Transformer TF-100 Reboot2Recovery Works on TF300 - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Thought I might pass this along. I moved form a TF-100 to the TF-300 and there is an app on the market call Reboot2Recovery, it's built for TF-100 but works on TF-300 great with CWR. Link to playstore below if you want it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwxLDEsImNvbS50cmFuc2Zvcm1lci5yZWNvdmVyeSJd

Try quick boot, very good for multiple reboot procedures and device neutral.

Anyone Try defult.prop edit to supported phone?

NBA JAM

Has anyone tried this app out on the TF101.
Silly EA seems to have prevented us from downloading the app officially from the market. Yet people say it works on the prime???? Even dumber, I can downloading on my ol' school t-mobile G2.
I though about buying it on my G2, then doing a Titanium Backup over to the TF101.
Has anyone tried it, doing something simular?
I got it to work on my Transformer, no fiddling necessary.
EDIT: PM sent.
I have it working on my TF101.

How did you bring it over? Or did you use TB and bring over the backup?

Just restore .apk from TI backup.
If the game checks device info (Eg. Gameloft):
This method can be used for Gameloft games: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25509954#post25509954 So I'm sure one can be derived for other apps.
Another method is to modify your Device ID to something like the galaxy nexus in the Build.prop file. This does change your whole device, though.
All requires Root.

Hulu on the bandwagon

This may be somewhat common knowledge, but I thought I'd share since I don't see any threads about Hulu in here.
It seems Hulu has decided having root is evil and therefor they will not allow you to stream to a device which is rooted. I don't get why these companies do this. I tried temp unroot with rootkeeper but it still didn't want to work, though it could be the flag gets set for the device on your account and doesn't flip back without some further intervention on Hulu's end.
Thank you for your email, and I'm sorry for the trouble with Hulu Plus on your Asus Transformer Infinity. I'm afraid the error message you're receiving indicates that our system flagged your Infinity as a "rooted" device. Basically, "rooted" means that the software on the device has been altered in some way. Some users may do this to enable particular apps on their devices or to customize the Android OS, but unfortunately, we cannot support these modified-OS devices. I realize this is frustrating and I apologize.
If you don't believe your device is rooted, just let me know and we can investigate other causes of this error message. To aid my troubleshooting, is there anything installed on the device or any unusual settings that might be triggering this "rooted" flag? There are some apps that are known to cause this trouble (Hide It Pro is one of these apps).
Again, my apologies for all the trouble here. I hope we can reach a solution. Let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with, or if you have further questions.

If you are unlocked hulu will not work because Asus deletes the drm keys off the tablet upon unlocking. Meaning hulu and some other programs won't work that rely on that.
If you are not unlocked, make sure if you have ad away installed that you disable it before opening the app it will not work until you do this. Hulu works just fine for me rooted.

ahhh so it's the unlocking they are balking at, not necessarily just being rooted.
thanks for the info, that clears up the why of it. damn i hate drm.
Is this something that could eventually be worked around? I use hulu plus a lot and I'm getting this tablet soon. I wonder of its even worth unlocking for me

I suggest forgoing the Hulu Plus app and modifying your flash so you can watch Hulu Plus straight from the stock browser or Dolphin. The attached script requires root and busybox, but will modify your libflashplayer.so so that it's unblocked by Hulu.com. This also circumvents the HDMI-out limitation found in the current app.

Hmm. I may have to try that when I get my tf700 next Wednesday. Thanks.

Currently I think unlocking the TF700 is not ready due to the fact that we don't gain that much by doing so (more headache by doing so). I would wait after the release of Jelly Been.
Is updating with the ota safe then? I hear it fixes some issues

Yes, the .26 OTA is safe and worth applying

Safe? To my knowledge it was never unsafe. .26 definitely does perform better than previous versions, though it's less than what I'd expect from a $500+ tablet.

I meant, can you still unlock bootloader and root after doing the update. I know with my EVO LTE, if I take the ota, I lose root.

yes you can still do both. =)
I was reading that there is a modded version of Hulu Plus that works on an unlocked prime. I guess the Landscape version at the link below works quite well.. Can anyone test this on the infinity? I have yet to unlock. I would rather not lose the hulu app.

I have it on my unlocked infinity, It works fine in terms of showing tv shows and movies, but the interface is a little annoying and old school. Mostly you just have to get used to the search feature. It is not as easy to navigate as the new app, but if you know what you are looking for it's pretty good.

Could you possibly put up a screenshot of the interface? I'm deciding whether or not to unlock and hulu is a deciding factor. And it's that particular version you are using? The one I linked earlier? Thanks!

Who uses hulu anyways? Not being able to watch their free content with their app on a droid device is a dealbreaker for me. I reactivate subscription services only when I have time off from school.

PlayStation store on my at&t skyrocket...working!

No problems at all. You need to be rooted, and need two files...when I'm not on my phone I'll try to update this properly.

Ensure your enabled unknown sources so you can install the PSM apk.
I also included the Zip file need for "updating" in recover mode. I can not attach the PSM apk since it is 18mb.
I'm able to use my dual shock 3 controller with this. Works perfectly fine. I know the write up on how to get a sixaxis and ds3 controller in already on here.

Google Play Movies

I am trying to watch my movies on my Rooted Xoom with CM10. I read that the app now allows streaming for rooted devices. This isn't the case for me. That doesn't work at all and I have reinstalled the app and rebooted numerous times. So here is what I am asking. First off is there anyway to get a real full functioning Google play movies app for my Xoom, if not how can I get the streaming to work?
Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium HD app
I know that xoom users are using a modified gapps, I made a symlinked gapps for systems with small system partitions. I posted in the general area, but haven't got any feedback. I figured it was because you guys are used to using the xoom gapps. This is the complete gapps package, with everything included. We are still in alpha with CM10 since we got stuck at froyo, so only me and a few other devs have really used it. Our CM10 is not fully functional so I can't test everything, but everything I could test did work. Hope this might help.
