaDoctor,
Tigermoto, aortega, Ray, Dic3ptor and ljehl, i mean the whole
Coredroid Team have made a wonderfull rom.
So i have to give something back.

Glad to see the guys from the good old WM-Times coming to Android step by step

And yes, you´re right, CoreDroid-Team (and all other devs) are doing a great job, but i´m using Viper because of Jans awesome and in my opinion unreachable Tweaks, OTA-Update, Venom-Hub etc. etc. etc.

We are glad too, but we need more time because all the old wm s**t in our brain *lol.
BTW:
- so far you use ICS 4.01 as minimum it must be running
- please read the names of the first positing and check the libcaps.so
- is that lib NOT on your file system = install it and test it
- otherwise you can de-install it in the way or installation backwards
- it is running please report back here or via PM, and i will name you in a special quote for tested roms
- this can be done from everyone, because the app does no harm (it's run or fc)

Just closing good old CHT-Icons by tantin75 for new Venom-Theme (no theming while testing ), downloading your files and test, will report later.
And dont say WM-sh*t, it was really cool stuff and i know there are great things coming up by you guys

you are right it is not s**t. We had have a really cool time. Everyday around 3 hours of modding, discussion and testing. I know the hours of skyping with Michel and BHS. Jesus that was a time.
But good times comes allways back. Next step is to skin this little app.
Possible i'll take wishes to mod it step by step. See sample...

First start got FC, second start: Search for Media took a while, but can confirm that it works on ViperX v1.0.1 (HTC One X, Android 4.0.4)
On ViperS saugbaerchen did test succesfull before

And yes the 1st fc is possible (the lib). Possible a new compilation can fix it.

There are few different Team Venom Viper(s) running on different devices
BtW: Just connected my "SD" to PC, next time starting the App takes a while (~ 5 Mins) again scanning for media...

Upgrading
No wipe is explicitly required in order to use this ROM, however if you do encounter issues of any kind, it is recommended that you wipe your device and reproduce the issue before raising it here.

Well, here is a theme, you can say it is abit of MIUI and CM, but more of MIUI with the colour's swapped. The notification bar is 25%++ transparent. Hope you like it Give me feedback too

Flash this zip file after the first boot of the rom, you should not receive any errors, just make sure you are using Sensifried 2.0

First Startup instructions:
If you are asked which setup to use, choose setup wizard.
When asked to choose which home replacement you want choose Slidescreen if you want something different and choose Launcher Pro if you would like to be simple.
After this, you should be ready
One more thing, don't wait for your wifi to connect. Turn it off and don't turn it on again. Just use your mobile network if you have one (I DON'T)

Sorry it does not have FM radio, but on the brightside it is based on version 6.02
EDIT: It now has FM radio and is based on CM 6.1

Installation
Download the MIUI.us_PICO_vXXXX_SnapSeries_Signed_ideosdevzack.zip from the release link that follows
Backup your /data contents: contacts, apps, sms, etc. or backup via recovery
Move the MIUI.us_PICO_vXXXX_SnapSeries_Signed_ideosdevzack.zip to the root folder of your sdcard.
Enter CWM and:
- Select 'backup and restore -> Backup'
- Select 'wipe data/factory reset' (MUST DO)
- Flash the zip. To do this, Select 'install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard' and select the MIUI.us_PICO_vXXXX_SnapSeries_Signed_ideosdevzack.zip
- Flash gapps if you want them!
Reboot (first boot will take ~2 mins)

What Is "SnapSeries" ?
Is my own idea & build for Other Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 powered phone.
All this phone has lot's of potential and user with a low budget price tag.
It's seem to be soon replaced and ditched from support.

So Does "SnapSeries MIUI " is by MIUI.US?
SnapSeries is running build source from MIUI.Us as i am a developers from miui.us therefore the build for device is make use for other's under my device line up for the SnapSeries.Therefore it doesn't mean official support from MIUI.US
You can't get the build from their server as for sure due to some of device doesn't even has dedicated forum on MIUI.US

I am now still current outside without much connection to be able to check status of my upload but should be complete if doesn't fail again

Installation :silly:
1. Downloading the package is a must
2. You must know how to click the mouse buttons and press the keyboard keys.
3. If you did the two perfectly, you're ready to install the ROM. :laugh:
4. So, extract "Ice_Cream_Jelly-V3.zip" anywhere in your PC.
5. You'll see some files and a folder. Double click on "Installer.bat"
6. Select your language.
7. Press "1" and hit enter to continue if you agree to the terms.
8. If you prefer backing up your ROM, do it..(If you don't know how to please click "Show Content")
1. Press "3" on the keyboard and hit enter.
2. Press "1", hit enter and the backup will finish in 10-15 minutes.
3. After the backup finishes press "3" and hit enter to get back to main menu.
So tough na :laugh:
9. Now press "2" and hit enter
10. Now important step connect your phone directly without any hub to your machine. Make sure debugging is enabled.
11. All is set now, just hit any key. Don't ask me where's "any key" :laugh:
12. Sit and relax your phone is going to become a monster soon. :silly:

Porting
I see many users requesting me to port this ROM to their device. But I'm sorry guys I don't have enough time to do so. But if you know anyone who have a similar device of yours and knows porting you can contact him instead. The ROM can be easily ported to devices like XT532,XT316,XT317 with few changes.
But make sure you adhere the following rules.
Rules:
1. The name of the ROM should not be changed.
2. In the thread proper credits must be given to the respective people.
3. There should be a link to this thread.
4. Remember not to mod or port new things from my ROM without PM me.
5. Don't mod it again with few changes, and say thats a new ROM. If you think you can improve my work kindly PM me. We'll make a team and work together on the next version.

Installation :
1. First of all root your phone. If you don't know how to please refer this guide.
2. Make a nandroid of your current ROM to keep it as a backup for later. If you don't know how to click "SHOW CONTENT"
Making nandroid made simple :
1. Download Backup_Tool(XT530)
2. Extract using 7zip or winrar.
3. Double click "Start Backup.bat" and follow onscreen instructions.
4. It can take up to 5 minutes.
3. Download the ROM.
4. Extract it on your PC.
5. Double click "Ice_Cream_Jelly Installer.bat" in ROM folder.
6. Follow onscreen instructions.
7. Sit back, relax and have a coffee it can take up to 10 minutes.
8. Once the "Done!" message is displayed disconnect your phone.
9. First boot may take up to 5 minutes.
10. You have Ice_Cream_JellyV1 installed.

BRICKED?
Sad to hear that you bricked the device.
BUT there's nothing to worry if this is a soft brick we can recover it easily.
1. First of all refer this guide to make your phone working.
2. If you have the phone running and want your data back just restore nandroid via "FASTBOOT".
3. If you don't know how to do it, click "SHOW CONTENT"
Well restoring nandroid by my method is just a piece of cake.
1. Download Restore_Tool(XT530).zip
2. Extract it using winrar or 7zip.
3. Remember the backup you made with backup_tool?
Very Important Step:
4. Now mount your sdcard in PC and copy system.yaffs2.img and data.yaffs2.img from clockworkmod folder to the folder where you extracted Restore_Tool.
5. Now double click "Start Restore.bat" and follow onscreen instructions.
6. It can take up to 5 minutes.

4. Now mount your sdcard in PC and copy system.yaffs2.img and data.yaffs2.img from clockworkmod folder to the folder where you extracted Restore_Tool.

Porting
I see many users requesting me to port this ROM to their device. But I'm sorry guys I don't have enough time to do so. But if you know anyone who have a similar device of yours and knows porting you can contact him instead. The ROM can be easily ported to devices like XT532,XT316,XT317 with few changes.
But make sure you adhere the following rules.
Rules:
1. The name of the ROM should not be changed.
2. In the thread proper credits must be given to the respective people.
3. There should be a link to this thread.
4. Remember not to mod or port new things from my ROM without PM me.
5. Don't mod it again with few changes, and say thats a new ROM. If you think you can improve my work kindly PM me. We'll make a team and work together on the next version.

BUG FIXES
To all facing play store problem.
1.Turn off your phone
2.Turn it on holding vol - & vol + and power button i.e recovery mode.
(Press home when you see android man with exclamation sign)
3.Scroll down to wipe data using vol -.
4.Select it using power button.
5.Choose yes!
6. Now select reboot.
Remember it will erase all your data. So backup your messages, apps, contacts etc.

How to flash:
Download ROM and place it on your virtual SD card
Boot your phone in recovery mode (vol down + power)
In main menu, select "install zip from sdcard"

What is Sense Toolbox?
Sense Toolbox module contains a large variety of mods that will improve almost every aspect of your Sense device. You have to have Xposed installed to use these mods (except EQS reorder for older devices). For more info about Xposed refer to the original thread.
A note about compatibility. We develop the toolbox on ARHD on the HTC One M7 and M8. That ensures that every mod is compatible with ARHD. We can't test the mods on every other ROM. But as long as the ROM is near stock without deep changes, it should work there too. For the best and most complete experience I recommend using ARHD.

How to use the Toolbox?
First you must have Xposed Framework installed (more Info here). After that enable the Sense 5 Toolbox module in the Xposed Installer, set up the mods you like and tap 'Soft Reboot' icon to apply them.
You can also reorder EQS tiles using drag'n'drop on Sense versions prior to 5.5. Select EQS reorder option in Toolbox, tap a tile to remove it, use a '+' icon at the top to add new tile. Tap save icon when you're done.

Backup functionality
Toolbox supports settings backup and restore using default Andriod cloud capabilities. Enable backup in Settings > Backup & reset. Now every time you uninstall and install Toolbox its settings will be automatically restored. If you want to save/restore settings between reinstallations, use local backup on SDCard function (its button is next to Hot Reboot).

EQS Backup function (Sense 5)
Due to the nature of ROM flashes you will loose your custom order on every flash. A backup will be made at every save of the order to overcome that. Start the app and tap the clock icon at the top to restore your order after a ROM flash, then save and soft reboot. Backup is saved to your internal storage. Note that it will be removed if you uninstall Toolbox, or do a factory reset. You can probably save it with the usual backup tools or save the Android/data/com.langerhans.one/ folder on your SDCard.

1. When I try to enter recovery it just blinks for a second and the phone reboots. How do I get into recovery?
Use Vol-Down + Power to enter fastboot mode. Now connect the phone to the PC and use 'fastboot erase cache'. After that it should be able to boot recovery correctly.​2. The phone rebooted itself while installing the ROM, now it just bootloops. How should I recover my phone?
Reboot into recovery and flash again. If recovery won't load, check FAQ 1.​3. Do I need to wipe my data everytime I flash a new version?
No, a data wipe is only needed when you come from stock or another custom ROM. It is also recommended but not manadtory to wipe when there is a base update. A wipe is needed if you want to go to GE ROM​4. Do I need to flash boot.img seperately?
No, the installer will flash it for you.​5. Can I flash this ROM on my T-Mobile / AT&T / Rogers... variant?
Yes, you can. The ROM will work on all the variants except Sprint, as it has some significant differences. Sprint is supported only with version 31.6 as of now. WiFi calling is available in version 31.6.​6. And where do I get the old versions?

In fact your signal is not lower. The lower singnal bar display is a cosmetic issue. To check your actual signal strength go to Settings->Info->Network and look for the dbm value. When you compare this you will notice your signal strengh is okay.​8. I forgot to select an option in AROMA / I don't want a mod anymore. How can I add/remove it afterwards?
Reflash the ROM with the desired options. No wipe required.​9. How do I get rid of the 3-dot-menu?
As of the 4.2.2 update HTC introduced the Long-press-home-as-menu functionality, which also removes the black menu bar. Activate it under Settings -> Display -> Home Button.​10. Volume-wakeup mod doesn't work sometimes, is there a fix?
Some variations of the VolWake mod won't work in deep sleep mode. You need to use another variant, like inside a custom kernel.​11. Speaking of kernels, which one do you recommend?
This is mainly a matter of personal taste. I use the stock kernel included in AR HD. It is stable and works nicely. You are free to try other kernels, but make sure you report kernel issues on the kernel's thread.​12. When will you upload version x.y?
Please, don't ask for ETAs. It will be uploaded, when it's done Sometimes, Mike likes to take a nap!​13. Can you include the super awesome mod xyz?
This ROM is meant to be an optimized stock ROM with some important mods in AROMA (APM, %battery etc). Please note that adding more mods also adds possibility for bugs, and increases the size of the ROM.zip​14. Do I need to update my radio/firmware to flash the ROM?

Install either APM mod or use the xposed framework and MoDaCo Toolkit. It has a mod in it for removing the Kids menu from APM. Xposed is available in AROMA, MoDaCo Toolkit is a seperate download. For removing the actual app, you can use TitaniumBackup and use it's function to remove system apps.​20. My WiFi passwords aren't stored anymore. How can I fix this?
You have probably selected the AT&T option in AROMA. For a quick fix reflash the ROM, select international version (no wipe needed, please see FAQ 7 for a note about signal bars when using the international version on AT&T)​21. How do I remove the power saver notification?

Q 2: My Premium Navigation doesn't work correctly. What should I do?
A: Your Premium Navigation may not work correctly for many reasons. Most of them are not ROM related. You can try the following things:
- reinstall your Locations under "Settings" ---> "Locations"
- remove /sdcard/.data/navigator/Data/Temporary from your SD card
- re-download Google Maps from the Android Market
- clear data from Google Maps in system software management

A: In first place you should check, if the MD5 Checksum is correct. Then flash ROM again and see if the issue is gone. A lot of strange issues can be solved this way.

Q 16: My Quadrant score is not as high as on different ROM. What does it mean?
A: It means absolutely nothing. Benchmarks on Android System are more or less lottery and they are not showing the real system performance.
There are many settings that can force Quadrant to show more then 3000 points but it's faked performance, that actually can slow down your phone in some circumstances.
What I always emphasize is a real performance, the one you can feel under your fingers. Remember that I/O has some limit and surpassing it shows just a numbers without true ratio.
Also keep in mind that Quadrant has support for Android Gingerbread only in version 1.1.7 and higher.

I don't have mine yet, but I had a chance to play with it during the event in London. It is really amazing device with gorgeous screen.

Is not that hard!

I downloaded the ROM (Thanks Mike) and extracted it to a folder on my Ububtu laptop to view the values of the Thermald.conf file in /system/etc, however after attempting to open it with jEdit & Hex editor, I can't get a human legible output, also I ran the Linux 'od' command.
It appears that the file is in binary format, or I am being utterly stupid. This may be noob for some, but for me it's quite advanced

It used to be plain text (e.g. in HTC Sensation) but I also noticed it's not that simple anymore.

can it be, that with the revolution, DHCP does not work proper? cant grand acces to my Wlan - jeah, i know, there is no kernel, but if had the same stockkernel as the Revolution
can the wrong kernel can be a reason for no conecting to wlan?

Originally started in XL by @ImagioX1 team leader. Now brought to One S by myself and help from members newly based team working on the sense 5 port.
well this is my first Rom. Hope you enjoy.....
Directions
1.Make nandroid of your current rom.
2 Wipe cache,dalvik cache, system, and factory reset
3.Flash rom
4 If your're s-off or on hboot 1.09 then you can reboot to system. If your're not s-off and have hboot 1.14 or greater go to step 5
5 Reboot to bootloader and select fastboot
6 Open the rom.zip and copy the boot.img to your fastboot directory.
7.Plug phone into computer and verify connection
8 Flash boot.img with this command: fastboot flash boot boot.img
9 Now you can reboot to system and enjoy the rom

Screenshots to follow soon its well worth trying this Rom its super quick and only Bluetooth, fmradio and some streaming audio problems but overall for the majority of users this isn't a major problem I for one have never used Bluetooth on my phone as never seen the need to

Are you T-Mobile or an international version. Also on the box does it say snap dragon s4 as its chip. If not then you are the s3 version
