TouchWiz 4 problems

I installed TouchWiz 4.5 from the xda forum. It was fine the first 2 days then on the 3rd day the phone would seem to want to force close but then turn off since TW was the primary launcher. Later that day I switched over to a custom launcher and it never turned off on its own.

So are you asking for help on tw, our have you already settled in with another launcher and no longer need any help? i would try fixing permissions in recovery and trying again if you want to keep tw. also, what rom are you on?

I want to continue to use TW and I am running a deodexed and rooted KF2.

I had a similar problem when installing Audiophile 1.7. TW would force close on me like mad. I eventually installed a different launcher which seemed to work fine.

ICE smooth 4.0 launcher change

Just up updated to the latest and greatest ice smooth 4.0. ROM is great but much to my disappointment it came with the apex launcher which I hate.
So I wanted to ask if I did this the correct way. Its working but I'd rather get a confirmation.
Delete launcher2.apk from /system/app.
Reboot
Extract launcher2.apk from.icesmooth3.1.zip
Move to system/app
Reboot
As I said its back to the correct launcher and functioning, just wanted some opinions on if this was the correct way to roll back the launcher. Or is there an easier way?

Or just download whatever launcher you like...?

Titanium is easier for removing then just download the launcher that you like.

[Q] Rooted stock ICS, how do I switch to stock launcher?

I updated to the stock ICS and rooted. I'd like to check out the default ICS launcher but don't know how to switch from the Samsung one.

You can't..we have Samsung phones touch wiz is stock.

On Samsung devices, TouchWiz is stock. If you're looking for something with a CM, AOSP or AOKP style launcher, your best bet would be nova launcher or holo launcher. Nova only works on ICS/JB, and is more stable, holo launcher works on GB-JB

Can anyone pleases tell me how to get stock ics camera app for jb,please i am not able to find one.

Pull Gallery2.apk from a stock ics rom and replace the same file in /system/app

But in ics from rogers there are two apks ie gallery3d.apk and camera apk.
But in jb its simply gallery apk so how should i get stock camera app,from stock rogers ics?

Those would be the correct files.

I think he is trying to say the Samsung stock camera app, which isn't altogether possible as it relies heavily on TouchWiz. Someone was working on modding framework files to get stock Samsung apps to work but not specifically the camera.

Circle lock screen

Has anyone been able to get the jelly bean lock screen that has the circle with the quick launch apps around it? I tried searching but to no avail I found squat. I'm running the ota jb update rooted

Check some of the touchwiz roms, they have it, if you read the op description.(which I doubt you do)

I'm not looking to re flash a new rom. I'm just looking for a way to flash a fix over the rom I have that changes the touchwiz one.
