[APP][Beta] Multitouch XDA-LiveWallpaper(first ever?) - Android Apps and Games

Just want to share from 3vo section but not stereoscopic yet, so it should run on your Android phone.
thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29056691#post29056691 (you are also welcome without 3vo)
latest version:
Update 4 (26.07.12) :
LSD-Wallpaper V4 XDA-Version V3! Resize and own Pictures.
Wallpaper should work on any display resolution.
-Options are working. -
-3 build in images or load own picture. Picture will be resized on load. Transparent png working.
-You can toggle waves on or off now..
Wallpaper is funny with own pictures of peoples and faces.
Issues:
If you want to use options to load own foto.png or own foto.jpg there must be the files foto.png or foto.jpg direct on sdcard, else it will forceClose. Will add a album selection with cropping there.
If you toggle waves on or off it will load xda image, so you have to select the picture you want again after toggling waves.

Have you tried it?

same here, i think it will work but resolution is so much diffrent from 3vo it will be very uncentered.
But just try, code is not so far from perfect(pretty clean and short) and I could not imagin how this could harm a phone. I will fix all sizes soon.
its just something like(original):
" ...float distance = (float) Math.sqrt((d.x-tpx)*(d.x-tpx) + (d.y-tpy)*(d.y-tpy));
float D=0.001f*f*(m/distance);o.z+=D*(tpx-d.x);d.z+=D*(tpy-d.y);}//}else{o.z-=D*(tp.x-d.x);d.z-=D*(tp.y-d.y);
} o.z+= wfx; wfx+=(float)( (Math.floor( Math.random()*2)*.01)-(Math.floor( Math.random()*2)*.01));
d.z+= wfx; wfx*=.99; o.z*=.95f;d.z*=.95f;d.x+=o.z;d.y+=d.z...; "

lol I am thinking about com.lsdpipe.lsdlifewallpaper.lsdvibrate but that would be even to strange for a com.lsdpipe.lsdlifewallpaper or would someone like to be lsd.shaked by those com.lsdpipe.lsdlifewallpaper.lsdflashes.lsdshakes? I think you are not ready.
Drugs can destroy life but .com.lsdpipe is a harmless substituting if you are to unflashed. But I realy dont want to substitute drugs in any way.

Works well. But i feel it needs something else....
Probably needs a few bottles of beer. Gonna get some and stare at my screen for a bit. Brb

Very great: I downloaded AIDE from PlayStore, copied live-wallpaper eclipse project to sd card, opened it with AIDE and could build it without changing anything.
So I can code and compile on phone in a great way. Thanks AIDE!

Problems with cm6 wallpaper

What issue up with the wallpaper in cm6. If I load a wallpaper from an app it is perfect. But in gallery3d and 2d it just gives a tiny little box to assign. Then you have a zoomed on section of the wallpaper. Which looks like crap. Yes the pictures are the right size and I have used many of them thru multiple roms with no issues.

ya I know what u mean ... I was noticing that the other day ....
do you know of a app that u can load ur own wallpapers in and then apply them that works properly? I don't mind using a app, I just want my wallpapers to display properly lol.

oh I didn't know he was talking about that ....
I was referring to a one screen wallpaper. If I have the background set to not scroll in LP and I try adding a wallpaper that is 320x480 (which should be the size for a single screen) it is all stretched and weird looking. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this .... Ill have to test it out some more.
Omg lol
I tried moving it with the pinch zoom. I didn't realize you had to tap it to start the moveing of it. Rhbx alot.

I can only choose, at most, half of the wallpaper. Once you have dragged to the sides, thats it. You cannot sellected the entire photo for the background

The selection is based on the dimensions of the picture provided. It will keep the scale of the background because it doesn't contort the image to fit all dimensions. Using portrait photographs and such isn't very good for backgrounds for this reason.

Same prob w/ my N1 and CM. I'm not using a portrait photograph, using a vertical one that when I view the pic on my screen, it fills the screen perfectly in the correct resolution, but when I try and set it as a wallpaper, the cropping tool is a square, instead of a vertical rectangle as it should be, so I can only get part of the picture in the cropping square, and then it blows that up and distorts it...
Some pictures cant be allotted to the correct size it makes you crop, however.
Pictures taken from the phones camera won't crop and display correctly for me at times. I generally just download stuff thats already at the right resolution though

I ended up buying Wallpaper Plus (since I usually make my own wallpapers) off the market and got my desired results. Seems to be the only way to get that to happen... Weird problem, wouldn't think it would exist...
You can also use a live wallpaper called multpicture to select either one picture or a folder to show fullscreen. Mp is free on the market

[MOD] Binary battery display

Just finished this a few hours ago, and may be moving the decimal display a little for aesthetic reasons... But battery display is based on binary, read from bottom right to left top. Built using the apk from EB v1.04 Froyo, so I know it works with that rom. I may also remake the indicator with 3D spheres for a more high end look... the images have a transparent background, so on the black status bar of EB it looks nice (screenshots in a few)
apk is put into a 7z so it will upload here rather than putting it on MU or something.
Let me know what you think. And as always be sure to backup before using - just because I didn't have any issues doesn't mean you won't.
framework-res.apk is here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YQVDW6OS
--Added an image of the different colors in 3D that will be used. This will be a slow going change since I'm using my original and there hasn't been much of an interest (it seems). But once finished it will be put up for those that may want it.
Cool dude nice work. Never seen this type of battier mod, good job keeping things new.

[DISCONTINUED]WebOS Style Recent App Switcher V1.1 [02/05/12 - Updated for AOKP V2.1]

UPDATE: I will not be updating this project anymore as I do not have so much time(job commitments).
Hello there. I've been working on this port for the past day and finally I've managed to come up with something, though not perfect yet. I'll be working on this for the next few days. For all the AOKP users, there's this option of switching to a horizontal recents window in ROM Control. However, it's borked. Thumbnails are small, the resolutions of those thumbnails are low and only 1 side of the screen is shaded. So I've modded the framework-res.apl and SystemUI.apk such that it works nicely, though not perfect yet. If you don't like it, you can always switch back to the vertical recent app switcher by unchecking horizontal recents window option in ROM Control.
Currently, this only works for AOKP v1.8 and not any other ROMs. I'll port it to the other AOSP roms when I have the time (Exams are nearing, damn).
Simply flash the zip via recovery to enable the mod. For other rom, if you don't like the mod, simply flash the removal zip.

how did you get this working? I tried a few days ago but could not get my systemui to recompile.
And nice work by the way
I've downloaded a repackaged apk manager modded by someone.. couldn't remember where I found it but it contains a set of modded apktool and aapt tools that works with ICS. Maybe you can look here to find out about problems with decompiling/recompiling ICS apks. Credits to artvandelay440.
Updated V1.1 [06/04/12]
- Optimized resolution, layout and size of thumnails.
- Released for CM9(29Mar) Landscape only
Potrait mode has to be reworked.
Good job on porting, the most difficult part is getting everything spaced right (and recompiling the framework).
The problem with the portrait view is the layout won't change unless you quit out of the recents view and open it again, but then on rotate it will be stuck in that view. This may just be a limitation to the tablet view (something that could probably be fixed if building from source, but much more complicated in smali, and probably impossible in the layout xml)
Even with these limitations a vertical scroll might work well, rotate will just be broken while viewing the recents. I'll let you know if I make any progress.
Just flashed on CM9, do I have to do anything else cause it still look the same.
Got message at the end "WebOS Style Switcher disable"

[Request] A little help with this lock screen

Hey i been trying for a while to get googles stock ICS lockscreen on my rom im making.
So i tried to just rename the lg lockscreen with a .bak at the end (to just basicaly disable it) and i do get the ICS lock screen.
But i get a grey area at the bottom of my screen plus it has no background its just what i was on before i locked it.
Then i can also press the home key and it unlocks my phone so its pretty useless.
Does anyone know if there is an APK that i can overwrite my current lg lock screen with? Or a way to get the way i tried to work properly?
Thanks

just edit build.prop And change
Code:
ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=true
to
Code:

in the future Post in the General section Since the O3D does not have a Q&A section

You Could try Change Density to 219 Makes the screen Look Bigger plus i could swear at that density the 3D is much clearer like the sweetspot has expanded then again i haven't used the 3D Function in a long time maybe it has always been like that
Pics below also disabling OSP gave me more free ram
Changing density might prevent some applications from playstore to install.(at least that used to happen in gingerbread)

A whole bunch of categories and apps would disappear for me like a bunch of Google apps and such.

It doesnt happen immediately.
For example (if i remember well) some of the apps that weren't anymore available for me was dolphin browser, ulleese speedometer and a few others... dont remember most of them because i havent played with dpi for more than a year.
You will get a message from playstore telling you that the application is not available for your device (although it normally is).
Sorry about the long time to reply but here is the screenshot with the grey bar.

I would recommend against editing the dpi. For one, it breaks the Android CTS requirements ("Device implementations MUST use only displays with a single static configuration. That is, device implementations MUST NOT enable multiple screen configurations. For instance, since a typical television supports multiple resolutions such as 1080p, 720p, and so on, this configuration is not compatible with Android 2.3"), and furthermore as others have said it makes a bunch of apps from Google Play vanish.
Emmm lol what was the default DPI again I forgot

[Q] Annoying wallpaper settings

So in Jelly Bean, the option to crop when setting a wallpaper is becoming a breaking point for me. I can never get the entire parts of the wallpapers I want to use, as it will let me crop mostly only a third of the whole picture! Is there a way around the cropping process so that I can set the picture directly to my wallpaper? I will provide a screenshot of what I'm talking about to help. Currently running Slim Bean ROM v3.0.0
wallpaper
I noticed the same thing about my G3 and realized that its just ICE or even the Samsung firmware, of course you're obviously limited as to the size of image you can use but there is a way around this . I installed a new launcher( Next launcher) that gave me scrollable wallpapers but I still had the cropping issue. The next step was installing Quick Pic , it overrides the crop and you can scroll the image .
I hope that helps a little

I asked for answers, not petty remarks.
There are multiple apps in the play store that will not crop pics but if the pic has a small or a wide resolution obviously you wont fit it all on your screen. I use this app personally https://play.google.com/store/apps/...251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5qcGN4Yy53YWxscGFwZXIiXQ..
I have always used 'wallpaper wizardii' to set pics as exact and not cropped. I think all this stems from old phones that didn't have scrolling screens. We all(those of us old enough) got used to seeing the whole picture that we chose. With scrolling screens the software wants to expand the image.
