NBA JAM - Eee Pad Transformer Themes and Apps

Has anyone tried this app out on the TF101.
Silly EA seems to have prevented us from downloading the app officially from the market. Yet people say it works on the prime???? Even dumber, I can downloading on my ol' school t-mobile G2.
I though about buying it on my G2, then doing a Titanium Backup over to the TF101.
Has anyone tried it, doing something simular?

I got it to work on my Transformer, no fiddling necessary.
EDIT: PM sent.

I have it working on my TF101.

How did you bring it over? Or did you use TB and bring over the backup?

You know what, it just randomly started working. I kept checking cause since I paid for it it was never playable. Then it started working one day.
So yes then I used TB to carry it over.....but it has stoped working again.....that and a few other games.......

Just restore .apk from TI backup.
If the game checks device info (Eg. Gameloft):
This method can be used for Gameloft games: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25509954#post25509954 So I'm sure one can be derived for other apps.
Another method is to modify your Device ID to something like the galaxy nexus in the Build.prop file. This does change your whole device, though.
All requires Root.

[Q] titanium backup

Has anyone tried copying their titanium backup folder from their Droid phone, pasting it into their xoom root, loading the titanium app to the xoom, and loading apps from their phone over to the xoom?
I have not tried this so I am not certain, but I do not think this will work.
Especially since alot of apps arent running on honeycomb

Aslong as the app works in honeycomb this will work fine.

How can you tell if an app will run on honeycomb or not? I have ordered a new xoom but haven't received it yet.

You typically learn something doesn't work, when it just doesn't do what it's supposed to. Like when your flying down the road, and are coming to a stop sign or some crap, and you hit your breaks and nothing happens and fiery death ensues. Your breaks didn't work, and you found out by getting your ass wrecked.
You can also try to search the marketplace for the apps when you get your xoom. If they show up they should work.
Thanks.

Hulu Plus

New APK...Try this, it is working alright so far ... Feb 2012
HuluPlus
Old Method..
All credits goes to huntken, i'm just posting here. Works on my transformer. I'm running Prime 1.7. Original thread here..
http://rootzwiki.com/showthread.php?t=2526
Directions:
1. Delete Hulu Plus if you have it installed already.
2. Delete any backups you may have of it in Titanium Backup.
3. Get Titanium Backup if you don't already have it.
4. Download this file here: and unzip it, there will be 3 folders in it.
5. Place all 3 folders in the sdcard/TitaniumBackup folder
6. Launch Titanium Backup and restore the backup.
7. Enjoy?
And of course I'm not responsible for anything that goes wrong and blah blah blah.
PLEASE NOTE: You can't use "Ad Free" or anything that modifies hosts for this, or the videos won't load.
This worked perfect on my transformer running prime 1.7
Well hey there alex

Do you have to be a plus subscriber to access the free stuff? Is there a different app for that or something? The free stuff on the Hulu Plus app only has a mere handful episodes and just 1 movie. Otherwise it works awesome. Thanks.

Free stuff is web only I am afraid. Gotta pay to play
I would if I could. I'm in canada. I watch the free stuff on my PC thru a proxy. It sucks using the browser to play it on the tf. If I didn't need to have a credit card address in the US I'd subscribe. Netflix works for me though. Both US and Canadian sites with the patch. That will do for now I guess.

Sorry forgot to say my thanks.
Thanks Alex (and of course huntken). This has pretty much fulfilled my wishes for this tablet. It would be nice if they finally get around to make it tablet optimized, but beggars can't be choosers (which is funny enough because I actually pay for their service, lol).
Now let's get some more high quality games on this thing
When i downloaded the file and unzipped the file inside was one a hulu proprieties and 2 more zip files. do i unzip them as well or just place them in the Titanium Backup folder? thanks

just place the 3 files in the titanium backup folder and refresh the app list in TB, if it doesn't show, reboot the TF, it will be near the bottom of the list corssed out, just click on it and restore.
works like a charm on my TF running revolver 2.1
Thanks it works on the rooted stock TFs
sexy.
Free stuff definitely plays. I am not signed in (plus account is down atm anyway) and I'm watching Peter Griffin fight a chicken as I type this.

Same problem and have try uninstall reboot ect like you but still no go. You guys restoring app only our app + data?
Apps + data worked well for me. There was someone over in the nookcolor forum who edited the Netflix app to work in landscape. It works great and I use it all the time. I might ask him if he can do the same for this app.

Gyroscope inverted? And another question...

Im having my second big problem with this tablet...
Have you guys used your gyroscope and if yes where, cause today I got mc3 from play store and started it, then i noticed that the gyro is inverted like by turning the device up and down it goes left and right and vice versa. I then downloaded a gyro test app from market and there i had exact same problem, it said in the description of the app that motorola XOOM has a problem with gyro that the x and y are inverted (exactly same problem).
So have you guys had this?
Overall im getting frustrated with this tablet due to problems with strange lag see this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1774826 although i have posted that the problems were gone i re-noticed them today on for example mc3.
Overall what do you think of these? Have you had these or should i send it back to repair...
I would really appreciate any help...
Thanks!

Hulu on the bandwagon

This may be somewhat common knowledge, but I thought I'd share since I don't see any threads about Hulu in here.
It seems Hulu has decided having root is evil and therefor they will not allow you to stream to a device which is rooted. I don't get why these companies do this. I tried temp unroot with rootkeeper but it still didn't want to work, though it could be the flag gets set for the device on your account and doesn't flip back without some further intervention on Hulu's end.
Thank you for your email, and I'm sorry for the trouble with Hulu Plus on your Asus Transformer Infinity. I'm afraid the error message you're receiving indicates that our system flagged your Infinity as a "rooted" device. Basically, "rooted" means that the software on the device has been altered in some way. Some users may do this to enable particular apps on their devices or to customize the Android OS, but unfortunately, we cannot support these modified-OS devices. I realize this is frustrating and I apologize.
If you don't believe your device is rooted, just let me know and we can investigate other causes of this error message. To aid my troubleshooting, is there anything installed on the device or any unusual settings that might be triggering this "rooted" flag? There are some apps that are known to cause this trouble (Hide It Pro is one of these apps).
Again, my apologies for all the trouble here. I hope we can reach a solution. Let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with, or if you have further questions.

If you are unlocked hulu will not work because Asus deletes the drm keys off the tablet upon unlocking. Meaning hulu and some other programs won't work that rely on that.
If you are not unlocked, make sure if you have ad away installed that you disable it before opening the app it will not work until you do this. Hulu works just fine for me rooted.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
ahhh so it's the unlocking they are balking at, not necessarily just being rooted.
thanks for the info, that clears up the why of it. damn i hate drm.

I suggest forgoing the Hulu Plus app and modifying your flash so you can watch Hulu Plus straight from the stock browser or Dolphin. The attached script requires root and busybox, but will modify your libflashplayer.so so that it's unblocked by Hulu.com. This also circumvents the HDMI-out limitation found in the current app.

Hmm. I may have to try that when I get my tf700 next Wednesday. Thanks.

Currently I think unlocking the TF700 is not ready due to the fact that we don't gain that much by doing so (more headache by doing so). I would wait after the release of Jelly Been.

Safe? To my knowledge it was never unsafe. .26 definitely does perform better than previous versions, though it's less than what I'd expect from a $500+ tablet.

I have it on my unlocked infinity, It works fine in terms of showing tv shows and movies, but the interface is a little annoying and old school. Mostly you just have to get used to the search feature. It is not as easy to navigate as the new app, but if you know what you are looking for it's pretty good.

I'm locked, but rooted. Hulu Plus works fine. I'm also on JB (android 4.1.1). I've used it since 4.0.1.
I'm unclear on your "not this specific tablet" statement, but you state you're on JB. It's like you're implying it worked before. I assume it wasn't working before. Usually, if a app isn't compatible, it work show up in Google Play, and on the Google Play through the web will state it's not compatible; although, some apps show up in Google Play app, but will state not compatible.
I don't know where the thread is, but there is a hacked Hulu Plus app that is suppose to work on any android device. Search for it, and side load it.
As for Hulu through the web browser, it requires a hacked Flash Player that fools Hulu to think you're on a PC. The reason it doesn't work with web browser is because Hulu doesn't all the free Hulu on anything except a PC. If your'e desperate, there's a thread someone on it too. On a side note, I have no idea if they ever hacked an updated version of flash player for it. If not, that version is around eighteen months old, so there is probably security holes in it that are known by now.
Personally, I think you need to uninstall and redownload and install again. There is no reason it should worked. I just used it two days ago and was fine. The only thing I can think of, you're not using a north american release of the Infinity (TF700T) and somehow it's triggering the issue.
