Dead trigger not compatible? - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it only me or does dead trigger comes up as not available for anyone else running Team EOS JB?
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2

Haven't tried JB yet, but I installed it from Google Play on EOS 2.0 the other day. Runs pretty nice (even with high settings) OC'ed to 1.6Ghz, but runs much better on my Bionic.

I'm running it on umts_everest ROM, and on wingray ROM as well... With the settings on Ultra High, man amazing graphics!
PS.: No OC

[Q]Rogue CM9 vs TeamEos ICS

Has anyone compared the performance between these two ROMS? If you have, what kind of performance/interface tweaks are different between the two?

I suggest flashing each and see which one you like. They may run different on your Xoom.
I ran TeamEOS's ICS until yesterday and am now running the CM9 rom. I honestly can't see a difference with regards to performance issues. Will hang on to CM9 for now, but if TeamEOS come up with something spectacular I'm going back to their ICS nightlies. So far the only difference I've noticed is face recognition unlock not working in CM9.
the rogue kernel was slightly faster, but all of the eos features can not be beat right now.
I found both to run with the same smoothness.
I thank all the developers from all the teams for their hard work.
I tried both. Eos has more features, but CM9 is faster.
Quadrant benchmark without overcloking:
Eos: 2303
CM9: 3174
My experience:
TeamEOS nightly is smoother, CM9 (1-15) has CIFS working. (the reason I switched, but will go back to TeamEOS once they got CIFS working).

ICS vs JB Benchmarks?

Has anyone seen a significant increase in 3D performance when going from Official ICS to one of the JB ROMs that are available?
Well i have no lag when playing dead trigger on high setting without an overclock on JB. where as ICS was a bit laggy even with an overclock.
Which jb are you using? Keen to try but not sure which to start with!

PACman All In One or CM10:HYBRID Paranoid Android??

Hi I am kind of new to the ROMs so I was wondering if anyone could tell me which ROM is more stable, fast, and has no lag.
The PACman All In One or CM10:HYBRID Paranoid Android?
Please leave replies, thank you!
That are both based off of CM10, so they should both be pretty stable, instability usually comes from over clocking and or under volting, in my experience anyway. I am running PACman myself.

1. Q&A forum
2. Test for yourself.

They are both equally stable in my opinion. PACman no longer have the paprefs.apk built in, so you will have to push it yourself if it's something you want to utilize. I am currently running the latest version of PACman by gs2usr, but I switch between the two from time to time.

I too am running gs2user's pac build. I've never ran a rom like this before or knew about paperf but not that I've learned how to use it, but it's a sick rom. I got pac flashed on my girls phone as well. In general I've noticed a bump in performance and I believe that the battery life is on par with both the collective release and blinkys revenge release.

I've been using pac for a while and it has great battery life. Better than cm10 with same settings. I have tried pa yet, but its on my list to try.

Cuz I hate that UI so I switched back ics, plz let me know how jb is better than ics for tablet

After it is debloated it runs very smoth and quick, all my apps run fine.
It's much, much better than ICS with 10.1 model.
Nearly 3000 on Quadrant
No more hiccup when playing Final Fantasy III
XBMC is much more workable now.
However, the battery performance is not evaluated yet.
I prefer the bottom notification window of ICS, but Jelly Bean is faster and smoother. My stock, unrooted P3110 gets 3239 in Quadrant. Which is good, I guess. I didn't do any tests with ICS, but this video on youtube shows the stock ICS getting 2521: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jo2_HIR0cEw
After reading alot of 7" users comments i find myself glad they left the 10.1 alone mostly. That being said I haven't noticed a difference in apps or battery over ics cept one game that broke

What is the absolute smoothest fastest rom available for the xoom?

I ask this because my xoom is gathering dust in my cupboard and I have no use for it now that I have an HTC One, I am used the the responsiveness and 'fastness' of the phone and that was one of the reasons I stopped using the xoom; the lag
Every rom I used be it EOS or CM10.1 always lagged even when the xoom was overclocked.
If I can find a nice smooth rom I might start using the xoom again :victory: :victory:

EOS4
Interested too. Eos 4 was slow.

I'm willing to downgrade to whatever version of android necessary to regain speed and reliability. What would that be?

I find CM 10.1 to be very stable and smooth for me. Very rarely do I have slowdowns. I also OC'ed the CPU. Try loading Elemental's kernel if you load CM 10.1. It did not work well for me, but those that it does work for say it makes the ROM much better.

From my experience the smoothest is CM10 (Cyanogenmod 4.1.2) : the smoothest and the faster I tried.
I only found 1 problem with this ROM : the default Android webbrowser crashes sometimes.
For now, I don't want any other android release on my Xoom as my priority is smoothness ...
As Kitkat should be even smoother, I hope to see this release on the Xoom, but I don't dream a lot !
Ok, thanks for the help guys. I'll check out CM10
