[Q] Samsung galaxy 551

Using cyanogenmod 7.2..Everything's fine..as smooth as possible..

rooted Galaxy 551 error dialer storage (process com.android.phone) has stopped.....
I am one week into my rooted Galaxy 551 (which I have been LOVING) but last night I did something stupid. It seems as though after I uninstalled a dialer process (with Titanium Backup) i keep getting the above error.
i tried doing a factory reset to see if the problem would disappear...didn't work.
And Now, when I rebooted my phone, I have no signal/no service.
Can someone help me to get my signal/service back?

Maybe you can unroot your phone ..or again install the stock android rom....other than that..try removing your battery and inserting it and then starting up your phone....
you should ask some other members...i too am a noob here....sorry couldnt help you....

Hey guys i found out that the best thing to do right now is upgrade your phone to 2.3.6 using odin and flash arkas 1.5 einherjar rom..its the best and the most stable rom with lots of features..cm7 is still in developing stage..so till arkas 1.5 is seriously good....
Been using for a day and no bugs...
really happy with the results...

Hey can anyone tell me which is the best way to download FULL version live wallpapers for this phone..Whatever i get from market are free version with less settings..and in market there are some LW's which "are incompatible with my device" but when i download those apks by searching in google they run quite smoothly..
So any specific site or method to download full version live wallpapers for galaxy 551??

do not ask for these things here buddy this is XDA developers. u are to support the dev. no WAREZ allowed. u might even recieve an infraction from a moderator for this.. btw welcome to XDA noob !

u wouldnt have this problem if ull search ! u have to reflash the rom now.

I have just bought a CSL switch mi280 QT..i rooted it but cant do anything with it because i cant find any custom roms available and its running on android 2.2.2 which is kinda outdated.. any1 here got any custome rom available for the phone?

i've got thee same phone too. Runs well because it's on stock rom and I also use Zeam launcher which is blazing fast, but yeah there's no custom rom for the phone, and do you mind telling me what do you use to root it? Thank you

Hi wat launcher is that? mine came with go launcher ex when i bought it.
i used gingerbreak to root it...very easy~

search for Zeam Launcher in Play store. Go launcher very meh maaa and resource heavy also. So how is your phone doing? any probs so far?

and also, do you know if there are any cases sold for this phone? rubber casing or hard plastic. If they are sold, tell me where okay? Thank you in advance

i kinda messed up my recovery, now i cant do factory reset or go into recovery.
is it possible for you to copy your recovery.img and send it to me?

Well, I guess nobody wanna "play" with this phone, it was designed mainly for business, not for entertainment. We just have to wait until CSL release the official Gingerbread ROM for this phone .

Already emailed CSL & ask them when the update will be available but they replied ( kinda rude ) ... with "no" only,nothing else...

Hi everybody, i just bought an Lenovo lephone in China. But the ics is only english or chinese. Could someone tell me how to put inside an italian operative system?Of course an ics 4.0.3. Thanks to everyone. And...please....help me!!! : D

didn't notice it earlier.
I seen it on mall today, kind of interesting. good spec, but it has a great price.
5", 1 Ghz Dual Core, 512 RAM right?
I'm in south east asia though, Indonesia forthe exact coutry.

No flash lite in camera. But no google play market access also.

I got the s880 too, living in germany now. No way to get google playstore? Device itself is rocking
Best would be a different rom...any ideas?

it doesnt have flashlight. but the quality of the camera is acceptable
and for those who think this doesnt have google playstore, it has indeed.
and its dual sim GSM-GSM too (1 hsdpa and 2 gprs)
im very pleased with this device so far..............

my google play store does not work, even after rooting. so how did u get it?
and also google+ or some other apps will not work - they crash after opening. any solution?

Hi see my response on another thread.
It took a bit of effort but managed to get Gmail, playstore, maps, YouTube, etc . working. Only thing I'm having problems with is voice search.

i dont know how to get indonesian ROM version for this devices, as for me, the version of rom when i bought here already has indonesian languange, etc.
for the custom ROM, i found some links, but its still in chinesse. so if you somehow manage to read and installed it on your own (coz i did translate it with google translate but still couldnt understand it perfectly), please pm me the tutorials

The links are based on the assumption that one has custom recovery or Clockworkmod recovery. If you have it, you just need to put the zip file in your SDcard after renaming it update.zip. Then, boot to recovery and update from sdcard. I tried one of the ROMS, one that mimics Samsung sIII, and it is okay. But there are no virtual keys. The volume keys and power keys are converted and applications are used for volume and reboot. The ROM is multilingual and has google market. The FM radio is not working, at least, for me. And there is no FM transmitter application. I had to change back to official ROM. All the same, it is a good ROM.
Is there any way to change /Data to the internal sdcard? The internal sdcard is useless for me because I use external one.

wait ... let me figure out how to flash because i also cant understand chinese i just bought this phone
from china and my fren help me to flash to ROW rom ....

Read this manual, also applies to S880
And BTW: a newer S880_ROW_S108_120906_USER.rar is out
Warning though: If you flash a factory ROW, you loose any ROOT that your vendor may have put on for you. I propose when you flash, you *skip* the recovery, so it keeps the recovery your vendor has put on for you.

[Q] LG P990 After ROM install

Hi there,
I'm new to this forum and i already noticed you guys preverlablie have no noobs in this threat, but i dont know where to put my question and i realy need some experts help ho knows where he's talking about, i thought i did. But apperentlie not. And my english sucks its not my native language. Im from Holland.
And this is the part where you guys can laugh your asses of. The situation : I have a LG P990 mobile and it was working slow as hell with the stock ROM installed, So i dowloaded the Domination ROM for the LG P990, rooted my phone and installed Clockwork rebooted my phone did a backup and flashed the ROM and flashed Gapps. The ROM looks nice but is a bit unstable when i go to internet the screen flashes and installing apps is a bit tricky, my camera works but asks to insert a SDcard. Same thing if i go to Gallery. So i decided to go back to my stock ROM and look for another one ho works better. And this is when the **** hits the fan :crying: When i want to restore my backup using Clockwork it says it cant find no backup so thats problem nummero uno, for seconds ( because my phone likes to F*** with me ) I thougt to be a smart guy and just download a stock ROM and put it on my phone and flash that ROM but here's the catch : My PC wont let me connect with the phone or the otherway around. Its all the same.... Can someone help me please to fix my phone because this sucks big ones.

I got my phone to recognise the damn pc it looked sweet all the **** i wanted, only that was short lived i have a kid 3 years old and run over my "connection cable" so it was lost and when i plugged it in again it was broke again, arghhh

Restoring IMEI

Hey there fellas, it was great to find your forums!
Im from Brazil and ts my first post and and, of course, I do have a problem...kinda big one!
After installing and factory reseting a couple of ICS versions, to my Razr HD XT925 my IMEI has changed to "0" and my cel phone.Of course I dont have a back up (I know...silly me) and of course that, as a cel phone, it isnt working anymore!
I've found a great post here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1960918), but I cant get the right drivers installed so my phone isnt in the QPST config list (Im using Windows 7 64bits Compilation 7061). I've installed the latest drivers version already (MotorolaDeviceManager_2.3.4) and no matter what, I can´t get it.
Attached I'll post a screen shot with the missed drivers name so maybe someone can give an advice about how to get them in order to complete the procedure and get my cellphone alive again...because till now, it's has became an expensive iPod!
