Just flashed it onto my 32B dream.. Everything works, and is fast and snappy as expected except for market.. I ran fix_permissions and rebooted, but market would not show any apps that would regularly show up (kittehface lwp, xda app, etc)
I removed
Code:
setprop dalvik.vm.verify-bytecode false
setprop dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags v=n,o=v
from build.prop, wiped data, and it fixed the problem. When I added these two lines to an AOSP rom I compiled for HD2 a while back, it would bug the build until I removed it and tested it again.

That's odd, I have been running the build on 32b sapphire and have not experienced any issues with market apps. If there are any other reports of the issue, I will remove them from the next release.
Thanks for the feedback, as this is an early release, there are probably going to be some issues that I have not encountered.
This looks promising. I wonder how it is compared to Froyo by Lazslo or DREAMteam Froyo.
Does this ROM use the AOSP Dialer or the CM Dialer? I prefer the CM dialer because it has the dilaer icon next to each contact that has a phone number and the AOSP doesn't (Have to long press to make a phone call :-( )

The rom comes with the AOSP dialer; however, I typically do not include that when I build for myself and instead build with exDialer (touchpal contacts is also good). I can include whichever dialer people feel comfortable with, as long as the developer allows doing so; I personally don't like the regular dialer at all.
maybe add aroma installer, people can choose what they like?

That is something I will probably consider for a future release; currently, I just wanted to get out what I have so I can get some feedback and see if there is any interest.
Awesome ROM
This ROM is awesome! It´s exactly what i was waiting for! thank you dude!
Whats this rom like compared to FroyoByLaszlo or DreamTeam?
I don't see languages other than en,de,es,fr and it. It's possible to add all languages? Or just Czech 'cs' ?
And if you are using linaro, did you tested some patches like memset/memcpy? I have Kindle Fire with Linaro patched and compiled ICS, it's faster, in some benchmarks it has 2x faster memory operations.
thanks for this new rom ryree
there's something wrong when playing Youtube, both in browser and official app. its choppy and has a loud hiss every 2 seconds...

Yes, I am having this aswell. Infact barely any apps are showing for me.
How did you do what your saying, do I enter those codes in terminal or something?
Very smooth, but really ...
Install the Media folder, as there is included in the system, and therefore had no sound .... correct??
Thanks to Google translator ....
I have yet to try this soon.
You should add AROMA with many options. It would be the perfect Froyo ROM!
Download Links does not work (for me).
Any reupload possible?
Download worked fine for me.
This. ROM. is. awesome.
It's like Project Butter on Froyo
What MTD sizes would you recommend?

Changelog: AndroidMobSquad-v0.3 built off of RC3
-Stuff removed: (removed to free up memory): amazon, rom manager, google voice (download from market and install on external storage if you choose to), and lot's of ringtones (If your favorite ringtone is gone, let us know which one or ones, and we will add it back in.)
-Stuff added: Bootanimation, Htc Launcher, 14 wallpapers, black keyboard, and custom theme.
Instructions:
-Full wipe before flash. Flash rom and then gapps. We added our own gapps with some things themed like the browser quick search box, and the genie widget. So please feel free to install these worry free.

-Download the xml file and place it on the root of your sdcard. Then go to CyanogenMod settings > User interface > Tweaks extras, then select Import colors to XML
XML Download: http://drop.io/zlfn7ih
-We recommend downloading or installing SetCpu to overclock to 576mhz. If you wish to overclock higher, download dumfuqs kernel and flash in recovery. A good and stable speed is 595mhz max. You must set up SetCpu first before flashing this kernel and select set on boot, otherwise it won't work.:
Download from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?b7v09yej45we844
Update: If you want appstoext partition, you can download Firerat's patch. Many people have added it to their roms, but there may be issues in doing this as opposed to running the patch from your sdcard. I like to use compcache. Follow the instructions on his page, and run only the commands from the script that you need. The Facebook sync patch is not needed any more, this has been fixed.
Firerat's page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=679572
-Set CM Settings > Performance to "disable surface dithering", "lock home in memory", enable "JIT", enable CompCache. Your phone will probably reboot once you enable compcache, so make sure you have anything else you want checked before enabling compcache.
Looks good. Who's rom is it based on? It looks similar to htclay's Superfly.
eh, it looks like the same only.. edited it. We didnt want to copy someone else's work if you know what i mean

yeah I think he messaged a moderator about it to remove the other threads
testing the ROM since the past day
all things are going great untill the compcache dumped me i turned it off and enabled swap by firerat patch 138b, things are again going great now
one I want "Old Phone" and "Digital Phone" Ring tones back
2nd is that the keyboard is a too contrast in coloring... it is having strain on eyes... specially in low light conditions... so i would like the colors of the keyboard to be a bit to the duller side ... may be inspired by the original keyboard
3rd i would recomend to try use swap instead of compcache if some programs are shutting down due to low memory
which way to app2sd? ext or fat?
"If you want appstoext partition, you can download Firerat's patch."
Sounds like ext and not fat....
Seems more like if you want Apps2sd on FAT just use this ROM as it is, if you want them on EXT apply Firerats Patch.

Basically yes. I'm pretty sure that apps2ext partition is on cyanogenmod's list of things for do for 6.1.0, which should be coming soon. As far as 6.0.0 goes, apps2ext is not one of the options.
thank you
amazing rom only thing can u add htc hero widgets like calender weather.
Theming someone else's hard work and calling it a ROM is asinine.
Why don't you just put a metamorph theme up in the Theme section and call it a day.

Well for one, the framework would not run properly at first on rc3, so I had to recompile the framework-res.apk. and second I added all the themed icons in seperatly. As far as the launcher icon goes, we are planning on changing that on the next version. So please tell me one thing in this rom that was already a metamorph theme for rc3.
I'm saying why don't you just make this a metamorph theme instead of calling it a full fledged rom when it's clearly just CM6 all dolled up.
Sent from my HTC Magic using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
well what we are trying to mean is that we had to edit the theme and recompile it so it would run fine on the rom. I know it looks like it would be easier to just make a full theme for the rom but i don't know exactly.
The ROM is running great on my phone but I have a slight problem - when I try to run my browser, the phone will shut off and takes a couple minutes to restart. I tried wiping and flashing the ROM again and keep running into the problem. Any suggestions?

Savaged-Zen ROM is an AOSP project based on Google's AOSP Gingerbread (Android 2.3.4). We have incorporated some popular tweaks from other AOSP ROMs, as well as added a bunch of our own.
The main focus on this, it to make a lightweight. FAST ROM that is specifically designed to work perfectly with our Kernel. Right now, we are tweaking the ROM and adding our own custom features that you won't find anywhere else.

The repo is ready to be worked on. It wont build yet because we have a few things from cm which are a little diffrent than stock Aosp. Once we get those gaps closed nightly builds will start rolling out to our donators as promised but if we built it right now the only thing you would get is a core Aosp Rom with our kernel

I get asked a lot "why don't you just create a theme" and here is my reasoning:
When I make a ROM I take all the apk files and zipalign them. I also run most of the apks through a PNG optimizer. If I take all the apks and throw them into a theme essentially you have most of the ROM. Plus I add and remove applications. So for me its best to just put out the entire ROM. Themes are great but they do not optimize the entire ROM which is what I try to do. So I hope this clears up my reasoning for doing ROMs instead of themes.
Some people report they can't get a lock on GPS with CM. This is a "fix" many have reported in various forums to work:
1 - Go to the Market and download the app: MSL Reader (not necessary if you have your MSL)
2 - Use this app to get your MSL # (mine was six digits)
3 - Download this rom and put it on your SD card root
4 - Do a nandroid backup of the CM rom you have loaded (if you do).
5 - One backup is done, wipe phone and flash to any Sense ROM. No need to do any set-ups, etc. Once it has loaded...
6 - Launch phone dialer and dial ##GPSCLRX# (##4772579#)
4 - Enter your MSL Number when asked
5 - Your phone will automatically reboot in 10 seconds
6 - After you're rebooted back into the Sense rom, go into recovery and restore your CM backup
7 - Hopefully this fixed your GPS!
THANKS Vegasdenn
I haven't tried a non-sense ROM yet....looks like yours may be the first

It veries from dev to dev some have more skill than others so idk it depends on what zone did compared to cy. Check it out n see what u get from it. Zone is a good dev so i give him lots of props for jumping into crazy turf lol. This should be good to roll as rc2 was a awsome release by cm.

I'm gonna go ahead and chime in on this one.
The GPS does not show a icon in the notification bar like you are used to. The GPS does not need a continuously lock on the satellites while you sitting around the house. You should notice if you go into "Car Home" the GPS icon will appear and start to flash. Periodically the GPS should connect and find your location.
At least this is my understanding of how GPS works in Gingerbread. I may be wrong.
Maybe what CM should do is make the icon appear regardless of whether the GPS is actually doing something or not. Like all other ROMs do.

The difference in this and the CM stock ROM is I have change things like the check marks, the color to blue, the pop up menus, the wait animation, and the list goes on and on. Yes its an AOSP but in my opinion with everything I have changed it is very hard to tell. It looks like a Sense ROM but it isn't. Maybe I should put that in my first post.
Ive never ran an aosp rom yet but ive been hooked on all you roms so far so im thinking ill give it a go and try something new. I like the look of the riptide version with the wifi, and battery icons from the pure so i might try swapping them into the rip version. Are the difference between rip and pure just cosmetic?

Redux is a custom ROM, built with three key aspects in mind: Clean, fast, stable.
Features:
This second version focuses on users' needs and experience; it tries to bring useful features to our phones that have a place in our day-to-day usage models. Current implemented features are as follows:
FM radio support;
Built-in FTP server functionality, so there's no need for a cable when transferring files;
Multitasking panel, with quick access to common settings and multimedia controls.
Smaller additions include:
Trackball wake
Lockscreen music controls
Playback control via the volume keys
Killing the foreground application by long-pressing BACK
LED notifications improvements
Option to turn overscroll glow off
Supports small /cache partitions
LITE build supports small /system partitions (as small as 75MB with the LITE build)
Source code:
The source code isn't yet available, though I will release it at some point in the future, after it gets settled.
Requirements:
Amon-RA or ClockworkMod recovery to flash the image
Installation:
Flash the .zip file from recovery. If coming from another ROM, erase /data and /cache partitions.
Download:
Redux2-31.08-TEST.zip (md5: a27c14e6dd0fb90e8c54ef1c392e198b)

Read the FAQ below to learn how you can involve in the Redux project.
FAQ:
Q: I've installed it, what now?
A: Enjoy your Desire. Redux comes fully equipped and most usual tasks can be accomplished with the stock apps and settings. Google applications such as Gmail, Maps or Youtube are included as well.
Q: Is this compatible with Oxygen's HBOOT r1 partitioning scheme?
A: Only the LITE builds.
Q: Is this compatible with Oxygen's HBOOT r2 partitioning scheme?
A: Yes, all builds.
Q: I thought this ROM had A2SD. Why isn't there enough space on my phone?
A: Apps are being moved to the ext partition on the card but dalvik-cache is eating up a lot of space. If you can't live with this, download the 'apps_dalvik2ext' script from the add-ons section in the first post. Flash that like a regular update .zip (warning: the .zip isn't signed) and you should have more space on your /data partition.
Q: What about these test builds?
A: These are perfectly stable for daily-use but bugs may appear from time to time since the development speed is quite high. Also, more features are planned for the final versions so there's no need to name things as "final" for no reason. What's the rush?
Q: Will this feature be included in the next release? Please!
A: Having many features is far from this project's purpose. I am going to focus on adding only useful features and ignore stuff like "dude, but I want to have glowing stars on my display!". If you think you have something in mind, you're more than welcome to share your thoughts in this thread and I'll consider it.
Q: What can I do to help? Can I join the team?
A: You can improve Redux at any time, mainly with translations. A guide will be posted in the near future.
Q: Where's the donate button?
A: Look in my signature. Donations are welcome in a humble way; I am not developing this ROM for your money, but for my own pleasure. It started out as a personal project but it has grown on me and I continue to develop Redux even if I no longer have an HTC Desire.
Very nice! Good job!
edit: just wondering if thats the full changelog?
This is not the final version, and as such the feature list will grow in time. I just considered it's better to move the discussion about Redux2 in a separate thread, and leave the old one free for anyone who still uses Redux 1.2 and encounters an issue, needs advice, etc.
Sweet as, Will be looking forward to more updates in the future. Ok if i create redux twitter page? bored
Hi
i am new with your rom i install v1.2 yesterday
if i flash new version without backup should i lose any data or program
also i download the 'apps_dalvik2ext' script in v1.2 should i install it again
I'd guess it'll be ok.
Great!
Thanks for continuation.
Going to try.
Wait for the sources.
I was just testing Cm 7.1 and found to be quite good. But very bloated with features here and there (not to mention bad battery). But i did find a couple of upsides to it.
Music app looked much nicer. Maybe you could theme original, or some how incorporate cm's one. I tried replacing it by pushing cm's to system/app but it didn't work.
The Dsp manager is a neat app too. But then again we can all just push it if we want to all in all great rom!
I had just perfected my customization for test build2 mentioned in 1.2 page and you release this new build.
Why did you make it so tempting ?
Now I'll have to fight the urge to reflash it Today itself.
Damm it !!
Wish you had released on a Friday/ Saturday.
Jokes apart , thanks for this release.
Surely it will be nice. Will try to test it ASAP.
Getting the new build right now. Stoked.

- one information: i had swiftp installed. but now it disappeared from the app list. saw it's installed as a system app. not a big thing
Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 with tweaks and stuff
Sorry for stealing the banner, I just couldnt' resist
Features list
In this thread we can discuss the ROM, share impressions and screenshots and so on, but please, report bugs on Github.
Important HBOOT note
AOKP works on Data++ HBOOT as of now, but I do not officially support it, so it might just exceed 180MB one day, and I will not publicly announce it because I honestly don't care. So please, stick to stock or custom HBOOT and make sure you have enough space on /system before flashing.
Download
All versions on min.us: http://minus.com/mbTSqS0sK
GApps (from RootzWiki/goo-inside): http://wiki.rootzwiki.com/Google_Apps#Ice_Cream_Sandwich_.28Android_4.x.29
Recommended A2SD script: mounts2sd 2.2.6 http://www.cxsr.eu/pubftp/index.php?dir=m2sd/
Do not use amarullz's data2sdx script. It causes bootloops with the way init.d scripts are handled in AOKP.
Flash ROM, then GApps (best without rebooting).
Switching from Sandvold's rom/CM9 could work without data wipe, but don't blame me when it crashes. Or just backup and restore.

There's no script in the ROM. Flash something, e.g. mounts2sd.

Hi K900,
preston74 has already merged the DesireHD build from the VirtuousQuattro Team with Sandvolds Rom.
He shared it with me and I modified it for my needs, because I don't need the "Any Hboot" installer script from Miui-Au and I don't like, when an sd-ext partition is used by default.
So mine is a pure CM7r2 Rom.
I know you are building your Rom from source.
But I thought, I share it with you so you maybe you like to compare some stuff and fix some things faster on your build.

Known Bug
Some apps from market are installed to sdcard by default, because it's pre defined in the AndroidManifest.xml of the app.
No problem so far, the apps are working, but as soon as you open the app manager, your phone takes a soft reboot.
If you move these apps back to internal storage with titanium backup, everything works fine again.
And I can't find a way to fix it.
Any suggestions...?
Important note
If anyone else use this Rom - don't report back in this thread. This is not an officially Rom.

I already have ideas on fixing stuff and this will hardly help because it is Evervolv base + AOKP framework and I use AOKP base.
