Hi, I've been having issues with my Verizon LTE Xoom running the latest version of the Team EOS stingray ROM. 3G works fine, but I don't get 4G in areas where I know there is LTE coverage and I've gotten it before on this device. I've tried a few different older versions of the ROM that I know it worked on with no success and I'm not sure where to troubleshoot next.
I'm actually having the same problem right now. My phone sitting right next to my xoom connects to 4g right away but my xoom stays on 3g. Any help would be appreciated.

Nightlies area work in progress ladies and gents. Just ensure you have the latest radio flashed for now and keep checking for the latest nightly. I did find that I had a strong 4G signal on #111 and not so much on #113. I tether via my Gnex so I'm not really affected right now.

Ok, so i just got my droid charge. First thing i did was brick it, restore it, boot loop it, restore it again, root it and then installed gummycharge..lol.
any way, i saw that there was a new modem out, EP3HA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1293175&page=4, and i installed it. At first i did not notice anything bad, 4g worked find in my house, but now that i am at work, i cannot connect to 4g at all. My thunderbolt had no issues with 4g, even got it in a small server room.
Is there a better radio i can install to get my 4g back at work? right now im sitting at -103 1 bar, 3g My thunderbolt had a 3 bar 4g
thanks
Some people who have had modem issues with EP*** in general have claimed to be running more stable after reverting back to EE4. You might as well switch out and test the various modems with your setup as YMMV.

Hi guys I need help or info about this Ive always wanted Motorola Xoom wifi only but I received Verizon one with 3g not upgraded to lte . I rooted it and installed ics for the wifi only system from Google or android website its stock ..
And works actually very well no 3g ..nothing about service I don't mind since I'm not with Verizon and not planning to go with them I just need wifi but my question is ...is it right I mean everything works good only the battery It seems like honeycomb stock verizon build battery stays longer is it because of wifi only ice version ..or something I'm not sure if somebody can help me with info
Hmmm ... me too. I have a Xoom tablet arriving this week, and it was listed as "MZ600 Xoom, LTE ready, Verizon". Which rom version should I install? I do not plan to activate it with Verizon, as I already have a dinc running CM7 nightly build 258, and waiting for ics. I would just like to run ics on the Xoom. If I don't activate the Xoom, which rom should I use, or CAN I use??
If both of you are not planning to activate with Verizon, using a Wifi only ICS ROM won't be a bad idea. I too have installed this to a friend of mine and he hasn't experienced any issues. You will not be missing out of any features because the only main difference is the 3g / LTE radio.
So anyone has seen the stock ICS for the xoom 3G version?
AFAIK wifi only is the only model to get an official update. Running the wingray build on cdma or lte is just fine.
Do any of you have any experience using this custom rom on your Rogers SGS2 LTE? After installing this, I'm not able to connect to LTE...it seems to be stuck in 4G no matter where I go in the city (BTW, I'm in Vancouver). I've even tried to flash the stock Rogers radio onto my phone and played around with the band settings..but still the same thing. When I restore back to my stock rom, I'm able to get LTE speeds.
What am I missing?
Thanks!

Are you actually running speed tests, or are you just going by the icons? BuoyAOSPsy has an unfortunate tendency to give the same "H" symbol for LTE and HSPA+. Working on fixing it in the next build.
Thanks jomeister15! I just ran a speedtest...and you are absolutely correct about the LTE icon not showing up correctly. It just seems to be stuck on 4G even though I'm on the LTE network. Looking forward to the next build =) Very nice rom so far!
Hi all.
I just finished picking up my sgs2lte. Really excited about it. I just finished rooting it and now I would like to install an ICS 4.0.4 rom.
My specs are:
SGH-I727R
Android 2.3.5
Baseband I727RUXKJ7
Kernel 2.6.35.11
Build GB.RUXKJ7
I am hoping someone can assist me with this.
What is the best baseband for rogers?
What is the biggest sdcard that I can buy for it? I heard that this device can now accept 64 class10 sdcards, is this true?
Thanks all,
Heeter
I don't think it matters much.
UCLE2 is the recommended modem for most ROMs (Most ROMS will state which modem is recommended), especially the AOSP based ones like CM9 or AOKP. For the most part they seem to be interchangeable.
I have used the UCLE2 and UCLF3 baseband modems with no issues (I believe UCLF3 is the RAT unlocked rogers modem..).
Right now I am using the latest AT&T modem UCLF5, with CyanogenMod 9 (7/02/2012 nightly) and it seems to work just fine.
Are you able to get 4G with your setup?
Thanks for your response, Rabidsmurf

Yes, although the phone is somewhat misleading, at least in CM9
The icon will show 3G until in use when it switches to H, I assume this is for power savings or something. Download the speedtest.net app to confirm. On 4G i get around 8Mb/s down and 2.5 Mb/s up.
Additionaly what Rogers calls 4G is HSPA+, if you go to About Phone > Status under mobile network type it should say HSPAP:15 (That is HSPA+ 4G on rogers), conversely 3G is UMTS:3. My phone flips between the two as I mentioned when not in use or in use, could be a ROM specific thing.

Well, mine was saying 4G before the rooting with the factory settings,
But it says UMTS:3 on there now.
I will install CM9, maybe that will make the difference, I just installed the ATT UCLF5 radio, still 3G
Heeter
What ROM are you using?
If it's SKY ICS, in my experience it will always say 4G no matter what (Unless it's LTE maybe).
If you see UMTS:3 try to open an APP that has constant network demands, it might switch while you're looking at it in the status to HSPAP:15, sometimes it's tough to catch it as the phone seems to go idle as soon you go into the menus
I am also in Edmonton by the way.
Hi Rabidsmurf
Was mistakingly on the Chimera rom, but I just reformatted everything and now is using this SKY ICS 4.2F6 with the UXCLF3 radio, now I am getting the 4G signal
Thanks sooo much for helping me out.
Right on, cool, fellow Edmonton dude.
Heeter
No problem.
I was also going to suggest reviewing your APN settings if all else failed. Found a typo earlier with the APN that comes with CM9 rom (caused MMS to not work), guess that's why it's still an Alpha.

lol actually its at the level of an RC, but I digress
I'm using the I727RUXLF3 Baseband on AOKP Build 40 in the Edmonton area as well and it's running great. I see the same behaviour with the switching between 3G/H signal.
Hey Guys,
Just wanted to know if anyone had any success flashing some Tmobile radios on their Skyrocket with a Jellybean ROM?
I am currently running AOKP JB Rom, and I have a Tmobile signal, I can make calls and text, but something seems to be blocking my data. APN settings show T-Mobile US, so I know there is a connection.
My current Baseband is: T989UVLH1 <----Is that the problem?
Thanks in advance.
I'm running R4INS AOKP Oct 24 build. Unfortunately I can't seem to get hspa working correctly no matter what radio I flash. I'm going to try a few other ones and report back. I get edge without a problem, but it has issues with H+. I get widely fluctuating strength and terrible down speeds (5kbps). The upload speed is better (300kbps) but not what I should be seeing in my area.
