Dear All,
I have a newly purchased Archos 70 IT (250G) version, as I want to use it as a photo bank to store my photos in my Canon 40D, I read a lots of threads on XDA and finally found out the most workable way to copy my photo to Archos 70H is downgrade my O/S to 2.0.54 from 2.3.81. And Connecting my device with a Nokia CA157 cable (USB OTG cable) to another USB cable to my Canon 40D. Then I can read and write on the CF card (32GB Extreme Pro) without any problem.
However, the performance of 2.0.54 is too bad... I want to install Urukdroid 1.6 in my Archos 70H, but Urukdroid 1.6 is developed based on 2.3.xx which would not allow me to connect my Canon 40D to copy photos.
My question is, if I install Urukdoid 1.6 in my Archos 70H, can I boot it into original stock O/S 2.0.54?
Any Urukdoid 1.6 roots user can help me answer this question? Just simply boot your Archos in Android in boot menu, thanks!!!!

I have a Fujitsu P1120 touchscreen netbook. I have been trying to dual boot android with the windows xp that is on there but have had no success. I cannot seem to figure out the right way to put android on the hard drive. It keeps coming up with a grub error for invalid filesystem. I have downloaded liveandroid, android 86x. The main problem that I have is that my device doesn't support booting from usb, booting from network, or any usb external drive. So the only way I can get it to work is to manually install android but I don't know how to do that.
Can anyone help me with this please?

I so happy now.. i found one dvd-rw usb work very fast in the my fujitsu...
Is liteOn Slim USB (have 2 usb) dvd-rw and the bios work..
To put it bluntly you're trying to get your netbooks to do something it isn't intended to do. Those thing are built with the absolute bare minimum to do pretty much nothing more than browse the web, hence "netbook". It's not a full PC. Even the newer ones don't run a full version of Windows 7. Short of knowing how to re-write a BIOS image or finding a modified one and flashing it, which has the risk of perma-bricking your computer.
Волк,
Sorry my bad english..I have a good computer, phone and tablet. However I like to modify my old electronics giving new life to them .... Now for example I'll replace the HDD Fujitsu Lifebook P1120 IDE for SSD and I'll put a PCMCIA card with internal memory to speed up Windows. I installed windows 7 and it is working. So I had to make a modification in winsetup.dll to install.
At the moment I install Android but I am having difficulties.
Anybody was able to root a TV Box which is Android 2.3.4, model is MBX DVBT.
Model is MBX DVBT board (c03ref) ver 2.3.4
The version I got has no usb to pc port, so not sure even if it can be put into recovery mode.
Also there is no update option in the setup menu neither doodle applications.
But Market, G mail works fine and can install apk files from sd card.
It didn't come from manual. And I wanted to view website with correct arabic fonts but all letters are disconnected and in reverse direction.

Please help.
Thank you.
Hi I have the same box with you, have you rooted your box?
MBX DVTB rooting needed
Hi
Not yet , tried z4root, Gingerbreak, nothing you can also follow up with this post.

Seems hard to root, no mini usb, no reset pinhole. I am negotiating with the Chinese seller to exchange it with another one with USB to PC connection.
I've seen a couple of videos on youtube about doing a root on these pads. I have 1 coming during the week, here is some of the technical spec for it...
Real Android 2.3 system, Flytouch 3 upgrade version
CPU VC882 Embedded 800MHz~1GHz ARM Cortex A8 32-bit processor core
I'm not sure of the exact make.
Is it really as simple as it seems on the youtube videos i.e install LauncherPro and select USB debugging option, then installing z4root, and that will be the device rooted?
Also, I downloaded the z4root.apk file on to my pc, but would I be better just downloading the .apk file straight on to the tablet via the browser rather than trying to transfer it from my pc?
Also, once installed, is it possible to upgrade the OS from 2.3 to a later version?
Sorry for the basic noobish questions, and thanks for any help you can give :good:
Hello,
I wanted to post this in the ride category but i don't have access to post it there.
I have a Samsung np540 touch and i want to install android 4.0 ore 4.2 Dual boot.
On XDA developers there was an application to make it dual-boot.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37832955
I tried it with 3 different images. The one recommended for asus eeepc and 2 others.
But with all of them i get the same error.
File:
\ANDROID\boot\grldr.mbr
file not found or couldn't load
I also tried to start android from a usb stick, but i can't start from usb with this laptop.
I think this is because the new boot application UEFI.
Best regards,
Rudy Coppens
Hello everyone, i am not sure if that thread is realeted to this forum, but i couldnt find anything usefull on the internet. So i have this little, cheap 7-inch tablet wich has an x86 processor(Intel Atom Z3735G;[email protected],3 GHz). Its nothing that impressive ,but the problem here is i got the cheapest model that has 8 GB storage and this is soo small that i cant even upgrade to windows 10....
My question is how I can install android on this thing (android x86 i believe) so to get more use of it. I found a thread at the toshiba forum (https://forum.toshiba.eu/showthread.php?85658-Encore-Mini-WT7-C-100-how-to-boot-from-SD-card-boot), but when i turn on the tablet in boot menu my sd card just not appear...
I flashed android x86 4.4-r5 latest with universal usb installer tool so i guess its bootable. The UEFI is turned off and again nothing is appearing... I just want to ask can be the problem from the sd card because its old 2 GB (Big enough to fit android image on it) or i need to do a specific thing to make the tablet see it, or ineed to get another android version, i dont know. Thank you , I am really sorry if this thread is not for this forum since this tablet is x86.
i figured it out
OK,so i have done a a little of a research and figured out that its impossible to boot from sd card on this tablet. The only possible way to do it is with flashdrive via OTG cable. Another thing android x86 isn`t supported on that device and its laggy and it has screen orientation/speakers issue. The next thing i am going to try is ubuntu GNOME. I think it will be the best for this tablet but i think i woud have some space issues. OK, Sorry fro spaming in that forum the thread is closed.
