Quick Clock is what the Android Clock should have been. It adds in the much needed Timer and StopWatch functionality along with plenty of options to go with them.
For the timer the following options are available:
-Show a notification of how long is left in the notification bar
-Play a ringtone until the timer is cleared, or just once
-Vibrate until the timer is cleared, or for a set time
-Use custom ringtones
-Obey your phones silent mode
-Quickly set-up predefined times
-Quickly access recently used times
-See time left on the status bar, without even opening the notification drawer
-Set Alarm Volume
-LED Notifications with color picker
Stopwatch functions include:
-Ringing or vibrating after every minute (adjustable)
-Keeping track of laps
-Setting a timer equals to the length of the lap
-Setting a timer equal to the total time
Alarm Functionality includes:
-LED Notifications
-Snooze Functionality
-Standard Alarm Options
-Ability to slowly increase the volume when an alarm goes off (Either over time, or each time snooze is hit)
Planned features
-World Clock page (still trying to think of how to do this without an online database. I'll have to see if android provides timezone information).
Demo Limitations:
-Only 1 alarm is allowed
-Stopwatch/timer is limited to 15minutes

nice. I recently posted a request for an alarm clock with certain features: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1736987
only one of those is missing in this app, maybe you could have a look at that? would be really appreciated:
"- increasing ring after snooze (as in the first time the alarm goes of it starts at 10%. Then I snooze it and when it goes of the next time it starts at 30%, making me wake up faster. And so on for the next alarms after snoozing)"
of course standard features like increasing ring, set snooze time, .. need to be added as well
Nice. Will try it

I was planning something similar to this as an option but thanks for the idea, I'll look into adding it within the coming week. (Mine was over a minute or so to raise the volume from 1% to 100%)
what you describe is the "normal" increasing ring that increases every x seconds. it's pretty much a standard feature in every alarm app. what I'm requesting goes beyond that, hope you'll have a chance to do it

Yeah I'll make it an option, it should be easy to implement. I'll probably update the app monday/tuesday and if it's not in that one it should be included by friday.

Are you sick of twirling a dial or pressing an up/down selector 30 times to set a simple timer? Then this is the timer app for you!
I wrote this free app for power users who want a fast UI. Just key in the timer delay in minutes and hit "Add" button and the timer will begin.
I'd be interested in getting feedback as XDA readers tend to be power users and I'm interested to see what features you all would like to see.
Features:
- Ergonomic timer entry
- Does not acquire wake-locks and so will not drain your battery unlike other timers
- Uses system alarm manager and robustly stores alarms so that the alarm doesn't fail when the app is closed
- Less aggressive/annoying timer sound (rooster loops every few seconds instead of without delay)
- Less aggressive/annoying vibrate settings (as above)

sweet and simple
Very nice work.
1 suggestion.
Often when cooking we you have 3 or 4 things to put on at different times.
Could you add different items separately with their own time:
i.e.
item 1 - pie t-45
item 2 - chips t-25
item 3 - peas t-10
Click start and 45 minutes starts counting down, as set by the longest time, or just enter longest first. 20 mins in "chips" notification goes off and then peas 35 mins later. That way dinner is all synchronised!
Nice concept and a great start.
It really needs the ability to time seconds (full minutes only in the current version) and multiple timers (I typically have two or three running when I cook).
As a suggestion as to how to position yourself with your customers, I'm completely put off though by an app that is still not feature complete (no preferences, as a quick find), is hopelessly crippled in the free version (60-minute limit), and has ads to add insult to injury.
I agree with the comments above. A great start, but needs to display and time by seconds, and needs to have at least 3 timers running consecutively.
Suggestion: web link to all your apps https://market.android.com/search?q=droidgram&so=1&c=apps&rdid=com.droidgram.timer&rdot=1?
Thanks for the initial feedback. Multiple timers is one of the key planned features and I hope to have this pushed out soon!
Nice start, I like the easy way to enter the time.
One suggestion: add repeating times. There are some situations where you need the possibility that a certain about of time must be repeated n times. I only know one timer (Yata! http://market.android.com/details?id=com.pelletiere.android.reallysimpletimer) who can almost do that (it's just possible to repeat over and over but not to define something like: countdown 05'30" six times, play sound after each cycle, than stop).
Would be nice if you can do that.
Cheers, Klausi

The app webpage gives details on the permission usage: http://droidgram.com/forum/Timer
Basically, it needs vibrate to make the phone vibrate on alarm. Internet and coarse location is required to serve up AdMob adverts and also is used for analytics to track errors etc.

Thanks for the feedback. It's a bit of a tough question regarding some things e.g. release with preferences not complete.
In the end, I wanted to indicate that this is coming, but didn't want to delay the release by doing all these features up front. This way, I can get feedback on what features are important. A bit of a trade-off, I know, but as an independent programmer, I have limited time and resources so can only do the best I can as a single developer.
Updated now, the free version now has a limit of 180 minutes, which should hopefully make it more useful.
Updated to restore notification on reboot of device.
I think the app now is rock solid stable, so now I will work on additional features:
- Choice of alarm tone
- Multiple timers
At the moment, if you install both the free and pro version, you can use them together to get 2 timers at the same time.
v2.01 released
New version released. Key new features:
Add 'Seconds Mode' to allow timers to be set also in seconds
Custom alarm ringtone (by popular request)
Show alarm time in notification bar when timer is set.
Future features scheduled:
Multiple timers
App is available for free with a donate option. Please donate to support further development and additional features.
v2.1 released
3 new features for better ergonomics
http://droidgram.com/forum/Timer
- Add short timer mode
- Add tens of seconds first option
- Add tap to toggle mode feature
TimeBoss 2.0
An easy to use timer application that lets you set multiple timers.
TimeBoss has several nice and unique features:
- Set unlimited (simultaneous) timers
- Save sets of timers for your tasks (e.g. 1 for workout and 1 for cooking)
- Custom settings per timer (ringtone, vibration, colours, behavior)
- Dirty hands? Wave to stop the alarm
- Full background operation (also when app is killed)
- Widget that shows the lowest alarm
- Timers can trigger the next/prev/first timer to create a (workout) schedule
- And more...

Thanks man! Let me know what you think about it
Had some great suggestions on my first version here from XDA (http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-time-boss-set-multiple-timers-t2881764). Took me some time, but put in all suggestions that were given to me and I do believe that the end result was a lot better thanks to this forum (nice if we can help each other out a little...).
So your input is not only greatly appreciated, but there is a big chance it will end up in the app!

Thanks for your continued support! (I know you also tried out my first version, so thanks a lot!!) :good: :highfive:
Just installed the new version. There are a lot of improvements in it that I really like.
However, for me the 'stopwatch' style of the first version was more practical. Is there any way you could include that in the new version also?
Thanks.

This same layout is available in version 2 (the new version) also!
Just open TimeBoss and press the 'menu button' (your phone's menu button or the on-screen button in the top-right of your screen) and select 'settings'. The 3rd item in settings is 'Timer layout'. Here, you can select:
1. Icon only (this is the default layout for the new version)
2. Timer only (this is the original layout, which you would like to use)
3. Icon and Timer (shows both. However, the timer does not show milliseconds in this layout)
Hope this answers your question. And thanks for your support! :good:
Hey,
I developed this app because I'm really an expert in forgetting stuff. I need notifications, that remind me. I know there are some of such apps in the Play Store but there are always some features missing, I'd like to have. With this app you can create Android notifications with title, description, icon, color, ...
Notify me
Here are all the features:
Set title and description of notification
Numerous settings to individualize the notification (Icon, Color, Alarm, App,...)
Daily or weekly repeating alarm
Light and Dark Theme
Numerous Action Buttons for the notification
Material Design
Share notifications
Heads-Up notifications (Android >= 21)
Notifications will be displayed on your Android Wear Smartwatch
Totally free and ad-free
Frequent app improvements based on your feedback
A screenshot of two notifications and how to create a notification

Where is the link man, at least provide the link as a text, when I search for the name, there seems to be a lot of apps like this.
Edit: It took me near to 10 minutes to find the app, I went through a number of notify apps, the app customization is what forced me to look into this.
Thanks anyway.
Oh damn I'm so sorry. Added the link.

If you tried this app with Android 4.1.x and you uninstalled it because it crashed, I would be very happy if you try it out now again. There was a bug only existing for Android 4.1.x, which I did not recognized before.
I released an update because the alarm setting got used way more than expected. It is now possible to set an interval. That means if you want the notification to appear every second monday you can set the first alarm, choose "repeat daily" and instead of "every" you select "Every 14". Furthermore it is now possible to repeat the notification monthly. And if you have a greek phone you can now use this app in your language, too.
Version 1.0.16: - Advanced alarm settings (repeat monthly, intervals)
- Greek added
With the new update it is now possible to change the sound of a notification. You can set it individually for every notification or set the default in the settings.
Version 1.1.2: - You can now change the sound of a notification
Your app is very usefull. I use the notification panel a lot and I can always see my note with this application. It also has everything you need. Thank you.
Thank you! Yes that was the reason why I developed this app. I need to remember a lot of things and ToDo-Lists aren't good enough for me. I always forget to look at them.
So, due to firebase phone may not sleep affecting battery life:
Code:
- Prevent phone from sleeping: Used by Firebase Crash Tool
- Full Internet access: Used by Firebase Crash Reporting Tool
- View Network status / WiFi state: Used by Firebase Crash Reporting Tool
You are right. I never thought about that, thank you! I just removed this permission. I'll test it a bit, if everything still works (it seems so). Then I'll release the update in the next hours/days.
Thanks again for your hint m0d. I've released the update now. The WAKE_LOCK permission is not there anymore and everything still works as expected. Furthermore I changed the icon for the "permanent notification" because it looked weird on some Samsung devices.
Version 1.1.5: - Removed unnecessary permission
- changed icon in status bar
After changig the sound and the color it is now possible to change the LED color (if you have Android >= Lollipop and your device supports changing the LED color). You can decide if the LED should have the same color as the notification.
Version 1.2.5: - You can now choose in the settings, if the LED should have the same color as the background color (only for Android >= Lollipop and not every device supports this setting)
I know the color picker is not the best. I'll try to improve it in one of the next updates.
For all spanish people here. You can now use your app in your language. If you find a wrong translation you can send me an email or fix it on GitHub: https://github.com/Lars3n95/Notify-me
Or if you can speak a language fluently which is not yet existing on GitHub you can add a translation too.
Version 1.2.8: - Added spanish translation
The new color picker is available now. And you can change the snooze duration via keyboard now.
Version 1.2.14: - New color picker
- Snooze duration can now be entered as text (settings) Version
Got some new updates for you:
Version 1.2.19: - You can choose in the settings if you want to see your notifications immediately after creation, before the set alarm
Version 1.2.16: - Removed notifications are ordered differently now. Recently deleted notifications are on top
- Dialog if you want to remove all notifications
I don't know why they still don't add this option in their app. Anyone have any recommendations for an alarm app with such a feature?
It's in the stock app, I use it every morning. You can toggle it on or off in each alarm you set up, make sure it's on.
Never seen or used a Samsung phone without a snooze function, going all the way back to the SGS. Not sure what you're (not) looking at??
If the stock app is not working well for you, you can change the default alarm app on the S8/S8+ (or any other Android phone that has a manufacturer's clock app pre-installed) as follows.
It's just slightly convoluted, but once you do, then you can seamlessly use the Google Assistant to set your alarms and timers with the standard Google Clock app instead of the stock Samsung Clock app which won't let you change any of its defaults, and has some really annoying features (like Bixby Briefing that is the default "sound" unless you change it manually every time you set up an alarm):
1) Download and install the Google Clock App
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.deskclock
2) Load up Google Now (not Google Assistant - the older version of Google Now that shows you news, weather, etc cards, along with the old standard Google search bar at the top that has a microphone icon on the right)
3) Launch the Google Now Voice Command with the blue microphone icon at the right of the search bar at the top of the Google Now page
4) Tell the Now assistant to "Set Alarm for 1 Minute From Now"
5) When it starts telling you that it is setting the alarm, you have about 1-2 seconds of time to tap the 3-dots at the top right and select the blue icon for the standard Google Clock app that you installed in step 1 as the default clock app. If you miss it, rinse and repeat until you get it.
That's it, from now on, both Google Now and the newer Google Assistant that you can launch from your home screen with "Ok Google" will set alarms with the Google Clock and not use the pre-installed Samsung (or LG, or Sony, etc) clock.
And I know for sure that the Google Clock has a working snooze mode.
As an added bonus, now you can also change the default alarm sound by using ES File Explorer to set a new sound file to the default.
Cheers -TRJB

wait.. what means auto snooze? and what exactly means "snooze when it goes off" ?
when alarm fire up, you got snooze button, and dismiss.. snooze button does what you set to do, for time you set

You can always disable the factory clock with the package disabler of your choice and install google's clock too.

Hello all. Back with a new app called System MonCon after a long time. It's the beginning of the app and will grow further with your support and suggestions.
It's not that I have created a great thing. Only trying to bring small, simple and often quick info required kind of things at one place.
A combination of noticeable 3 things:
Check real-time battery temperature, screen time, and internet speed. Track subscription data consumed for the given time. Control and save yourself from digital addiction with over use indicators.
Navigation bar alternative with many features. One assistive floating button with many controls. Gain more screen area by disabling default navigation bar.
Automatic wallpaper changer with custom directory selection, and configurable time to change. Configure it and the automatic wallpaper changer will keep it doing for you.
Full charge battery alarm to protect from over charging, also has configurable voice indicators for low charging and max charge.
Seeking your support to test functionality on many verities of devices. Once the core feels stable in verity of devices, I will plan for more feature additions.
Check some screenshots for a quick glance:
