i have sensation XE stuck on 'hTC' logo ...
my phone info :
bootloader : 1.27
S-ON
unlocked
cid : 044
also i have recovery in it .
what can i do with such problem ?
What have you have you done to the phone, unlock boot loader, root, etc. You might of flash a ics Rom while on gingerbread firmware. If so install 3.32 or 3.33 firmware. I cannot post the link because I'm on my phone so use the search bar! If you have already done this and installed a rom you m just flash the boot.img from adb or flash the rom with 4ext and use smartflash
P.s this is posted in the wrong section it should be posted in the Q & A new. And it would be wise to super cid so you won't have any firmware issues.

well ... tnx for replay but my XE has ICS ROM in it and i couldnt find ICS ROM for that cid 044 .
Did you flash the boot.IMG or install 4ext as your recovery and use smart flash? Because if you use the dev method to unlock you must flash the boot.IMG through adb or use 4ext smart flash so it does it for you. If your going the 4ext way you must re flash the ROM.

I went back to stock GB then updated OTA I have locked hboot and 1.27 hboot but still s-off though. And I returned to stock ciD HTC__044 I'm previously supercid. I prefer to stay with my current CID while flashing Roms is it possible?

U must ulter Super CID ETC AGAIN
Can I rather download ROM Manager and install CWM from there? Or do I need to put PG5IMG to Root SD Card then Update from the Bootloader? Or either ways will work?
Currently I'm S-OFF with Locked Bootloader. Do I need to Root First? or CWM then Root?

i'd rather unlock the bootloader and install 4ext recovery through adb/fastboot. 4ext cause i see u are ARHD rom user and flash through fastboot cause it seems easier to me and i never liked ROM Manager app, CWM recovery yes, i use it on my samsung and its great tool as well.
im not sure u can replace stock recovery if bootloader is locked...
edit: u dont have to Super CID no matter what. u can install custom ROM's even with current CID, just pay attention to the version of firmware u install along with the ROM.
Do I need to install the Unlocked 3.32 firmware first? Before I install 4EXT?
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e
Don't need the FW if you're already on ICS, just need to flash 4EXT via a PG58IMG.zip and flash the ROM
Just to give another option/way I use following method to Unlocked and Root my Sensation XE since it been S-OFF. Just give some idea.
1. Unlocked the phone using htcdev.com account since no other's method seem possible right now. But if you device already unlock you do not have to do this.
Go to hTCDEV register, click "Unlock Bootloader" and follow the instruction.
2. Install custom recovery, since htc recovery won't flash/install flashble zip correctly. For this I use "Android Recovery Manager". Reboot the phone after unlocked process. Connect the phone with usb cable. Open the Android Recovery Manager > Start > ** Download a recovery ** > HTC Sensation > ClockWorkMod 5.0.2.0 (Pyramid) > follow the instruction on the software. If stuck when device reboot to flash hboot but not yet flash it because can recognised the FASTBOOT(Android Recovery Manager waiting for FASTBOOT). Take out battery, reconnect usb and boot to FASSBOOT.
3. Flash the supersu, as the Android Recovery Manager finish flash the ClockWorkMod you have to install Superuser-3.0.7-d-signed.zip. If fail retry flash 2-3 times, but I am just done 1 time, before on GB I flash two time because fail at 1st time. And now you rooted and reboot your phone.
Try at your own risk.
Summary :
Download Android Recovery Manager and Superuser-3.0.7-d-signed.zip, place the Superuser-3.0.7-d-signed.zip on sdcard. Unlock the phone on htcdev.com, install custom recovery with Android Recovery Manager and flash the supersuser.
* use Superuser version 3.0.7 because the lower version won't support ICS. Use link given and download the right version.
I am using this method on Sensation XE, so try at your own risk. I will not responsible to anything happen. And please do make sure you backup your device first.
# Just hit the thanks button so other's and I will know this method also work for you ;p

About flashing the rom. Since im back to htc_044 and not supercid. Will arhd boot still?
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e
Yep, CID has no bearing on custom ROMs. Only on receiving OTAs from HTC
What do i need to do if i want flash ordroid sende 4 ROM? Iam unlocked but s-on . I have arhd ROM cause its only One working. I came from Sgs+ , flashing was so much easier with that phone.

Welcome to the Sensation forums.
Have a look at this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1472298
When you get to the flashing part just flash the Sense 4.0 ROM instead of ARHD mentioned.

Also remember too if you are using 4EXT Recovery to go into tools in the recovery and enable 4EXT SmartFlash so your boot.img will get flashed. Or if you are not using 4EXT Recovery remember you have to flash the boot.img of the ROM you want to use via fastboot commands.
hello,
i have rooted my sensation (EU).. it is unlocked bootloader with s-on and hboot 1.27.0000 and when i tried to install unofficial ROM it instaled via recovery but freezes when it reboots from recovery...
and now i cant use my phone and i dont know how to unsolve the problem...
please help
Did you download 4ext recovery and enable smart flash ? Did you download the required 3.32 firmware?
I believe s on requires smart flash each time you flash a Rom. Also 4ext recovery is needed. Hope this helps, I'm s off so I flash a bit different than you but I believe this will help you.

follow this guide to the letter then flash the rom again ....(for all adb commands in the guide you can skip them ..as you cant boot now ...and the adb commands are used only to take the phone to bootloader ..which you can do it manually)
or to come out of the stuck screen first
try the extra 1 step present in the above guide

What did you do that it got stuck on hboot or do you mean HTC boot logo
If it's HTC boot logo then there are 2 ways first it is with the ruu and the other is unlock your bootloader on htcdev website and flash custom recovery , in your case with s-on I suggest 4ext recovery with smart flash enabled and just flash a custom Rom with 4ext
S-ON
Vipers 1.6.3
4ext recovery
turbo boost cache swap
Sultan Kernel r14.5
any more idea ? best way if someone help find stock ruu mor my firmware and radio,or how to change my firmware, radio with s-on .thanks.
help please... :crying:

Try downgrade your firmware by flashingan older firmware to your mobile from the bootloader/fastboot. After that try to run the ruu that you tried before. You can find all the old (and new firmwares here

you can't S-OFF in fastboot mode

if you have recovery installed(if not i suggest 4ext because you are S-ON)
flash the stock rom from it(but first enable smartflash from recovery)
then follow the S-OFF procedure

My HBOOT version is 1.27. For some reason I can't seem to successfully get passed installing the required stock Sense ROM that Juopunutbear requires. Is there any other possible way for to S-OFF if I am on a Kit Kat ROM? Any tools that can S-OFF?
Forgot to add that I am HTC Dev unlocked.

No you need to relock your bootloader to flash RUU , but don't worry after you s-off you will flash 3.33 firmware and that will ulock you bootloader and after that flash recovery and do what you wanna do..
Btw why do you need to s-off?

You can't flash a custom firmware while s-on (it's the reason htc named this state s-on). There's simply no way unless you can pull off JTAG and sh**.
You can get 3.33.xxx.xxx via RUU (only after locking bootloader), but you can't flash 3.33 universal otherwise. If you want to switch carriers, you gotta s-off man.
you can also use the flashable stock rom to install it from recovery

by the way what recovery do you have and why you can't flash the stock rom?
