Please can someone help with this.
A few months ago I installed onto my Desire S, RUU_Saga_HTC_Europe_1.47.401.4_Radio_20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03_M_release_199410_signed, and OTA_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.81.47.401.4 from files on the net.
Everything ok till today, suddenly the earpiece speaker does not work, I can't hear anything (even with high volume). But if I turn the speaker on, I can hear ok.
Any ideas please.
I assume that u are not able to hear from either from calls and musics.
Have u tried a factory reset to see if it helps?
I seem to have the same problem too that seems to of started during the night/morning.
Factory reset it not help

I am running asergs' aku3.3.12 for some time and I was very happy. Yesterday something very strange must have happened. I can make calls normally and I hear everything very good, but I don't have any other sound any more, meaning I don't hear my phone incoming ring, I don't have sound with windows media or any other app. When I go to sound and notifications (settungs), all sounds are still there, but I can't hear them.
I can hear sounds with the earphones, not loud, but I can hear them!
Does anyone know this problem or have a solution? Thx in advance.
I think it's the hardware problem, you can hear the sound when connect with earphone, right?
I met this problem before and it's because the connector in prophet still think the earphone is connected although it's not actually.
I don't if I understand your problem exactly but this is my understanding, and try to send it back to prophet service department to repair it.

Hi,
I have the same problem. Just after installing version 12, I got this issue. I couldn't believe it was a hardware problem but, If I press at the back of the phone it starts working so now, without any doubt, I'm taking the qtek back to the shop where I bought it and see what they can do. I'll try to avoid the manual fix (replacing the speaker).

Encinas.
Hi anyone and all,
My XDA II all of a sudden developed a problem in that although I can dial and hear people I had called, they can not hear me. I have toggled the mute button, performed a soft and hard reset and even installed the latest upgrade in an effort to resolve, but no joy.
Does anyone have any ideas on how i can fix my beloved XDAII?
have you tried
1. to use normal record to check if the mic is working?
2. cleaned the mic
phone can only hear callers
Yes, i have tired the record function, that works fine, sorry should have mentioned that earlier, i wonder if it is a component transmitter problem!
Urgent help is needed with my TP.
I recently noticed i had to shout louder and louder to be heard during a call but now the phones internal mic doesnt register any sound at all. This problem seems to have ocurred after flashing to Cracings latest Rom (I've been succesfully flashing various roms since I got the fone 18months ago)
Obviously i flashed back to the phones original Vodafone rom & radio but this didnt make a difference and im now stuck with a phone that i cannot make any calls with.
Interestingly if i use the wired handsfree kit that came with the phone the sound quality in calls is perfect so ive ruled out a radio issue. Similarly if i run the voice recorder that comes installed with the Vodafone Rom i can only record sound with the wired headset not the fones mic.
One final point after flashing the stock rom i noticed in Total Commander that there was three different Audiopara3 files in the Windows folder. Thinking it would solve the issue i did another hard reset which seemed to delete these files leaving me with just the "Audiopara4Voda" file - unfortunately i still have the dead mic problem and im desperate to find a solution.
Any help is greatly appreciated
anybody?
can i be the only one whose mic has stopped working for no apparent reason???
Hi all,
I am from Australia and got a sony z3 the weekend and so far it has been great but I am having an issue when talking to people over viber/skype. When using video chat or loud speaker the other person can hear themselves back quit loudly like it is an echo. Even if i put the headphones in on my phone they can still hear themselves back but it isn't as loud.
If I switch to my old samsung s3 it has no problems I am using the same wifi etc same location and calling the same people.
There doesn't seem to be much of a issue when calling normal and using the loud speaker. Just with apps like viber/skype.
Does anyone else have this issue at all? Or can anyone test video/using loud speaker on Viber and letting me know if they have the same issue or is my phone possibly faulty?
Thanks Matt
Try a reboot.
Or try another app. It's possible Viber/Skype doesn't use noise cancellation. You could always use a headset or BT speaker (set it further away from the phone). If that all fails, there's a Mic Sensitivity setting under Settings -> Sound -> Audio Settings.
Thanks for the reply,
I have tried rebooting and it didnt help. I have also tried using headphones and while it made it a bit quieter they still had the same problem.
I will have a go at messing with the sound settings, thanks.
I think i am just going to take it back and see if it is just my phone with the issue or all z3's
Is anyone able to test on the z3 and video call someone on viber and let me know if they have the same issue?
Thanks,
Matt

So i had the L preview on my Nexus 5 previously, no root or anything. Then on friday I flashed the factory lollipop using Nexus Root Toolkit. Everything has been fine except making calls.
When i get a phone call it rings i answer but cannot hear anything - unless i press the loudspeaker button then i can hear the other person and they can hear me. and the same when i make a call too - i cannot even hear the dialing tone normally.
I flashed again today to try and fix this and then reset to factory defaults. Didn't get any errors on flash. still no sound or mic on calls unless i turn on loudspeaker.
Does anyone know what could be causing this and if theres a fix for it?
Thanks for any help you can give.
Is there a way of verifying if it's a hardware issue?

i guess i could flash kitkat again? but the thing is that switching it to speaker allows my mic to work also. so its a software thing i think. Not sure how to test the earpiece speaker however.
i solved this problem, it was a stupid thing i had in my headphone jack called pressy.
