kernel problem.
Flash this or any one of these. I personally use DJNoXD's kernel, v2.5.2-ta-vsyncOff-signed

You are lucky enough to know that you have reboots on incoming calls, many don't..........CM7.2 is buggy!
Change the ROM or try changing Kernel as 'nextdoorboy' says.

Thank you really very much, now I updated my kernel to 2.6.35.14,so the problem of camera crash and rebooting is likely to solved ..

Some times the frequency of your cpu are the cause of all that crashes and force closing and stuff like that...dont set your max frequency too hi.

I had on different nightlies and stables. Strange but after flashing froyo -> 7.1 stable (first from CM 7 guys) and after quarxs nightlies and it was ok. you might try it
or just try wiping...
I had the same problem, but never bothered to see why is this happening. I've freezed DSP, i do not need it.

[Q] Sky Ice Cream Sandwich Question

Ok, so I've flashed the Sky Ice Cream Sandwich rom, seen here --> Link to thread in developer forum , and I have a question that might sound incredibly stupid.
Does this rom have voice recognition functioning? My stock rom had it, and now that I've updated my ICS keyboard in Market, I can see the button for it on the keyboard, but when I press it, it just shows the microphone with a red line through it, like it's preparing and....never goes anywhere.
Again, possibly a reeeeeally stupid question, but I couldn't find mention of it anywhere.
Aside from that, loving the rom. It's awesome.
I have installed the skyics rom, but i don't have any issue on it. MY voice recognition function work perfect. Well you can try to redownload the rom, and reflash it?
Can I use Dag Kernel with this rom? Thanks!
Of course you can Da_G is best at developing kernel. And his kernel is beast. I m running his kernel and ice cream rom

As far as voice recognition, make sure you have voice search installed. If you do try reinstalling it.

Download rom manager
Fix permissions with it. Then click menu settings application. Manage applications. Find market. Click it. Then clear data.

Are random reboots resolved in CM?

I'm getting frustrated with the daily random reboots of my G2x running stock gingerbread. Does CM 7.2 resolve this? I've been holding off waiting for the official ICS to release so I can install CM10 but I'm getting impatient... Also, do I have to reinstall all my apps, and is my data erased?
Thanks!
I don't think random reboots will ever be solved 100% for this phone. However comparing stock 7.2CM vs other Roms I've used for the G2X, it has been the most reliable and stable for me. The phone still crashes or reboots once every 2-3 days for me usually, when I'm running cpu/gpu intensive apps but almost never when its idle.

No, I haven't yet. I think that i will sometime this weekend. Are there any good guides that I can follow? The one that is stickied says that it is outdated. I am running the latest baseband and software.
Just installed cm 7.2 with faux kernel 52... we'll see how this goes

Random freezes JellyTime R21

I keep getting random freezes with R21 of Jelly Time.
I did a clean install so it can't be an issue with previous build files messing up this build. I haven't had any such problem with any previous build.
The freezing happens at random, sometimes when I am unlocking the phone but also happens when the phone is doing nothing. The buttons will all light up and then nothing works. It is particularly an issue for me as my volume button is broken so I can't restart the phone though the safe method, I have to pul the battery out.
Does anyone else have the same issue or give any advice as to how to fix the issue?
My desire S is:
S-Off
Hboot 7
The radio is the one from the HTC ICS release
JellyTime R21
The stock kernel for R21
No changes made to any of the system files

Is that ROM set up with tweaks for underclocking and undervoltage? If so then it may be your device is too susceptible to undervolting - so try to change it by decreasing the undervoltage by 0.25V or 0.5V.

Thanks for the advice, there's no option to under volt so I don't think that's included in the ROM.

[Q] Problems with clock

I have rooted pico with cm10 and pandora kernel and here is the problem: When phone is idling it doesn't update clock (or at least doesn't do it often enough). This tends to be problematic because I use my phone as an alarmclock. So if I set alarm it usually rings when I next time use the phone when that time has passed or like 30mins late. Any ideas how to solve this?
clock problem
same problem is with me
but i installed 4.2 rom clock in 4.1, it solved the issue

Okay I did this, (I set permissions to rw-r--r-- is that correct?) and rebooted but now when I open clock it just says that unfortunately clock has stopped.
Edit.
Never mind... Wiping app data solved that. Now I just has to wait and see if it works.
It seems that it didn't solve the problem for me. Any other ideas?
