You can always try AOKP roms where there is navigation bar available. It will be useful till you get your phone repaired. I had problems with those buttons (they weren't responding) so i installed an AOKP and activated nav bar option in it.
Here is one of the kind

Don't worry, this software nav bar is very customizable.
Thank if you find this helpful

[Q] Soft key backlighting CM10.1

Hi All,
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, please forgive me!
I've searched the forum too.
I'm running CM10.1, 1/12/13
I could have sworn I stumbled upon a setting to turn off the backlighting for the soft keys (back and menu), maybe it even turned off the backlight for the phyisical button too, but I don't know.
Anyway, I can't find that menu now, am I dreaming that I saw that before? Can anyone tell me how to find it?
Thanks,
M
P.S. the low audio when video recording seems to be fixed, to me at least--love this CM!
In settings in the device section click on advanced it's under sensors
Ahh, thank you!
