HTC Inspire Light problem - HTC Inspire 4G

Hi,
I have bought HTC inspire,
Its is blinking automatically , even if its locked... i have switched off all the notifications ..even then i am facing this issue.
Can any one suggest a solution for this.

Need to know a little more, so im just gonna throw a mess of brainstorm ideas.
battery low? was it dropped or did it get wet? what rom are you using? have you pulled the battery and do a hard reboot? Try force closing your mail app and your messaging app (from within manage apps area). if not-rooted or any modifications id consider using warranty if none of these can correct the problem, which im assuming is your LED light in the top left corner.

Is your LED light blinking or is it your screen? Also as stated above, the questions he asked would help diagnose this issue.

Some huge troubles with screen

Hello, I have an issue with screen - it is very dark and it is even twice as darker as it used to be, and its just unusable
I don't really know why it is so - it can't be a physical damage, because I've been using this device for 3 months and never dropped it. BTW such issue was 3-4 or for times before and was cured by rebooting - now it doesn't help and even charging phone doesn't solve this problem.
I've been using the ROM - Cognition (some of the latest) and will try to flash back to stock, maybe it will solve my problem
Have you guys had such issue?
Have you tried changing you brightness settings?
after unlocking the screen slide your finger over status bar at top or where it should be if u could see it and see if that works.
lol, I know how to change brightness of the screen) but that's was awful, very dark screen and seemed like broken. after charging to 100% now it is fine, but I afraid I will have the same issue in the future

Did you try disabling the "power save" option to see if that was causing it?

not a USA citizen....
I even have no idea, why it happened, maybe because of that so much cold weather in Russia?
is this only happening when the battery charge is less than 10%? If so, that's by design.

today I was told that it's the screen problem and the only thing I can do is to replace it with the other screen, but unfortunetly, european Samsung Galaxy S screen is a bit different and the only place where I can replace it is the United States...

[Q] Help! Back key on Nexus S freezes.

Hello guys I was wondering if anybody else is having this problem, sometimes when I press the back key on my att nexus s it freezes for a couple of secs then it goes back to normal, it won't matter what I am doing it could be anything from visiting the marketplace to browsing the web its really annoying me a lot at this point.
If you know anyway how to fix this issue please let me know thanks.
I have the same problem, but it also happens with my menu and search keys. The individual backlight will dim and the phone freezes for 4-7 sec.

Not having this issue.

Is the phone freezing or is just the back key randomly not responding to touch? If its the latter, then you need to do an exchange. Common problem.
I used to have this issue but it eventually went away. It happened after they replaced my screen.
I used to have this and assumed it was a hardware thing, changing roms sorted it.
I have no idea why this is the case and when someone else said as much I thought it couldn't be the case but I'd suggest you flash a different ROM and see how you get on.
I have this problem also. Mine will go dark and exit out of anything I'm doing as if I was pressing it. Gets old sometimes

I started getting this about two months into the life of my Nexus. In the process of exchanging mine now in the hours that I get an unaffected unit.

My first one did this constantly so I exchanged it and so far so good with the new one.
Looks like a bad batch of ns4g's went out. Mine is doing this too. Not very ofter but enough that I notice it.

Actually it affects all Nexus S models. I think it is touch panel driver bug.

are you guys having these issues?

the notification led is constantly flashing green, i can't figure out how to turn it off. i don't know if its on for the signal or what, it flashes wether i have all the notifications on or off. when using the camera, every time the phone refocuses it makes a tick noise. also when i shake the phone i can hear something that moving around, and it sounds like its in the camera. after fully charging my phone for the first time it went to 99% and after taking it off the charger for 7 hours its still at 99%, which would be excellent if i didn't think it was lying to me.
Hopefully you didn't unlock the BLer and send that back for a new one...

i tried they ones in the store, all have the same issue, ah well i think the led going off constantly was because of juice defender or light flow or something i installed. restored the phone and not flashing anymore

Screen gets dead spots

Anyone had dead spots on their HOS?
On two different occasions, the screen stops working directly above the Homebutton and a reboot solves the problem..
But since it happened 2 time now, is my digitizer damaged or something?
Similar problem
I seem to have a similar problem where I get random dead spots on the screen. The problem happens more frequently with me with AOSP ROMs. Also, turning the screen on and off usually fixes it for me. I may have a bad digitizer, I'm not sure though.
I've had the same issue couple of times a while back.
edit
can't remember, but it might've been while using cm10 (only had it on for a few days).
Try downloading dead pixel fix from market it is really good fixing dead pixel
Download run the app and leave or phone for at least 6 hour with app running at maximum brightness
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Sorry, I didn't mean dead pixels, I meant the touch gets dead..something with the digitizer...
Dude I had a post about this before like i have to turn my screen off a lot cause it won't register my space bars during a text or the letter t and its really annoying but turning the screen off and on fixes it
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda app-developers app
I been having a similar issue usually made the center of the screen around the t y u Button's on the keyboard.
Started roughly after running cm10 might be a coincidence though

Try wiping off the screen and turning the phone off and on.
The first might help if it's a humidity issue, the 2nd might help if it's a grounding or static issue.
I don't have these issues but is it related to this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1679649
Touch Button Issue HTC One S
It's pretty much the opposite of that issue to the point where il be trying to get in the menu and my touch on the menu key doesn't do anything till I turn my screen off and on cause the bottom part of the screen is unresponsive... And I'm on stock no root

Yeah I had like 2 of em. Got them handled in service.

This!! I always have to do this once in awhile.
This only happens in aosp roms (dont know yed on aokp). It used to happen to me sometimes on cm10 but now I´ve been for a while on sense roms and didn´t happen anytime.
i agree with the above, ive only had this issue on cm10
I run into the same problem sometimes. It's most noticeable when using the keyboard but I've had it happen on another part of the screen. Like others have said turning off the screen then turning it back on always worked to fix it.
I was having this issue in CM9... Once I reverted back to Trickdroid 7.1, this issue no longer happens. So it sounds to me like it's related to the driver in CM9... I suspect that if I switch to CM10, the issue will still be there.

Red light of the proximity sensor remain active

Hi there!!
I don't know if this is a know thing anyway, on the right of the HTC logo there is the proximity sensor that shut down the display during a call. When it's on a you can see a red light from it. It should be turned on only during call. In the last days I have noted that the light remain always on even if I'm not doing a call. It turns off only if I taskiller all the process, but this stand only for 40 second as after this period of time the light reactivate itself again ( probably because some proces automatically restarts ) what can I do?? Is there somebody else who he's experiencing this too??

Do you have any apps for brightness management? I've experienced the same before and it was due to such app.
no..I use no app for that...
Have you tried to make another phone call and see if it switches off after hang up? Maybe in the last call it hasn't switched off for whatever reason/bug.
I noticed this, but after some digging I found out that Viber is causing this:

An updated version of viber is now out with fixed proximity sensor controller..no more bug

Good to see you've found the cause.
I also noticed this behaviour if you made a call and switched staight to loudspeaker without putting the phone to your ear. When the call was finished the sensor would remain active requiring a reboot of the phone to turn it off.
Seems to have been fixed with the 4.0.4 update
Same thing happened to me, except I don't have viber. Reboot fixed it.

I don't have viber and even after reboot, wipe cache/dalvic it still glows. HTC One S with Axiom ROM. this just started in the last week. I haven't downloaded any new apps though several have updated but I couldn't tell you which ones now. Trying to disable everything I can think of that would use the proximity sensor to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.
This happens to me whenever I'm using bluetooth, but what works for me is this:
Download "Proximity Sensor Finder" from the play store, open it up and wave your hand over the proximity sensor. Close the program and the red light goes away. It's faster that doing a reboot. This works for me and hopefully it works for others as well.
My problem was related with a bug inside viber, the app has been updated and the sensor start working good again

Does the issue get resolved after the JB update?

This is what I used and haven't had a problem since.
you could also try to install taskiller and kill everything, if the sensor stop being on it's related to a process that keep it active if not it's probably and hardware issue
Since we're talking about the proximity sensor, it shouldn't stay on during a call when the screen is manually turned off. On the Galaxy Note II the sensor turns off.

Having your vibration setting activated caused the proximity light to stay on.
