As I’m sure everyone knows, CM10 has been progressing at blazing speeds and we (on the AndroidRoot) team felt that it was time to show it off on transformers
It’s still early and CM10 has a good way to go, but it’s certainly usable! Note that this tree is what will become the official CM10 for Transformer Prime.
What works:
Wifi
Bluetooth
Sound
Camera (Photos + recording + panorama)
Video Acceleration (720p youtube ftw!)
Basic dock functionality (keyboard works -- second battery doesn’t show up)
3D Games
Sensors
What doesn’t work:
GPS
Lightsensor is funky
All credit goes to AndroidRoot team and CyanogenMod! We are the official maintainers of this device, so it can be considered a preview of what will later become official CM10 for the device.

Well, I removed stock apps, I inserted a lot of cm7 stuff, I added over-scroll and CRT, I fixed gallery drain, I removed all 4g related stuff (it doesn't work, so why the extra space ), I added some things to init.d (they wont work until we have support), I changed the build.prop to be nexus-ish (Netflix shows and works), I did a bunch of other random stuff.
I RECOMMEND AFTER YOU FLASH (IF YOU DON'T DO THE * ONES SOME THINGS WONT WORK):
*Download GPS status and clear a-GPS status
*Download CPU Master or SetCPU and change the governor to what you want (if you want ondemand and it is already, just change to conservative and then back)
-not necessary but really recommended- Download a SD tweak app and change the setting to 2048
*Download battery widget and place it somewhere (fixes battery issues)
*Go into settings-display-animations-all
Look at this http://www.tested.com/news/25-essential-tweaks-to-perform-on-your-new-android-phone/1656/

This is RFS-only. There is no EXT4 support - believe me, ACS tried to hack it in there for you, but it's just not happening right now. Other devs are welcome to try, but ACS doesn't believe it's possible at this point. However, the kernel is rooted, and contains Busybox for your device usage pleasure.

Init.d support would really be nice...
I need some help wiff teh AOSP lock...
Not familiar with how to remove CIQ
YOU NEED RFS (CWM 2.x.x OR CWM 3.0.2.5). Only tested on CWM 2, don't trust CWM 3, IDK why.
Open source licenses: http://source.android.com/source/licenses.html
Flash the rerfs first
Bugs:
4g is non functional.
Phone only powers on while unplugged (plug in after boot). Still charges, just doesnt boot.
This leak is from ACS's leaker and I hold no legal responsibility regarding the ED12 leak, I am unaware who this leaker is, but I just modified what was made available for speed and stability.
Support is discontinued until ee03 rom is done.
I'm so glad to see someone working on this!

My request would be to take the theme from Simply AOSP ROM and port it over to this new rom. Just the basic's. not all of it. so it's more gingerish.

I needed suggestions
My suggestion would be to wait.
(Taken from ACS's OP on ED12)
Known Bugs
4G non-functional
GPS non-functional out of the box - WORKAROUND: get GPS Status from the Market; reset AGPS status (works with wireless networks off)
Wake lag present
Does not boot when plugged in and powered off, unplug to boot
Temperature sensor readings are incorrect. You may see interrupted charging due to bad battery temp readings.
ED12 is really an Alpha if anything. There is a reason other Dev's haven't quickly been updating their ROMs to Gingerbread. It's not ready.
Not to mention there is no source code, no kernel support, etc..

My suggestion would be to give him suggestions for a ROM he is making, not be a tool. A lot of people want to use Gingerbread now regardless of the issues. I, for one, don't use 4G (not in my area) and don't use GPS. I'd rather sacrifice a little to use Netflix right now.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1050666
I agree to waiting. Just for the fact that so much is non-functioning. However! Just because a few won't be jumping on board doesn't mean you shouldn't DK28 on the bit. Who knows when actual GB will be coming out.
That's a link to TouchWiz 4.0 ported to the Galaxy S. I heard they got it working on the captivate and vibrant as well.

You're right.. how improper of me to recommend waiting to avoid problems. As requested here are my suggestions..
Suggestions
Fix 4G
Fix GPS
Fix the wake lag
Won't boot if plugged in, recommend fixing that as well
Oh and fix the Temperature Sensors so the battery will charge properly (Anyone else realize that's a huge huge bug?)
I'm not trying to be pessimistic and more power to him or anyone else who makes a ED12 ROM but it's in bad bad shape.. and I'd never recommend building a house with a foundation of mud.

My suggestions:
1) ignore the trolls, they have nothing but negativity to add
2) ignore those that say wait, if you are offering the time, why wait, some people may want even a flaky release to play with
3) add as much black to the theme as possible to help save battery since you said you couldn't do kernel work
4) post updates on your effort a lot, even if it is a "not yet ready, no eta"
Questions, though they may both be a kernel thing:
Will this work only with CWM 2.5.5, as it would only be RFS?
Is it possible for WiFi tether to work with this?
This build should work with the Netflix app, correct?
After all, if the bug list ONLY includes, no 4G, no GPS, wake lag, and battery temp issue, that would make for a pretty good play around with build! Heck, that's a lot better than other "play around with" builds I have tried out in the past!

This a port of the Glacier (MyTouch 4G) GB leak. I was a big fan of Zenulator's ZenExp Espresso port for the Hero, and decided it to try to port this one over. Seems pretty stable, though I haven't been able to test out everything. So give it a test drive, and let me know of your findings. I've removed most of the T-Mobile bloatware, but there still may be some tucked away somewhere so let me know that as well.
What works:
Calls
Data
Camera
SMS (as of 6/8/11, fixed error for sms over 160 char)
Wifi
Hotspot
GPS
Widgets)
MMS (as of 5/22/11)
What Doesn't Work:
4G
VVM
Headphone jack (Media playback)
Needs Testing:
Bluetooth
Genius button (in Car Dock App)
DOWNLOAD
Backup all user data.
download to SD Card.
wipe, wipe, wipe
flash.
Thanks to:
faux123 for the Glacier leak
TMartin03 for the Speedy leak/base
Mbobino for the MMS fix
Zenulator, Nfinitefx45 for inspiration

I'll bite..downloading now. I'll edit with results. Almost dinner, so might take an hour.
Edit : ok, see here are my quick findings. No MMS. I didn't try to receive, but send definitely failed. The Genius app work flawless. GPS got a quick and accurate lock. Wifi worked fine. I couldn't test bluetooth as I don't have anything to pair it with. I noticed the neither the function nor shift lights work on the keyboard (actually it's possible they did light up and my case covered them), but there are icons in the task bar representing them. Wifi hotspot worked fine.
So all in all very nice smooth ROM. I really like the look of Sense, it's a nice fresh look. Get the MMS sorted out and I think you have a winner.
I've nandroided back to my original set up/rom because I'm headed out so I wont be able to test further.. Hope I offered some help.
will flashing to a different kernel (x99) work with this ROM?
edit: didn't try flashing the kernel, but I was using the ROM and it was smooth very nice I like the UI. I ran into a problem with a text message over 160char. It just keeps giving an error for not being able to send and you can't stop it so it flashes every 10secs. Not sure why but it happened on the speedyhd port also. and there are MMS settings under the text message settings, just something that might help with mms. Great job on the port though.
This looks awsome

Thanks all for the testing. Mbobino PMed me the MMS fix, so I'll have that up sometime today.
I downloaded this and used it lastnight and noticed that the battery drains really quick. and for some reason thing's would keep trying to sync even after I would set the option for manual syncing or no sync at all. like the news account in the "sync & account" setting kept rechecking itself after I unchecked it, everytime.
I really like it though. I like all the custimizations in the espresso version of sense.

Q&A
Is this CM7?
No, this is a build that started from AOSP. However, some of the fixes and few features have been derived from the CyanogenMod Team, including the CM kernel.
How social is the evervolv team?

This tastes smooth
Did a fresh wipe/data reset. Flashed the rom and the gb-0325 gapps. Everything installed with no issues, first boot went smooth.
It's a decent looking rom even though the font is really hard on my crappy eyesight, overall I like it so far besides the few issues i ran into. Market works and reinstalled all of my apps without issue. Everything syncs(contacts, gmail, apps, etc) Sent and received a few SMS messages. 1x/3g works. Browsed the internet. Can make and receive calls.
I thought it was a little slow after first boot but after a reboot it isn't as clunky and sporadicly laggy. Gallery took a bit initially but i think it was generating the new thumbnails
Camera force closes and does not open.
I receive an error when trying to start wifi. It just says error, I will logcat or something later when my kids aren't trying to beat me mercilessly.

Normal distributions for phones that are supported go as follows
Test builds (current stage of the heroc), These go on irc in the main topic, i often tweet about them being there... but not always.
Nightly builds ( I call them nightlies because I used to do them once or twice a night for people back when gingerbread first came out, now i just put out nightlies when I think the rom is good, but want one last test ). - These can be found on twitter and in the IRC channels main topic.
XDA/evervolv.com builds - These are the obvious release builds... I do not do 'Stable releases' just because there's always something out there that im trying out... learning how to do.. so ya'all get what we're doing anyways. For the most part a 'beta' build is something that is stable enough for usage... yet the next week there could be something borked because im adding new things (like standalone power widgets are currently borked... working on them as soon as this message is written).
As far as the heroc is concerned, im fine with smoothtaste compiling and distributing.. ( this is an open community afterall) but i'll be doing an official release shortly (was close to doing one before 2.3.4 was merged, and then got busy with that =p)
my twitter account - @preludedrew
I post everything i do on there, kind of a 'twitlog' if you will.
So Konrad got the rom working and it works wonderfully.
I in no way shape or form had anything to do with this except ask for it. Konrad did all the work building from Aokp's source and he did a wonderful job.
Latest working ROM is here http://goo.gl/jfsaI
Rotation is fully fixed and no more bugs then any other ROM out that I can see. Still trying to get all the Asus apps working integrated like everyone else.
GApps: http://goo-inside.me/gapps/latest
FYI: New build updated at the same link. This one includes the asus keyboard and dock libraries. All the languages seem to work just fine. Not sure about the different languages for the dock (Please let me, Konrad know). Also the hotkeys still don't work.
All credit for this build of AOKP and all the work and thanks goes to konrad1337 who built it, Roman and the AOKP team who started the ROM.
I have that ROM on my Nexus S. It's hands down the best ICS ROM.
I have it on my Vibrant and agree it is by far the best one out there. I was actually thinking about seeing of Roman has any tablet builds yet or how difficult it would be to convert one over from phone to tablet or at least run a branch off the committ on github.

Ya but you know who does have a TF is Dan_Brutal. Since you know the Vibe then you know EDT and I think Whitehawxx worked with them both at one time or another. Might be something there. Would be nice though as AOKP is extremely customisable, stable and clean running.
Sidenote::: I saw in another thread that you were wanting to root your TF but didn't want Windows on your computer (ala Viper or Nacho). I am actually trying to figure a way to push the exploit in another way. I will shoot you a PM once I figure something out.
Aokp tf101
Ok, so I came across this post and figured I would lend a hand. I had the device trees and vendor trees for the tf101 to compile successfully for CM9. So I took those and threw them together for AOKP. Was able to get it to compile successfully, but cannot test it till I get out of work....knew I should have brought my tf101 to work lol. Figured I would at least share it, and will be responding with my feedback later tonight. Let me know if there is any problems.
If works fine, will see about taking my cornerstone changes I made to work with CM9 and add them to this AOKP build as well.
Download: http://goo.gl/jfsaI
Edit: So I installed this and it boots and runs fine. Wifi seemed to work fine and all. Only issue I have found so far is the rotation is broke. It wants to stay in portrait mode. Any feedback is welcome.
Edit2: So rotation is fixed; so have a look and let me know what y'all think. Working fine here.
Edit3: Well I got it to display correctly but the touch inputs were still in portrait mode if that makes any sense. I have reverted the changes so the ROM is fully working but stuck in portrait mode.
Edit4: Link updated and everything is working. Have fun!
Wow awesome for the root help.
I'll shoot Roman a tweet and see if team kang can do a tf build

Take a look at this. Had to make these changes to fix that.
https://github.com/hillbillyhacker8...mmit/9ba2af252ec8a70cda9242ca97038e2b3a71c541
Then that created another error which is fixed by this.
https://github.com/hillbillyhacker8...mmit/d8e59839574e33b82a181c21aa2ad5ba9ed5e2ce
Then it built the otapackage fine.
Did find out that the rotation is messed up though. Stays in portrait mode, so let me know if you have success or not.
Hey man, looking to test this out. Is rotation working then? Thnx in advanced

Updated my post with this info too. Other than being stuck in portrait mode which I am trying to figure out why, ROM is working perfectly.

You are awesome!!!! Thanks. 1 Question? Does it come with the Gapps or do I just flash the older ones from the CM9 from 2 weeks ago for the tf101? Or can we use the newest 03042012Gapps?

Does not come with gapps. Can just grab the latest around and use them.
Latest working ROM is here: http://goo.gl/jfsaI
Rotation is fully fixed and no more bugs then any other ROM out that I can see. Still trying to get all the Asus apps working integrated like everyone else.

You just made my month... You have a donation link or anything? I really appreciate your efforts on this. I almost went out and bought a GTab because I wanted AOKP on my tf. I would love to learn all this stuff but feel overwhelmed when I read how to code Java.

Already played with the ROM and I experienced an issue with the screen brightness being over saturated with white or something. Even with Auto-brightness turned off. Love the transition effects btw.

I am curious. Are all these roms ports from samsung vibrant/t-959/GT-I9000 eugene373 based roms?
I ask only because you are saying camcorder broken and I may be able to fix that as I own both phones and my camcorder broke on my vibrant even though the regular camera works, and I had to jump through a lot of hoops with debugging to find out and fix the problem. Part of it had to do with camera firmware incompatibilities, but also with the media server crashing the audio server by overflowing a buffer.
This is a problem that started when eugene373 bought a new phone and stopped most devel on the vibrant and things started breaking shortly after as he (and myself) are two out of only a few who really know the true inner workings of the samsung phones well, and I have been so slammed at work I have not been able to contribute to for some time.
Note: if its based on cm7, that's most likely a eugene373 vibrant based port he helped with after he stopped developing full time on vibrant, and we are going to need to get working on some serious debugging cause I dont think he ever managed to get that working on the vibrant cause samsung does it a little different.
Anyway, due to our recent um... shall I say, fervent disagreement in another thread. I would like to take this as an opportunity to present an olive branch as I may be able to help ultimately fix this once and for all.
I will be working mostly blind however as I made a promise to myself I wouldn't do anything to my blaze other than root, and learn its systems for the first few months before I went crazy with mods/roms etc. However my old vibrant is fare game to completely break and fix as much as I want.
So if you can start by telling me what "broken" means (force close? phone locks? reboots phone? doesnt save audio? garbled picture?, does it happen right when you try to switch from camera to camcorder, or only once you hit record on camcorder?) I'll take a look at what the problem is and see if I can help in any way. Also if you have a logcat -v time of when this happens from the a few moments before you enter the camera app till 10 seconds after the problen occurs, that would help point me in the right direction.

nope this juggernaut port is from the s2 from whitehawk as stated in the OP
and lol about our differences of opinions, it's water under the bridge bro not everyone agrees on everything...and my info mainly came from an article that seems like carrieriq released and took down but (http://www.androidcentral.com/carrier-iq-gives-lengthy-look-how-it-works) this kind of explains what i mean that the app isn't the only way carrier iq works. In my old phone the sgs4g there wasn't an app for carrier iq but it was still working. anywho, help is always welcomed but maybe we can wait til you're ready to work on it non-blindly ;P
This one seems to be the only rom which has multi language menu. Thank you for the port !
