That is a hard brick not a soft brick. A soft brick is a bootloop. A hard brick is no power. There is currently not any way to fix this. There are a few people looking into JTAG services or devices, or getting a warranty exchange, or getting another phone altogether.
We have been warning people for days now about this issue. I am sorry that you got a hard brick from the ICS leak and then attempting an fxz back, I feel bad, but you know the risks with doing these kind of things, I would hope.

Try and see if you can find someone that does JTAG services on the web. and see if you can send it in to them, and hopefully get it un-bricked. Just a thought here.
It might not be cheap, maybe the equivalent of 100 US dollars.
I consider the hard brick is unable to open the power supply, this phone is to turn the power on, only the startup screen circulation

Oh, you are in a bootloop... does your friend have a backup? Do you or he know how to get into CWM using the BP tools menu? You might be able to restore a backup of ICS to get it working again. Is it a US AT&T version of the phone? If so you might be able to get someone to post a backup, but check to see if you can at least get into BP tools and go to recovery from there, that should get you to CWM.

You can restore ICS, not flash it again because of signature checking. It must be from GB 2.3.6 stock.

I just think so because I guess he wants to flash ICS leak zip file again (that file you uploaded before pulled out), not restore clockwordmod backup by another upload.

Hold vol up+down and turn the phone on. Select BP Tools at the bottom of the menu. If you didn't have bootstrap installed before it won't work. It may still not work. If you can't get the menu your hardbricked.

Boot into recovery, wipe the data/factory reset..and load up a new Rom.
Don't send it back. I don't know much about the Droid 2 but if you get it working you need not send it back.
You should have researched before rooting bro.

What I did when I am frozen now is started my phone up holding the X key, went into some menu and wiped data to factory settings, would that have cleared the root?
no that just clears any bad data preventing boot up, not root. you should also be able to use that recovery to flash a different rom. (stock rom maybe?!)
if your phone turns on, it doesnt need to go back, you need to learn how to read,
root isnt the only thing that voids your warranty. the custom rom does too!
read the XDA user guide in my sig, learn where your device sub-forum is, learn where to find "stickies" in each sub-forum of your device.
find said stickies and READ THEM for your device.

Hey guys,
So I have the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket with AT&T and I have it rooted etc. Today I tried flashing the MIUI rom, but was unsuccessful due to a message saying "Installation aborted". So I did as I read to do and wiped cache, Delvik or w/e, and then I reformatted the SDcard to redownload the ROM, however when I rebooted the next time it did not boot back up. Now I have the phone completely dead it would seem, I have tried the button combinations, etc to no avail.
What happened and is there anything I can do?
How can my phone be bricked if I never got to install a new ROM? I can't be without it for too long so any answers would be appreciated
Thanks,
Smernst

appdroid said:
Brick → When used in reference to consumer electronics, "brick" describes a device that cannot function in any capacity (such as a device with damaged firmware). This usage derives from the fact that some electronic devices (and their detachable power supplies) are vaguely brick-shaped, and so those which do not function are useful only as actual bricks. The term can also be used as a verb. For example, "I bricked my phone when I tried to modify its firmware.
Hard Brick → When your phone does not turn on at all. When you can’t get in to CWR/CWM Or Stock recovery. You are basically screwed. If its hard brick Here is thread that will help you!!!

Heheh...actually I didn't follow the directions! The ones that I was watching showed an error message popping up, and to then look in the device manager; I got an error message once but thought it was wrong and then kept trying to replicate it, but no error message showed. I just hadn't thought to just look in the device manager, and when I did, there it was! ^_^

Not impossible, just improbable, if you attach the phone with something which operates at a file-system level you can brick it. Granted with NV flash, we can NV flash CWM back on and we know we can flash a baseband, so there's not much else which we could access that we could permanately screw-up which can't be unscrewed in some fashion.
hope you have the july baseband before rooting, or else you made an extra step for yourself
I was caught in a boot loop and tried to re flash, when in my haste I forgot that Odin will recheck partition when loading .Pit files (pretty lame feature)
Still it was my fault for clicking start in haste.
**phone was partitioned, and would not go into download mode, it was stuck in a screen that said "Firmware update error, please restore in Kies", but it wouldn't connect to kies**
I sent my phone to XDA member Connexion2005
http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1602851
I haven't got it in my hands yet, but he just told me it was fixed, I can't wait to get it back and leave it the hell alone (until someone makes CM7 or better work on it)
anyhow, this is out there so if you do what I did (DON'T) there's a solution. Set me back $50 plus shipping to TX from NYC but still, I didn't have to get a whole new phone.

Please elaborate. Not finding much info on this "uberfixit", but it sounds like it's some method of re-creating the stock filesystem that's flashable in odin?
I was putting this out there, because I'm not the only one that this will happen to.
yea it happens when you repartition, an uberfixit requires a complete dump of the phone and quite a bit of time, but will completely fix what you described
the problem with repartitioning is that it wipes the phone clean and then starts to reinstall everything, problem is neither one of teh tars has the full dump (we do it for the sake of saving actual bricks)
knowing someone who can jtag is great we have had a few epic 4g touches that crashed and burned and were saved via jtag.

it's all good, bottom line is I f'd up my device, but now its fixed.
um...yeah...
So i did the exact same thing as you... Been trying to find anyone who can help me out. Is there anyway I can fix it myself? I haven't found a single place in my whole state that can fix the problem. If at all possible, I'd like to avoid sending it out for repair.
So how do I get this uberfixit?
I stupidly re-partitioned using Odin, also: I did not realize that Odin re-checked the check box -even after unchecking- when a new pda file was loaded. My bad. Totally though it was bricked until i was able to flash this stock gingerbread rom, but now kies says that my Blaze S does not qualify for upgrades... Did the re-partitioning do this?
I can no longer get to the recovery screen, although if I restart my blaze while connected to a pc via usb, it does allow the "re-install OS?" page to display, and I can get to recover from there: But absolutely no more access to the recovery "menu" which allows me to wipe cache/restore to factory/etc.

Most likely you, while installing a custom recovery or custom ROM, forgot to unlock your boot loader.
For future reference you can unlock he boot loader using this app

I hate to say it but I doubt his method is going to fix your phone in this situation.. I have been in this situation and you need to follow the soft brick method here

90% sure your binary count has been tripped as well and you will need to reset that as well if you ever plan to ship to Verizon.
Binary count number can be viewed in download mode by the way.
Flash count can be reset useing this app.
After you unsoft bricked.
