Filters are search patterns you can define to perform a specific action on feed items.
Let's say you don't want to read any news containing "CentOS updates" (or "Apple IOS" ) in it's title. So you define a filter which can be applied to a specific feed or label and you set it's action to mark an item as "read" when any of new feed items contain that search phrase in it' title (and/or context).
Another option is to set action to 'watched'. In this case the item with the search phrase will be placed in "Watched" folder (label) and color coded.
Action "watched and notify" also shows notification when matching items arrive.
New version is online!

Looks really good!
Like: filters, configurability
Dislike: all these share icons - should be configurable (e.g., no point in having a G+ button or a Twitter button if I don't use them...)
P.S.
I found a typo in the about dialog (infromation->information).

Whoa, you're quick
More suggestions:
1) Reading Engadget's feed in the eye-with-list mode, the photos are too wide for the screen.
Can they be auto-scaled like in the just-eye mode?
(My problem with the just-eye mode is that it only shows part of the text)
2) The star icon should IMHO be in the same line with the other icons.
3) The icons are beautiful and effective --- once you know what they stand for.
I suggest you add a help button (that can be configured not to show, once you get the hang of it), that will call upon a quick tutorial (e.g., a screenshot of the interface with individual button explanations).

The eye in the circle is a text (simple) only preview, which also includes an image from the feed. The eye with a list is a 'web' or 'original' view mode, that is original feed content in a webview. I can change the original one, but I think it would be even better to modify text preview. Right now i have limited it to displaying only the first 5 lines of a feed item, but that thing will also be configurable.
Regarding the star, you are also right, will add an option to move it to the item's quick action menu (buttons) or keep it where it is now.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atz-GnEDevk is a quick introduction to using the app
Thank you a lot for your feedback!
Some more ideas and comments (tell me if you're fed up with feedback, I'll understand...)
- only after watching the video I could get some of the buttons (e.g., mark previous as read). But the video is almost 10 minutes long, and people don't have much patience for it. A quick what-buttons-do is imperative, IMHO.
- some buttons have a wide, irreversible effect (e.g., mark all/previous as read). An undo button could prove useful. Or perhaps a confirmation dialog?
- since I tend to read feeds with many small items, the most important button for me is "mark single item as read". The button is rather small, so I can only hit it 80% of the time; in the other 20%, I change the preview mode. Maybe there should be an easier way to mark individual items as read, for instance make it possible to choose which button precedes the item title (where the star currently is), so people like me could put the mark-as-read button there.
- when switching orientation (portrait <-> landscape), it closes the current item and resets the preview mode (to text). Usually the reason for me to rotate the phone is to get more width for a specific item that needs it (e.g., has an html table), so please make it remember
- would it be possible to choose whether text/web preview is the default? I always use web preview
- jreader's icon keeps swinging in the notification bar for hours. Does it mean it's working? completed?
- in the filters activity, I think it's better to have similar icons for backup and restore; maybe a diskette with in/out arrow?
- in the add/edit filter activity, I think it'd be more clear to have some other UI element instead of a checkbox to choose between "title only" and "title and contents", perhaps a push button; also, what does the crosshair button do?
- in the movie it seems to work, but on my device I cannot chose to which label/feed a filter is applied. I only have "any feed" / "any label" in the drop-down boxes.
Thanks again!
Feels great...thanks

FeedEx News Reader is a light, modern, totally free (no ads) and opensource project which keeps you inform by fetching your websites/blogs and displaying them in a mobile-optimized way. It is based on the "Sparse rss" reader and is able to read RSS/Atom feeds.
It DO NOT synchronizes with any online feed reader, but do you really need feeds synchronization now you always have your phone with you?
Features:
- easily add new feeds thanks to the finders or subscribe to a new one from the browser via the share feature
- offline reading including images
- import/export the feed list from OPML
- retrieve the full text of the feed when the content is truncated
- star your favorite entries
- filter your feed by keywords or regular expressions
- custom widget
Feedly users: you can export your feeds to OPML at this address (cloud.feedly.com/#opml) and then import them into FeedEx News Reader.
Any help would be very appreciated!

Thanks for your work.
Thanks, I like this
I like the modern design and the dark theme.
A request ... In the widgets, it would be good if the user could choose the number of lines to display per item of news. To clarify, I'd like to see the main news item in bold at a user defined size along with maybe a line or two (as opted by me) of the news details. The headline alone does not allow me to understand if the item is worth opening. To get an idea of the look of the widget I intend, look at Scrollable news widget
Another thing is ... to keep in line with the latest Gmail, remove the refresh button and let the user pull down to refresh.
Cheers
Hi!
Sorry for the late answer, with the holidays I forgot it
Concerning the widget, I agree there is lot of improvements to do. This is not my priority because I would like to add some features to the application before (search, tablet support), but I'll do it and make FeedEx News Reader better and better, I just need time
Great app, thank you for this. I give you five stars in Play Store. Finally i can get rid of annoying feedly.
I have a question, though: how does exclusion filter work? Tried to apply it to some feed, seems not to work or i can't understand something. Let me explain. I read some russian news site called Mignews. The problem with them is that they don't post sport news in separate feed, and i totally uninterested in sport news. Every sport-related entry has a title starting with 'MIGsport:' and the actual title after it, so i thought i can filter these entries out by entering MIGsport: and checking «Apply to title», but these entries are still there. I am doing something wrong or don't understand the purpose of filtering?
Thanks for the stars I'm glad to see that some people really like FeedEx.
Concerning your issue, I think the filter is working but you have to know that it's effective only on futur news. The already downloaded news are kept, even if they match with the filter.
Can you confirm me that?
Well, I understand. Let me check it for couple of hours and I'll report back.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Ok, if it's does not work, then there is chances that there is a bug inside FeedEx
I don't think it's a bug, let's wait and see. I set the app to auto-refresh every 30 minutes. What I'm going to do is to compare my timeline in FeedEx with desktop reader and my girlfriend's one. This way I'll know for sure. Will report my results later today.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
OK, tested and filtering works for newly downloaded entries! Thanks a lot!
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
You're welcome.
I agree it's a little confusing, I should explain this somewhere into the app
Thank you for your application, it is very convenient! Tell me, are there plans to make a list of feeds foldable and add the ability to reduce the font in the "news"? On my Note2 they look very big.
Hi!
Sorry for the late answer
Concerning the possibility to fold the feeds, I was possible before but not today. I remove it to allow to clic on a group and to have more simplicity into the navigation drawer. For my use, the folding feature is still present into the feed edit screen to allow to move them easily into groups.
So I'm sorry but there is currently no plans for adding it again.
And concerning the font size can you post a screenshot or explain where exactly do you find the font too big?
Hi HoloAddict!
Nice program, thanks for your excellent work. By the looks of it, the only developing standalone RSS feed reader with offline mode on the market.
Some feature suggestions for this app:
- would be nice to be able to configure font and font size. I find current font the program uses is a bit inconvenient for my eyes. I would prefer the one used by gReader. But others may like the current font. Would be nice to have it configurable.
- would be nice to have per-channel settings for number of items and item expiration. Would also be nice to be able to prevent unread items from being automatically cleared (but still clear the read ones).
- would be nice to have channel groups collapsing and expanding in the channel list - this would save space in the channel list and optimise it's navigation.
- buttons "Show original text" and "See in browser" in the article reading mode - can you make them smaller or move to the header row? Or at least make this option configurable? For short articles they take half of the screen
- would be nice to have "back" button to return you from article list to channel list, and not quit the program (this might be personal. I just got used to this hierarchy: channel list --> article list --> article).
Apart from that - great app, thanks for your work!
Darsh
Hi!
Thanks for the comments!

You're the second one who tell me this. I personnally prefer the one use by feedex (otherwise I would not have choose it ), I believe it's less tiring. Do other people think as darsh?
- would be nice to have per-channel settings for number of items and item expiration. Would also be nice to be able to prevent unread items from being automatically cleared (but still clear the read ones).

I do not want the first part (to keep it simple), but the second part is interesting, I think I'll implement it.
- would be nice to have channel groups collapsing and expanding in the channel list - this would save space in the channel list and optimise it's navigation.

It was like this before, but I changed my mind to keep simplicity (code and UI) and allow some actions like clicking on a group. Moreover I used group collapsing especially for feed sorting, not for reading it everyday.
- buttons "Show original text" and "See in browser" in the article reading mode - can you make them smaller or move to the header row? Or at least make this option configurable? For short articles they take half of the screen

I do not understood this one... Why the size of these buttons is a problem ? They are always at the bottom of the text.
- would be nice to have "back" button to return you from article list to channel list, and not quit the program (this might be personal. I just got used to this hierarchy: channel list --> article list --> article).

You're not the only one to ask me this. I could do it but this is against the android principle of a navigation drawer. Look at the gmail app, the back button doesn't open the drawer. And if I do like you said, I can't quit the app with the back button... Moreover, the back button should do what it's aimed for: going back, not open a menu.
@HoloAddict: Actually, I wanted to ask for same: to place «Retrieve the full text» and «See in browser» buttons side by side. It looks better and more «polished» and takes less place.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Side by side? I agree it would be better but I'm affraid there won't be enought width on lot of phone to be able to do that...
Nice App
@HoloAddict thanks for this App. I´m using youre feed reader now for a week and it´s really nice. Only thing missing for me atm is to switch filter from exclusion to inclusion because there are some feeds where I would prefer to get only news for filtered terms. :good: :good: :good:

I'm working on a Calendar for Quick Circle and I need you feedback about what I planned:
It will look the same as a call log, but without the call button. Every List item will be:
Event Name
Event start date - event end date
Event location
On click, it will show you a full circle activity with:
Event Name
Event description (if any)
and two buttons:
Navigate >> Go to full screen Maps or whatever you use...
Delete >> delete the event, back to the list
(optional - share button, what do you think?)
If you open the case on the event activity, it will go to the event info on your calendar app.
If you open the case on the list activity, it will go to what was before.
What do you think?
Sounds basically good. My suggestions would be:
My favourite calendar widgets replace the date with "today" or "tomorrow" as appropriate, which is very good for seeing the urgent things at a glance.
I'd make the event name the bigger or bolder font, and location smaller, again to make the important details stand out.
I don't see the need to delete events - I hardly ever delete events, and I don't need quick access to do so. No harm in having it, of course.
I'd like events to be shown until they've finished - some calendar widgets remove them once they've started, which I find weird. Same goes for all day events.
Support for calendar colours would be nice, but not vital.
You could use the ability to show unread numbers on the icons to show that there is an event alarm outstanding (again, that would be nice, not essential though)

The today/tomorrow part is a great idea, I'll implement it.
The contact name on the contact us is in bold, and the number & date are smaller. it will be the same.
So, you prefer share button instead? or just a navigate button?
I don't know how it will work with all day event, but I request from the provider only events that:
Their start day is later
Their end day is later
So I don't know if it will include the event. I'll check it later.
The unread number is impossible I think, since you need a way to refresh the icon.
And about the color, I think it will cause the list to look ugly. But, I'll check it after the release.

Totally agreed, on my opinion rosary today and tomorrow events it's more than enough and in the list mode I'd prefer some minimalist, like UpNext Calendar

What do you think? The font size will be bigger and there will be valid spacing (and if it all ltr it will look fine)
I'll also make it work with RTL

Cool bro
Good one. I like the concept, will try later.

Remind me of "Flow Home" but with (expensive ?) in app-purchase
Anyway, add a refresh button to synchronize our feed would be nice.
Also Feedly support, that would be amazing !
Very Nice and smooth launcher, congrats

Thanks for the feedback. The features that can be purchased were split up so that the user only has to pay for what they want, so it's not exactly "expensive", so to speak.
I will be adding the pull down to refresh action, and a feed filter in the next release.
needs google calandar support so your events and reminders show on the feed.
and an option for 24 clock, but overall it looks great, will test for a while

This was actually supposed to be in the initial release, but I forgot to implement it. It will be available in the next update.

Planned for a future release. I initially debated against this, because it would have been redundant to have app notifications showing up in both the notifications area and the feed, but it looks like some users might want this option. It will be implemented as an opt-in setting.

Looking forward to the next few releases so
Add tasks like Business Calendar from Google Tasks and the option to have the feed as the default page and you'll have my vote. I tired of having to have a widget here, and here, and here. I just want simplicity.

Hope that you'll keep updating and not giving up like flow Home
Congrats ! :good:
Nice!
I would use it if:
- it gets 24 hour support (i know it's coming)
- it gets iconpack support
- it gets the possibility to hide icons from the app drawer
Any update coming soon ?

Exactly my feeling.
Magnesium offers a breath of fresh air in the contextual launcher arena - quite lightweight & offers additional features as compared to other contextual launchers like KISS Launcher (or Flow, Aviate, Blur, etc ...) - I really miss Slidescreen
Areas for improvement:
- customizable default screen (drawer or feed)
- searches should be decoupled from screens & should work the same regardless of the screen they're operated in, for example, searches in the app drawer should also go through contacts etc.
- inability to deselect web searches in the free version makes the search feature useless, as web searches swamp the results & are often prioritized as compared to device results
- the search engine should be configurable due to privacy concerns (most common ones should be added: for example duckduckgo, startpage, bing, google, yandex)
- the free/paid model should be revised - as mentioned by @SuperNès90, I have a feeling you're too bent on monetizing the app/features.
Still, keep up the good job! I'm curious how this launcher will mature.

specially the free/paid model should be revised. I think it tends to scare free users to even try your work.

As name said, Just Browser. I want to create an app that doesn't log users visited websites, bookmarks and other information. There is no trashy and suspicious things in it. You are %100 safe to use it. I can assure you this app will not steal/sell/show any advertisement. I thought I can sell a "PRO" license key to monetization, that includes a few extra small features.
I've spent a few hundred hours and packed a lot of feature, try to make it's size small as possible.
It's size only 473 KB. Not even 500 KB!
Screen shots:

Wow dude, the browser seems so cool. It's so simple, which I like very much. That the bar is below is very practical.
You mentioned in the list about the night mode, which I failed to find. Also, I don't want to be grammar nazi but as far as I know it should be "find on page", not in page.
And a suggestion is coming. I personally prefer tab button to be in the front panel, instead of mic button.
Edit: I can add bookmarks, but I can't find the bookmark list.
Nice job man! Prety good browser

Nice browser, mate! Really like the speed dials and overall look. What I can't seem to get working is location, for example when I search for fitness centers, it usually shows me the ones close to me / my location. I can't get this to work with your browser, any idea why?
# Add option to set particular view options for different sites .
I'm mean , I'm always using fb in desktop view and other sites in mobile view.
But every time I need to switch between view for different sites. So there an option need to set particular site a particular view. (Naked browser has that option u can check it for reference)
# Add Exit button to the app.
# Add option to clear cache, cookies, browser history etc.
# Add light color loading bar. (For knowing that the page is loading)
# Add an option that ask to save password. (Now it is automatically saving password without asking)
All these items except loading bar can be added to list 'Menu'.
+1 soon coming if u done this request.
And about the app. This is the 1st browser i saw with cool nice simple smoothly interface with outstanding performance. Keep it up

Thanks for accepting my ideas.
I have 2 suggestion for exit button positioning.
You can add it to the 'Menu' list below 'find in page' option.
Or can be added near to the microphone button.
If u have any other better idea for that positioning then go for it

Nevermind, after a reboot it's working better with the location, for example shops can be found close to me, but my exact location can't be found when I go to Google homepage. No idea why it doesn't work, as other browsers can find my exact location right away.
One thing I'd love to see would be opening sites not in overview, but zoomed in, so it's readable right away. Not many browsers have this feature, but I personally prefer it.

Thanks. I tried it but the dark mode isn't for me. It's too hard to see if brightness is below 50%
Uploaded to the newest version, all seems to be fine. But, for example, when I click on a twitter link, it directs me to the webpage version. Some browsers offer to open it within the app. You might consider adding this feature. Also buy pro licence button doesn't seem to be working.
I cannot see the site content but in other browsers it's OK.
I like your browser I hope you will improve it more.its small simple and light weight and placement of url bar is great.
Because of this i use yandex.
Some requests can you remove Adblock count indicator from main page and can you add option to add a site to speed dail when site is already open.i have to open the new tab for adding to speed dail.
Many thanks for your work

Loving WeNote, great app.
2 feature requests:
- attach files e.g. pdf (no preview necessary)
- use default Android picker, when attach an image (instead of your own picker)
Hey, we just release latest 2.06, with the following new feature
Calendar home widget.
In order to make the development work sustainable, we make this feature as one-time-payment premium feature. It comes with 7 days free trial.
Thanks for trying out WeNote.
Any plans for making it accessible from desktop(sync) also?
Love this app, think its by far the best note app. However, 20 quid is way out of my budget for an app.
Shame
