No, I do not have a full I535VRUCML1 firmware package for you.
Yes, I somewhat lied in the title of this thread. But I did it for a good reason: to get your attention.
Mods - I'm sure you'll understand.
You should NOT flash the I535VRUCML1 firmware (or any subsequent releases for that matter). You will brick. This is what vzw/samsung did on the first OTA for the Galaxy S4. They changed the keys they sign the firmware with. This prevents us from 'mis-matching' our firmware like we've been doing all along. We've been leaving aboot (VRUAME6, the african-canadian sock-monkey leaked bootloader) alone and updating everything else. Since they're signing with different keys now, doing this will brick your device. If you update the ENTIRE bootchain (including aboot) you shouldn't brick, but will be stuck with a locked bootloader and any attempt to downgrade (via dd, etc) will brick you as well. Even if you manage to flash an ENTIRE old bootchain over VRUCML1, you'll brick because they trip a qfuse that prevents it from working. More info about qfuse by djrbliss here: http://t.co/myb0LIrN6e
Just stick with VRUBMF1, trust me.
These firmware updates have, up until now, consisted of several partitions that we update:
- tz (trustzone)
- rpm (resource/power management)
- sbl[1,2,3] (secure bootloaders)
- NON-HLOS (modem/baseband)
Due to the way Samsung and Verizon have chosen to proceed with future updates (following what they do for the Galaxy S4) we cannot flash all these partitions anymore (see above) and retain our unlocked bootloader. We CAN, however, update the baseband as it's not signed.
Latest firmware: NE1 modem with MF1 firmware: http://www.invisiblek.org/firmware/d2/d2vzw_MF1_firmware_NE1_modem.zip (md5sum: 7a49bb13c1160f4d4a89488127684b5b)
This will be the final zip I make. MF1 was the last firmware that allowed us to use the old bootloader, and NE1 is likely to be the last modem we'll ever receive.
How would we measure objectively, coverage/speed differences between what we have the old and new radios?
I guess bandwidth speed test app? Anything else?
Sweet. Maybe I'll get better signal. My voice/1x reception has been worse than my old dx. I'm dropping calls left and right. I also live in the middle of BFE.
how is baseband/radio affected when we flash something else with cwm or with Odin? I mean, I have stock rooted w. b00stedv.002, but if I flash aokp or cm, will it replace this new radio with whatever one is included with them?
Slightly OT, I remember on the dx, if you wanted to sbf without the radio you did it with Linux, otherwise with moto's rsdlite.
Will this wipe data/swap us back to a stockish rom?
invisiblek said:
I've always liked having a thread dedicated to keeping links for the most updated modems for a device. Just easier to find that way.
These are packaged for flashing with Odin. Flash in the PDA section.
I will not promise anything as far as faster speeds or better coverage.
IMPORTANT:
Do not unplug while this is happening, unless you are in dire need of a paperweight.
Odin tends to seem like it hangs for a short bit toward the end of the flash. Be patient, it will finish and automatically reboot.
Latest one on top.

im on cm10 after all the audio commits etc it seems like the most stable rom other than stock, beats aokp or cm9 right now imho, no data drops etc
So...This is just the new baseband right?
So should be able to flash with custom recovery/rom etc?
this is my first samsung device so not looking for a brick.

I don't have any idea. I have always had HTC phones which are very different.
I have built the habit to check MD5 always, regardless of what it is, just so as to not have something happen where I can't say I did everything I could to prevent it.

tar.md5 files have the md5 appended to the end, and I think Odin checks before flashing. Not 100% sure on that though. Checking it yourself is never a bad idea of course.
This newer modem might of improved data throughput. Not entirely sure though, seems like I'm getting faster speed on Speedtest.net but that could be entirely subjective. Thank you invisiblek as always, for your awesome work!

I rooted my atrix 2, i installed BBM and reboot my mobile and install mokee 4.4.2
after that my atrix 2 is not booting allthough it show Motorola "M" sign and than blank screen .i m not able to recover my mobile using BBM
.i m able to go into android recovery but not know what to do
Good thing I keep this in case I forgot:
If you don't have the original FW for your Atrix 2 anymore, you should download the PROPER ROM for your Atrix 2.
Download the AT&T version here:
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=17
Doesn't matter if GB or ICS. First time you did it is via ICS though. Just make sure it is an AT&T FXZ file, not Retail Asia, Chinese or Indian. AT&T *AT&T*!!!!
Download proper drivers for your phone
Download RSDLite
Follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396650
--or--
Turn off
Remove battery
Make sure you uncompressed the FXZ
Attach battery
Press Vol UP, DOWN and POWER simultaneously
Select AP Fastboot
On RSD Lite:
Select the FXZ file
Connect USB
Start FLASHING!
AND WAIT!
Wait until the "Please power up manually the phone" shows up in RSDLite
Power the phone up
Do not close the RSDLite yet, wait 'til it says FINISHED
Okay?

Well, I have the AT&T version of the Atrix 2 so I should download *ONLY* AT&T ROM.
In your case, it does matter if your phone is AT&T or Asian models. Please download the correct FXZ for your phone.
Good luck! :good:

I really didn't have this kind of error when I was flashing my A2.
Maybe you could try it in a different PC.
I should ask, what ROM version did you download (ICS or GB)? And what model is your phone, AT&T (MB865) or Asian models (ME865)?

If you've already attempted flashing ICS on your AT&T Atrix 2 then DO NOT try to flash GB. It WILL brick your phone, that is, if it hasn't already. There is only one FXZ that you can flash on that phone and that is the AT&T ICS FXZ. Find and download that before trying anything else.

Oh no!
You have flashed Retail Asia (MEARET) version of the FXZ. I really don't know if you will be able to flash anything again after that.
Could you tell if your A2 has AT&T logo below the home keys? If yes, then you SHOULD download and flash ONLY AT&T FXZ.
I suggest flashing the ICS ROM as that is the one that worked for me.
And also, if you're using a PC please use the USB ports in the back panel as much as possible. And keep your battery charged! :good:
Good luck!

Hey, I Googled your problem and it seems that it might be because:
1. RSD Lite does not recognize your phone
2. You don't have the correct drivers for your device.
2. Your USB cable might be faulty
Although, I am not 100% sure if these were the cause of your problems, but it might be...
Edit:
I have experienced your situation just moments ago. My A2 won't get past the mbm flashing.
I think your battery's power is too low for it to accept any flashing. I charged my phone up until 30% and tried flashing again, and voila it got through all of it.
I suggest you charge your phone again with a wall charger (to a wall socket), not on your PC. If it got through the charging screen, you're one lucky guy like me.
***
So, let's narrow up your problem..
1. Have you tried using a different USB cable?
2. Or on a different USB port?
3. Have you installed proper Motorola Drivers?
4. Have you got any message from Fastboot that your "Battery is too low"
I recommend downloading this file: http://www.mediafire.com/download/51gmzrtjx4vrmed/Tools.rar
The zip file have the Motorola drivers, RSD Lite, ICS Root and Boot Menu Manager.
Credits to arnab.
***
Install first the Motorola drivers before you flash again.
Good luck!

Here is much faster alternative to the current Odin Tar that is hanging around. Not to diss anyone but putting an important file on a server that makes you pay for high speed access is LAME. This took over 3 hours to download from that server...
This takes you back to: G920VVRU1AOC3, Wipes everything! Like a new phone
Here it is on AFH.com
Fast for every one!
ALL_VZW_G920VVRU1AOC3_G920VVZW1AOC3_CL4318389_QB4424773_REV02_user_low_ship.zip
Latest Odin for this file....
How to use!
Load Samsung Mobile Drivers
Connect Phone while in download mode (Hold Power, Home and Volume down to get there)
Unzip Odin to desktop
Unzip Odin Tar from post #1 to desktop
Open Odin
Select AP and load Odin Tar
Wait a few seconds (depending on PC Speed)
Hit Start then wait until its done.
Do NOT touch the phone while this is in process!
When completed phone will reboot to recovery, do some "stuff" then boot up fresh like out of the box new!

Having trouble ladies and gents. Hoping for help.
I am soft-bricked ATM.
I was running fine, rooted, and have paid for Flashfire.
I downloaded our friend scrosler's flashable rom with root and I somehow soft-bricked my phone on the first try.
So....I downloaded Odin and the stock rom from this thread, even got the latest drivers just to be sure.
no matter what I do, Odin reports: "complete ( Write) operation failed." and "all threads completed, (succeed 0, failed 1)"
Have tried it multiple times, even switched to S6 factory USB cord and moved around to different prts on my system, all are motherboard driven USB ports.
Any ideas?
Cant get MD5's to match. Have downloaded multiple times, have tried multiple programs to unzip....no luck.
Never mind...was checking MD5 against unzipped file. Zipped MD5 is correct.
Going to try Odin again.
Nope.....Odin still fails.
Would love some ideas of what to try next.

PS: Why didint you ask the same question in this thread: [Root/Guide] How-to Root (Simplified)
Never had Kies on this machine. In download mode (press and hold down-vol and button at bottom of face of phone, and power).
Screen is light blue and says "Downloading..." with a big down arrow. Of course, Odin doesn't see the phone until I hit vol-up button.....and I am doing that. Factory cable. Have tried it in multiple motherboard ports....not an add-on card. I have used Odin on my S4 from this machine without problems.
Any other ideas? Thanks for trying to help me.

Upload it to android file host if you have dev status but if not you can upload it to google drive or any other hosting site.
EDIT: If you can get it uploaded somewhere, I'm sure @muniz_ri wouldn't mind looking at it and since it sounds like it prevents downgrading, we may be able to make a ROM out of it using the OD5 bootloader like what was done with the VZW S4 Lollipop update.
No not a dev, uploaded it to a free service http://www.fileconvoy.com/dfl.php?id=g71d4dc928ae33b36999687091905b660934562bab don't know why eset said it was unsafe, it downloaded fine when i allowed it. so just allow its fine.

I personally have a Dev. Ed. S5, so I don't mind, as long as I don't flash the bootloader (aboot.mbn), so I am still interested in this.
It's been confirmed by muniz_ri that the qfuse counter was updated. If you update to OE1, there's no going back.
Guess i don't care about going back as long as i can have root and tether. I deleted the file from cache just have to get rid of this nagging install update message.
@Dudash
Here is the G900V_OE1_Stock_Rooted_ROM for testing.
For safety reasons it does not include any bootloader, however I expect that it will require the G900V_OD5_Bootloader in order to run.
Warning! Do not flash if you have taken the OE1 ota update and kept root. The ROM may work but there currently is no proven unbrick method, until the OE1 full .tar is available, in case something goes wrong.
Once the OE1 .tar is available we can try repackaging the NCG .tar without the bootloader as a way to downgrade/unbrick and re-root.

Sorry it's taken so long to reply. I was at a party when I replied and downloaded the ROMs and didn't want to test them without having my computer in case of an Odin emergency. lol.
I'll be testing them shortly.

I tried Odexed only, I'm not necessarily interested in deodexed until Xposed is more stable in Lollipop and TW. I also modified your script to avoid wiping. All good

I see that you say "if you've taken the ota and kept root" does that mean that you will retain root or is it hit or miss? any reports either way? also, have you done ay tweaks to this? enabled tether or anything besides deodexing? Thanks

After reviewing the ota zip I have confirmed that it checks for stock /bin/ddexe which is modified when a device is rooted, therefore the official OC4-to-OE1 ota will fail on all rooted devices. I have not seen an OD5-to-OE1 ota update.zip in order to review.

Guess i don't care about going back as long as i can have root and tether. I deleted the file from cache just have to get rid of this nagging install update message.

Confirming, if I'm not rooted, there's no way to disable the annoying update nag? I'm on BOC4 and I can't use the phone without the stupid msg popping up!
I'm a bit of a noob, so apologies if this question has an obvious answer:
Does any of this thread mean there's now a way to downgrade or root a non-rooted OE1?

SU4TL-49 Stock Image for XT1254: https://mega.nz/#!TwYShBCb!OFxwiUnUO2MiOHEVc8XluNP1uPSf5tTBaVdmyZ-mwSA
This package will flash every image in the SU4TL-49 firmware package except for recovery. It should bring your phone to almost 100% stock. The only image that is not included is the recovery image, because that would overwrite TWRP. If you need the stock recovery, download this: https://mega.nz/#!LwhxyCaZ!NZVi3pA77t7Qlxm1gFQr340SHurOAJEhDQsiR8QFbMc. Install it using the Install Image option in TWRP.
Yes, it does include modems.
No, it will not re-lock your bootloader.
No, it won't erase your data, but you should do a factory reset in TWRP after flashing this. You might be able to get away without it if you're coming from a modified stock rom, but if you leave out the factory reset after coming from a CM-based rom, you're gonna have a bad time.
Deodexed version here for those who may want it: https://mega.nz/#!zxAEHJjS!hqNDjOGJoE3eI3rwL48h45Lovj764quxFsWP9IsN_Z4
If you need the full, non-TWRP version, here it is: https://mega.nz/#!ao4zmQQB!T2VClxKcTb-ePAhHotvlSR3NCxG0tRY1YEhMtti_H3k
If you get errors while flashing this, try using TWRP Mod 3 instead of Mod 4.
Used this today. Was coming from CM 13. Only notes I had are:
1. Make sure you use the Wipe from the main menu of TWRP and not just the available wipe after you install.
a. Caused my phone to boot but go black after this first half of the boot animation.
2. It asks to uninstall some Motorola services and that will persist. Not sure why but, I did uninstall them.
Overall, it works very well (only up and running 2.5 hours now so I'll have to wait and see if anything happens over the next day or so)
Thanks for this package and all your work...
Nice! Thanks a lot!

1. Yeah, that's kind of what I meant by the last sentence of the OP.
2. That always happens whenever you go from CM to stock. It's harmless.
So when I try to install this, it keeps coming back to me saying no OS is installed. I'm using twrp and have followed the instructions. Should I redownload the zip?

the answers to "one more thing":
1) yes, if you flash stock recovery it will take TWRP off. 2) it will not relock your bootloader.
edit: ****** 3) it will *not* take away all traces you have modded/hacked/rooted
Stock.
NEXT DAY EDIT: i just restored pretty much stock 5.1 su-44. after all the uninstall crud there, i booted to twrp, and flashed this. all went perfectly. Thank you @TheSt33v !!!

No luck with de-odexed version
De-odexed version seems to be causing Google Drive to fake load randomly. It'll be doing something, see it flash to Drive at the top with a blank page, then it goes back to what it was before. Was coming from a CM rom, but did do a factory reset via TWRP after installing the rom. Currently trying the non de-odexed version, just waiting for the install to finish.
yeah, i can confirm. same issue. the fix was wiping data for the app via TiBup. i use a transparent google drive, though, and had presumed it was just me.

Weird. I forget, is Drive a system app in the stock rom? If so, maybe try removing it altogether with TiBu and reinstalling it from the play store?
It might be. The non de-odexed version is having no issues on my phone. Thanks for the idea just in case.
Hi, is this include the new .49 bootloader and radio package? or should I install it manually after flashing this rom?
Is anyone having issues with the play store crashing everything you start it up? I flashed the de-odexed and non-de-odexed but play store keeps crashing every time. Any ideas?

It's included
I've got a Galaxy S5 that I purchased from someone earlier today and it worked well until I did some type of software update, it went well but then restarted and it's been messed up since. Now, whenever I boot up the phone it boots fine all the way too the Sprint Spark screen and it just hangs, and hangs and then restarts again, and goes through the same process. I've tried reflashing the device using Odin but I keep getting an error "SW REV CHECK FAIL" with some other stuff. I've tired to do so much, I tried resetting the device and the cache using the options. Please, can someone offer me some help. It's a 900P and it's a Sprint device. I just got back from a funeral a little bit ago so I'd love to get this thing working finally, I've been working on it all night.
Can you check the model number under the battery?
I think Sm-g900m is the South America version, and Sm-g900p should be the North America sprint version.

Ok, good The "SW REV CHECK FAIL" is probably caused by secure bootloader which won't allow downgrade.
Have you tried to flash the latest firmware?

It goes fine all the way till the system.img.ext4 part and it just sits there. I tried letting it sit last night for 4+ hours on a different firmware and it just sat there. Any thoughts?
EDIT: So, I reflashed it, it was successful but my device still hangs at the Sprint screen..

Hmm, I have no idea why it won't boot properly. This "stuck on bootlogo" seems to be a common problem on todays samsung models.
Have you tried factory reset in recovery after flash?
Only other thing I can think of is if some other partition got messed up during the software update.
Maybe can be fixed with a 4-file "repair firmware" with BL/AP/CP/CSC-parts. I'll see if I can find one.

Sorry, I don't. Maybe it's better if you ask for more help in S5 forum on how to go on with this, as I don't own this device myself. I will probably find that thread if you do, and be able to help futher if needed
Otherwise there's plenty of tutorials on how to flash 4-files with odin.
I did find one and uploaded it to mega in case you want to grab it. G900PVPS3CQB3_CSC_SPT_CL10090296_QB12576102_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.zip
I've used those kind of firmwares on various devices for all kind of problems where official firmware wasn't enough to fix it, and it always worked without problems.

First make sure your battery is well charged (we don't want it to die during flash)
Just put the files in their boxes in odin, connect your phone in download mode and flash.
Hopefully it will now boot past that bootlogo. If not...there must be some hardware problem.

It just sits there? No errors? Maybe you should try a different version of odin, like Odin 3.09
You could also try another usb port and/or different cable. Those are the most common problems when flash won't start.

Yeah you can do that too. Another thing you've reminded me of now when talking about smart switch...Go to your task manager on pc and make sure that no smart switch or kies is running in background before open odin. It may interfere with odin connection.
I remember it was a common problem with kies/odin.
