Hey could you recommend me a way (an app, what to look for, etc.) to analyze battery drain. I switched from ARHD to CM9 and battery drain is very high even with less clock than ARHD and batt. saving governor. So what should I look at to find the reason for this battery drain the build in battery statistics app doesn't help much.
there is a part in ARHD thread about battery problem, under FAQ

Hi I flashed the RCMixHD ROM v 3.5 A2SD+ version to my Desire together with the circular battery mod (the file UOT-03-13-18-35-1.zip), and found a very bad battery life, battery died in 4 - 5 hours of idle, and it showed that Android OS was using most of the Battery. I then tried to copy the original framework-res.apk over in recovery mode, and voila, the battery life came back to an acceptable level.
It is nice to be able to see the battery life in percent; but if doing so is eating all my battery, it is not worth it. so the framework-res.apk in UOT-03-13-18-35-1.zip is obviously very bad, i did have a circular battery icon with percentage with my previous ROM, without that side effect. So I guess I need to build my own APK for this.
get circle battery the best one and in my opinion it doesn't eats the battery at all
My battery level indicator displays a higher battery level after rebooting. With an app (Battery Indicator) which is translating level in %, its about 10%.
Rebooting in recovery is also resulting in an higher level, also about 10%.
I'm using Insertcoin 3.4.2 with 2.6.35.14Brickedv1.5 kernel.
Has the custom rom or kernel something to do with displaying inaccurate battery level stats or is this something normal?
Keeping rebooting doesn't deliver me a full charge btw, now that would be something nice
I have somewhat of a similar problem.
I use hyper non-sense 0.5 and today my cell wouldn't charge beyond 99%. I rebooted and only had 92% .
I wiped batterystats before rom flash..
Maybe these issues are somewhat related?
It's known that the battery reporting driver is **** and bugged.
Also, if you reboot, you'll get messed up battery reports than if you power off then back on.

Only wipe battery stats when your battery is charge to 100%

Ok, thanks for the advice. Good to know not to be too much confident on the battery indicator.
Have found another threads about the battery stats and the behaviour of li-ion batteries also (the search button was gone for a few days, but back at the moment ), reading already...
I have installed ics stock rom now and i hate the battery percentage because our tablet drain to much battery in an hour and the battery percentage annoyed me, so please can somebody help me remove the battery percentage?
I seriously doubt it's the battery percentage that drains your battery. In standby, my p6200 takes about 6hours to reduce the 99% to 98% and I take quick looks at messages, between that time.
Guys I've recently installed xposed installer and from then am facing serious battery issues... My battery doesn't even last one day... Precisely 12hrs...in battery management it shows android system is using 60%-70%...can anyone tell me is it because xposed or any other app is creating a nuisance... Stamina mode also doesn't extend battery life.... Any solution.?
Earlier I used to get 2days of battery life with moderate use.. Now without usage itself the battery drains severely.. When I started typing this post my battery was 28%and now it has reached 19%in just 5 mins... Installed snapdragon battery guru but it's still in learning mode...these are the packages in system... Is everything right with it or is it the real culprit in battery drain
Is it me or when screen is off this phone still drain noticable amount of battery like 5% in 3:30hrs. P. S. No app is running in background. The battery usage shows xiaomi service framework and google taking 20% of battery total.
Edit : just saw on standby mode - radio battery drain is using up my battery, any fix for this?
I was also getting a 7 - 8% overnight battery drain which was unacceptable, however, I used the adb debloat tools to remove most of the shady systen apps that xiaomi pre-installs on the device and after that the drain doesn't happen at all. My phone sleeps like a baby with only 1 - 2 % drain overnight.

Is there a way to determine which miui tools are the ones draining the battery?
