HTC HD7 MANUAL TANGO problem - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys i have a problem with my HTC HD7...i install the 8112 update then 8773 with languages ( from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27960331&postcount=929 ) but without a backup ... "C:/ no space" and all goes right.. but when the phone was on the start screen and go to settings: "wifi, emails+accounts, messaging, about phone" - doesn't work
I tried to install O2-DE ROM's ( from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1000467 ) and i get the [226] error - flash write , i tried to install a DFT ROM but SPL-5x.. and doesn't support it... please guys i am new in ROM's and stuff's and i am really desperate and don't know what to do to fix my phone.. if you can send me a good custom ROM or someone who fixed the [266] error please help.. and just in case if someone has a mango BACKUP and it can be send... via link that would be awesome
Thanx
Sorry for bad english.

Why did you start a new thread for this? This should be part of the CAB Update thread.
Your problem is very obvious if you just read the instructions for CAB updating. You needed to send the language packs along with your OS update. Language packs are in their own CAB files, but can be sent at the same time as the update CAB. There are instructions for figuring out which ones you need to send.
You're messing with things here that can really screw up your phone, much worse than it is now. *ALWAYS* read the instructions first. Read what problems others have had, and how they fixed them. Follow the steps, don't cut corners.
That said, if you really want to install a custom ROM, this is possible. You'll need a GoldCard, which is to say a USB Mass Storage device like a SD card or a flashdrive with a special file on it, plus some way to connect it directly to your phone and power the device at the same time (typically a USB Y-cable). There are full instructions, with links to parts and pictures of how to set it up, available on this forum. That will let you downgrade your bootloader version so you can install HSPL.

Phone status: Updated
Problem solved, finally i upgraded my HTC HD7 to 8773 by reinstall the 8112, 8773 again +languages and it worked
-So for those who think that their phones are lost (Walshed) repeat this step 1-2 times

[solved] Palm 750 wm6 speedup options

Hi all, im new here in terms of posting but have been reading for a while now.
I have a Plam Treo 750 vodafone which is unlocked. I installed vodafone wm6 update on it a month ago... but since then i've stopped using the phone due to this:
I'm used to fast systems such as my linux desktop and i was really frustrated how the wm6 interface is slow. Even with few progs installed the phone gets very sluggish and hanging up calls even takes time.
Now here's my question:
Is there any way to speedup WM6 ? or install a custom WM6 that is faster ?
I tried Rest of the World wm6 ROM but it wouldn't install on my phone when i opened the installer it would say not compatible.
Would this speedup my phone ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=345748
What should i do... i really love the phone and its features... but i just want wm6 to run faster so that the phone is usable.
thanks

Got it right mate! Nice research!
can anyone please help me install "WM6 AKU0.7.0 WWE Cooked ROM Lite"...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=345748
I've never done something like this before and have no idea how to begin.. I can't find any guides only random text throughout the posts so i don't know what applies to me and what doesn't. I'm really worried about damaging my phone by doing something stupid.
My Phone:
750v from vodafone UK with vodafone wm6... but it was unlocked by previous owner... since i can use it on other phone providers in other countries. I have usb cable and 1Gig microSD.
The installation notes of the rom say i need to install Hard-SPL then flash radio then flash OS. Now for Hard-SPL do i need to install it if my phone is unlocked because i read some confusing posts there... then what is a radio flash do i need to do that ? how does it affect radio...
then after that i need KaiserCustomRUU.exe to flash the rom... i only found a post about CustomRUU with "RUUWrapper.zip" is that the same thing... sorry but i'm really confused and need someone to guide me through the process for my first time if possible.
You are ready to go. Download the ROM from Chaimd on the 750 Upgrading thread, rename it to CHEEIMG.nbh (the ROM file name the 750 expects to see) and copy it to the root of your miniSD card.
Insert the miniSD card, hold down the bottom right button on the side while you do a reset and the bootloader will start. And away you go.
Make sure you backup (backup program is best) all your data - it starts you out with fresh device and default settings. ROM works perfectly - fast and lots of extra storage.

Thanks txzman for the info. But just to be sure i understand... you're saying i don't need to install Hard-SPL from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334100&page=1
Nor do i need to flash the radio ?
UPDATE:
ok i didn't install Hard-SPL or flash the radio.
I tried to install the rom straight away... i put the ROM on my memory card root and renamed it, then did the reset with sidebutton...and i got to the wierd colors screen and nothing happenes after that.
It says on the screen:
Palm Tr
IPL-0.20
Palm Tr
SPL-0.24.0000
In the end nothing happens... this method doesnt work. i tried using KaiserRUU.exe update method but also that doesn't work it gives me and "Error [260]: Connection" even though activesync is connected... please tell me what i can do to install this rom.
i posted the question in the thread for the cooked rom. i guess this is not the right place to ask thus no one is replying.
sd needs to be formatted fat32 - re-format card to fat32, re-copy cheeimg and try again. Google or search here for the available formatting apps.
INSTALL HARD-SPL FIRST....
i can't stress this enough...

If your Palm Treo is unlocked, you still need to install Hard SPL but just run step 1 and ignore step 2 & 3. This will allow you to flash your Treo with ROM's other than your provider as well as modified/cooked ROM's like the one made by Chaimd.

Best ROM for my Hero?

Hi guys,
am new to this whole rooting/ROM updating thing.
Would appreciate if someone could guide me to a good ROM for my HERO (currently running stock 1.5)...its an Eastern/Central European version (i.e. has language for Czech, Hungary, Poland etc) and has no market place.
Basically the ROM I am looking for should:
Give market ability
Android 2.1
Fast to use
Give a better/more practical contacts selection option...i.e. the fastest way to select contacts (bypassing having to go through multiple screens!)
Be generally cool and not make me want to buy a new android phone for the next few month!
would also appreciate instructions (or link to) for how to update the ROM.
thanks!
Raidroid seems happiest on my hero from the handful I tried so far
-------------------------------------
Sent via the XDA Tapatalk App
do you have a link where I can get it from (including instructions)?
thanks
I installed Fresh 2.1.2 a few days ago and am loving it! Looks slick and is fast.
I think in terms of speed, any of the 2.1 roms are great when the hero is overclocked (OC).
I had been using BeHero 1.2+ before the OC patch came out and it was occasionaly sluggish but after I applied the OC patch it is perfect now. LAGLESS
what i really need are links where i can download these things from...from whatever i've found, it seems to be through rapidshare.com which doesn't work...
Latest raidroid is here: http://www.multiupload.com/C54GAT6DLJ
thanks! finally found a site from your link that lets me d/load
Glad to be of assistance, is what we're all here for after all
Whatever ROM you install, I recommend that you install SpellDial to search for your contacts (it is free).
It gives you a T9-style search of your contacts. Type in the name on its telephone keypad and the you will usually get your contact listed within 3 to 4 key presses.
SenseUI already does this.

hello again
now that I finally downloaded this, I don't know how to install it!...
I have an unbranded Hero (i.e. not locked to any network)... do I still need to root my phone first etc?
where can I get instructions on how to install the ROM?
many thanks!

yup...you need root access to install ROMs. Google Search on how to unlock your version of the HERO. Good Luck!
What he said.
Google 'how to root HTC hero'
Basically:
allow 3rd party installs, dl and copy the Rom zipfile, flash backup/loading tool and the recovery image to SD, install the tool, run it, backup, then flash the recovery bin to the phone, power off, power back on holding home and power until the green on black text recovery screen comes up, wipe all, then flash from SD and select the raidroid zip
Will take a few mins to flash and reboot, reboot will take a bit longer than usual but that's it in a nutshell.
Good luck ...
ok.. so the day started off with trying to root my hero with the 'one click' unlocker...
finally d/loaded the program, ran it but it somehow couldn't find my android phone (on Win 7)...
wasted a couple of hours on above, then tried it on a WinXP machine... found phone no problem, ran the one-click unlocker and got an error while trying to 'update' (i.e. downgrade ROM)...
so then thought I'd give the 'goldcard method' a go...
followed instructions to the letter...got as far as trying to write the image on the SD card till when I pressed save (on the hex editor) and it gave me a 'cyclic redundancy error'...
not sure what the heck that means!... don't know whether it had anything to do with me not formatting the SD card when sticking it in my PC since WinXP said it needed to be formatted....
however, the instructions didn't say anything about formatting it!... tried to re-insert it and format it but don't get the format option this time....
SD card works fine in phone...
Don't know whether its to do with brand of SD card not being compatible with the 'goldcard' method (San Disk)... read that Kingston works... can't be asked with all the hassle and going out to buy a different one etc etc...
Hoping that a new ROM is released by HTC officially, soon!

[Q] Adding languages to unbranded HTC radar

Hi there,
This my first post, so I'll try to be short and to the point.
I just bought an sim-free HTC Radar (7720) from Expansys Japan, hoping to make a present to my Spanish mother. To my surprise, although my Japanese IS12T WP7 had several languages including Spanish, the HongKong market Radar Expansys sold me only has English and Chinese.
Since then I've been desperately trying to get a way to add Spanish display language. Found this thread on xda and thought I was saved.
Being a noob I did read every single post in the 85 pages before trying anything, unfortunately I still can't get Spanish display menu...
Here is what I did:
1) Checked I had latest Zune software (I'm running W8 CP 64bit)
2) Updated the radar up to 8107 through Zune (first 7740, then 8107).
3) Downloaded and installed WP7_update_tool
4) Downloaded and extracted WP7_Update_Cab_Sender
5) Downloaded all the Spanish language update cab files (1 for Nodo, 2 for Mango), and added them to the WP7_Update_Cab_Sender folder
6) Run the bat file, then choose "B" for backup+update
7) After a while, and a few restarts both the Update utility and the phone showed the message "Update successful".
I then went to change my display settings and found out that I still only had English and Chinese available...
Is there something I missed? Do you have any suggestions?
Right now the only thing I can think about is that maybe I shouldn't have used Zune to update. Should I try to roll back to 7740 with Zune, then update to 8107 using the Cab_Sender instead?
Thanks in advance.
Well, I got impatient so just tried to restore to the previous version using Zune...
Tried already 3 times, no particular error messages and everything seems to go fine. Yet at the end I always end up where I was, at 8107...
Am I stucked in here or is there something else I can try?
Any way of getting my phone back to 7720, or any idea of whether that would help me solve my problem ?
Having Spanish support is much more important than getting future updates... so that's not an issue...
CAB-sender takes a backup (technically "restore point") using the same mechanism that Zune does. If you didn't back up your older restore points, they were overwritten.
I'd suggest just flashing a European stock ROM. Here's a nice list of the ROMs for Radar phones: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/HTC_Radar/Shipped_Roms. Make sure the device version matches (i.e. the TMoUS one probably won't work, though I don't know what hardware a Radar purchased by way of Japan will use).

Thank you so much for your reply; now:
- I understood what I did wrong (over-write my previous backups when I run CAB-sender...
- Have some hope to get it done.
My hardware is: HTC Radar C110e, but unfortunately I found no file matching my current Firmware/Bootloader:
- Firmware: 1600.2200.20301.708
- RadioSofware: 16.23.03.17_16.27.00.23
- Bootloader: 2.3.160015.3(134621)
So additional questions:
- If I get one of these European ROM's, will I get also the language packs delivered by default in the European region (which include the one I want, Spanish)?
- Will my phone be updatable through the regular Zune channel afterwards?
- Should I rather get the newest, oldest, or it doesn't matter? (assuming I'll get the updates normally)
Your questions, in order:
1. Yes. These are the ROMs which are distributed on retail phones, and should include the standard language set for Windows Phones (which I'm pretty certain includes Spanish for the European phones, although I've never checked).
2. Yes. Flashing a stock ROM will make the phone behave exactly as though you'd bought it with that ROM, and it should work with Zune like any other Windows phone (including being updatable).
3. I suggest going with the newest ROM on that list, because it has the same major version number for its bootloader (2) and same revision version number for its radio (03). This reduces the risk of it not flashing correctly for some reason. That ROM is also 7740, so it will need fewer updates after flashing.
Do keep your restore point handy, in case the flash fails for whatever reason, but it shouldn't be needed. You can try recovering older restore points using the "Previous Versions" feature of Windows (requires Volume Shadow Copy service to not be disabled, and System Restore to be enabled for you user-profile disk and set to backup user files as well as system files).
Flashing a European ROM really seems like the best bet, though. You'll need to start the phone into SPL (bootloader) mode, which I believe requires turning off the phone, pressing and holding the Volume Down button, and turning it on again. You should see a screen with bands of color and info about your SPL in yellow text. At the bottom will be black text saying "Serial". Plug the phone into the computer. It will install some drivers (automatically, on Vista or later; on XP you may need to do this manually) and then the text at the bottom of the phone's screen should change to "USB". At that point, you can run the ROM Update Utility (RUU) that should have come packaged with the ROM image.
Thanks again for your precious help. It seems that's exactly what I need.
Now, sorry for asking again, but after a few hours I still couldn't find a suitable RUU... The links you gave me previously pointed to the ROM images only, any idea of where can I find "the RUU packed with those images"? Or "how to pack them myself"?
I did find a few threads in xda with a link to a RUU (here) , but it's only for the oldest version. Then they provide additional ROM images (.nbh), but it's not clear to me how can I pack those into a RUU.
Finally, I did find this other thread where someone was kind of explaining how to do it, but it seems the OP didn't even get it to work to begin with, so it doesn't feel reassuring...
Any further guidance would be appreciated.
I'm afraid you've reached the limits of my knowledge of such things. The only time I've manually flashed anything, the download came as a packaged RUU "installer" (basically just a self-unpacking archive, so far as I can tell) and included simple instructions for using it. If you tell me what file(s) your download contained, I could try to tell you how to lay them out like my phone has it, but I'm hesitant because I really don't know the intricacies of RUU.
I'm guessing you already checked the Radar forums? Alternatively, if you look at the threads for the other ROM downloads, at least some of them start with RUU and end with .EXE (which is how my download came) instead of starting with IMG and ending with .NBH (my download included some NBH files, though). Maybe grab one of the RUU bundles, run it, watch what files it extracts, and then replace the NBH file with the one you already downloaded? I can't promise this will work, but it's worth a shot.

Well, thank you in any case for your kindness and having taken me here.
I think I'm ready to try … Just made up my mind to go in the following order:
1) Give a shot to the original RUU file (even though it has an old build of my phone); then hope that Zune updates come as you said they would (my phone unbranded phone came out of the box with Mango 7720 and it took only a few minutes to get the latest version).
2) If updates don't come, try to modify the RUU file with the newer ROM to see if I have better chance...
I'll be back to report what happened.
Well, I tried both the old and the newer ROMs, and:
- on the good side: my phone didn't get killed in the process
- on the bad side: I get an error message saying "ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID" no matter what...
The ReadMe file says:
One of these error messages will appear when you use the wrong RUU to do the upgrade. RUU will check if the Model ID and Language ID are compatible with the device. Make sure you use the appropriate RUU tool to upgrade.
So I guess I'm slowly reaching a dead end... Someone has any further suggestions???
any updates here ?

Zopo ZP100 (MediaTek MT6575) - ICS upgrade guide

Since there isn't much information (in English) about how to upgrade the Zopo ZP100 phone to ICS I've now done it myself (after reading a lot of Russian forums using Google Translate I finally took the plunge into the deep end of the pool and just did it).
Files needed
ICS ROM (b79):
http://narod.ru/disk/48456521001.ee...T75_h932_b79_pulid_sw 20120428-14151.rar.html
Root:
http://files.dangerd.org/pub/ZP100//zopo zp100 4.0ROOT by008.rar
Flashtool:
http://narod.ru/disk/44888871001.ee...6c3e795/SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v3.1206.01.zip.html
USB Drivers (and a flashtool I didn't use):
http://chinamobiles.org/downloads/zap/ZP100fix.zip
CWM Recovery:
http://files.dangerd.org/pub/ZP100//recovery.img
First of all: Make a note of your IMEI-number(s)
Download the files and unpack all (in seperate folders).
Shutdown the phone and plug it in via USB, Windows will search for a driver which you find in the package ZP100fix.zip (different inf-files depending on windows version).
Unplug phone, remove the battery.
Replace the recovery.img from the ICS ROM with the one downloaded seperately.
Start flashutil.
Load Scatter-file: MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc2.txt
Make sure that Options -> USB Mode is selected.
Click Download
Connect phone (still with no battery, at least I had to leave it out).
Flashing begins.
When all is done it displays an "OK window".
Now reboot the phone and when booted connect to USB again and run Root.bat from the package: zopo zp100 4.0root by008"
Follow on-screen instructions.
I did not need to install any separate Google Apps, it was included in the ROM.
Now you need to add some IMEI-numbers to your phone.
In the original ROM I could only ever see one IMEI for my zp100, so I wrote that down.
IMEI2 I took from an old Nokia I hadn't used for a few years.
Use terminal app or adb shell or whatever to execute the following (replace IMEI_1 and IMEI_2 with your IMEI's):
echo 'AT + EGMR = 1,7, "IMEI_1"'> /dev/pttycmd1
echo 'AT + EGMR = 1,10, "IMEI_2"'> /dev/pttycmd1
Update: Zopo IMEI Tool in English can be downloaded from here: http://depositfiles.com/files/wi41lcuvb (should eliminate the need for the terminal-hack above). If the system language on your phone isn't set to English the utility will be displayed in Chinese by default, so setup your phone to use English before running it.
If you want your external sdcard mounted as /sdcard (/mnt/sdcard) instead of /mnt/sdcard2 you have to replace the /etc/vold.fstab with the following:
http://www.cactuz.net/files/zp100/vold.fstab
Use root-explorer (make a backup of the old one) to replace it, then shutdown your phone and remove the battery, then plug it all back in and start again and your external sdcard shoudl be mounted on /sdcard (/mnt/sdcard) instead.
Hope this helps.
I'll report back here with any bugs etc.
To use RecoveryMod I have to chose it from the menu in MobileUncle Tools or ClockWorkMod Rom Manager, I have not been able to boot to CWM using VolUp+Power.
Some of my favorite apps can't be downloaded from Google Play Market:
Vignette
Endomondo Pro
Snowstorm Weather Widget
GPS Status
I have been able to restore them all using MyBackup Pro and they are running fine, they just aren't compatible according to Play Market.
So any app you really need is good to make a backup of using MyBackup (or Titanium or any other backup app of your choice) so you can restore it if it can't be installed using market after the ICS upgrade.
Note that all these apps can be installed fine on my other devices using ICS (HTC Desire with CM9 and Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 with CM9 or AOKP) so it's this ROM that is the issue AFAIK.
Thank you ... I'll follow up in a couple weeks
Ordered my zopo yesterday (for the second time -- waited 2 weeks from the first store (merimobiles) and then cancelled when they still hadn't shipped it. Hopefully I'll have better luck this time.)
I appreciate you posting this info and will try it out when I get the phone.
Good luck Dave,
I ordered mine from etotalk.com, got it in about a week with DHL used for shipping.
I've updated the first post with some more info in regards to RecoveryMod and mounting external SDcard as /mnt/sdcard (/sdcard).
Since I use this phone daily I will probably not experiment much with it until any new official release is available. But the current one (b79) is good enough.
There are quite a lot of crappy chinese apps (crappy since I don't know what they do and they aren't translated into a language I can understand) installed with this ROM bit they can all be removed using the normal App-menu in the system settings.
imei no.
hello, u said that u have write the imei no. of old nokia phone which u don't use. i want to know that can i also change both the imei no. as i m from india and in india only valid imei no. works, and i m planning to purchase this phone but i am afraid that if the imei no. are not according to india then it will not work so i just wanted to know that if i write my old dual sim phone imei to zopo zp100, will it work without any problem.
rohit: I can't say for sure if the phone actually reports two IMEI's to the service provider, but at least it displays two IMEI's when I check "About phone" in the sytem settings.
Sorry I can't say if it works or not in India.

ZP100 and ICS upgrade experiences
Hi Guys,
I bought the ZP100 1,5 weeks ago from etotalk.com.
After 1 week i tried to upgrade to ICS about this and Colonel ZAP's description.
My experiences with the ICS upgrade:
When i received the phone, on that was etotalk v1.0 firmware.
It is a very good customized rooted ROM, works fast and it has just some minor bugs.
The only problem was, it could only read the internal storage, when i insert an external SD card. It was strange, but i accept it programming defects.
I downloaded the official 2.3.6 and this B79 ICS, VCOM (Flash) drivers and the flash program.
At first, i downloaded the ClockWorkMod Recovery for chinese phones.
Unfortunately it is make a factory reset on the phone, but after you customize it, you can make full backup about your ROM.
IMPORTANT! Copy the backup to your computer, because the ICS ROM formatted my external SD
This is very recommended, because...
At first i installed the linked B79 ICS ROM.
The default language is chinese, but it contains english, so if you know the android, it is not a challenge to change it. It couldn't read the internal memory neither, just after format it.
It wasn't rooted, and deleted IMEI. When i tried to root (different way as 2.3.6, need USB debug mode and ADB) the Windows doesn't recognize the ADB driver. The driver wasn't in Android SDK, and i can't download it (i haven't tried it on Linux yet). For a moment Windows showed it found HTC Dream device. I downloaded HTC drivers, but it didn't work with it neither.
Without this you can't restore the IMEI.
Ok, go back to the official 2.3.6.
I flashed it back. Almost the same effects. Default chinese language, the internal memory cannot readable. I could root it and install CWM recovery back.
Basically it doesn't contains Play store, but you can install it.
The ROM full of chinese programmes and my experience was it is very unstable.
I uninstalled the chinese programmes, and installed Play store. When i wanted make a call, the phone restarts. The Google Play Store froze every time.
Finally i restore back the etotalk ROM, and i use it.
Maybe if i have time/mood i will install the official ICS, but about my experiences i have doubts with it.
p.s.: in about 30C outside temperature i used the phone (installing programmes). After 10 minutes using it sings that the battery is too hot, remove it from the phone.
Is any other better quality battery what is compatible with this phone? thanks

Hi jbctiong,
I used CWM recovery 5.5.0.4.
Just carefully, because it make a full factory reset.
And you need to insert an external SD card

What is the ClockWorkMod Recovery for chinese phones.
WHy you needed it ?
Now we can download the 4.0 official
Somebody try it ?
hello carabaothai,
I used it for backup/restore my ROM.
But you can use nandroid backup too.
Sorry for my abscence from this thread, I've been busy all weekend actually tuning a car instead of my phone
buntybauva: I've got no problems with USB Mass Storage, could you explain what problems you experience?
I made a nandroid backup of the old ROM, but I haven't used it so don't actually know if it works.
rohit: I ordered mine from etotalk.com
carabaothai:I forgot to mention that the ICS-rom I linked to (and flashed myself) is in Chinese as default, but can be changed to English using the System Settings, luckily there are icons in there so you can find the symbol for language (hint for anyone who doesn't know: It's an "A").
ICS = Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0)
I have not experienced problems with loosing network on the SIM cards.
jbctiong: I had not tried any nandroid backup/recovery yet, tested right now and it doesn't seem to be able to actually do any backup. Some mount errors for sdcard.
vzzoli: Thank you for sharing your experiences.
I agree that the etotalk-ROM is quite good, but I always want the latest stuff on my gadgets
I have not had any issues with reading my sdcard nor in etotalk-rom or in the later ICS-rom.
The ICS rom did not format my external SD. But one should always make a backup of course (I backup my SDcard before every flash I try).
One bug I found in the current ROM is that the Cam/Videocam-switch on the phone doesn't make any difference what position it's in.
I'm going to see what the russian forum says about the official release, I'm quite happy with the one I'm currently running so no real need to change, but there could be performance reasons to change or maybe something else.
I downloaded to the "official" ROM and updated my phone
I think this is the same ROM as B79, just renamed the version.
Remove the IMEI, not rooted, other MTP driver needed etc.
@cactuz:
What operating system did you use for root the phone?
I'm using Windows, and the new official ICS ROM wants different ADB drivers than the 2.3.6.
Without this, i can't root it, and restore IMEI.
Buntybauva's mass storage problem maybe that the Windows recognize the ICS phone as media device, but can't mount as usb mass storage without a third party program
vzzoli: I used Win7 32bit when I rooted the phone, used the scripts supplied in one of the links in my initial post.
When I restored the IMEI I used Linux since that is my prefered choice whenever using ADB.
I can't check right now what version because I've apparently forgot my VPN-password so I can't connect to my computer at work
Does the camera-switch work for changing between Camera and VideoCam on the new official rom?
hyy
after ics upgrade is anyone facing problem with gps lock?
buntybauva: Not worse than before, the GPS was terrible for me before as well as after (but I do get a fix after quite some time). Though some of the guys on the russian forum has modified the antenna as far as I know.
Maybe DangerD could help us out because I think he has been involved in it.

[Q] Missing Language Packs

Hello,
I updated my HTC Trophy using Seven Eighter. While the update itself went fine, I've missed some language packs as my system menus won't open. The Office WP7 Updates thread is an excellent resource, but at this point I'm having trouble determining which language packs I actually need to push to the phone. I've seen Heathcliffs tool 'Version and Language by Heathcliff74.xap', but don't know how to get it to and run on my phone.
According to Zune (the only way I can seem to retrieve version info), my phone is at version 7.10 (8862).
I tried the Seven Eighter support tool, but it fails every time I attempt to send languages over. I tried just downloading and sending over every language cab update, but of course that failed as well.
Any tips/pointers/links someone can share to help me out?
Thanks,
Tim
What version was in your phone before you use Seven Eighter?
What is your current language?
many people reports problems after use seveneighter...
which ROM you have before use seveneighter?
dont have trophy but advice you to flash Dynamics v2.0 ROM for Trophy
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1523976
and use Zune to update from 8858 to 8862 (no need cabs files or others)...
with Dynamics ROM you have full unlocked phone and you can install XAP files
Thanks all. So I'm not sure what ROM I was on when I started Makes it much harder to troubleshoot.
Is it possible to download a full original ROM and flash that? The Dynamics ROM looks cool, but I would like to avoid going down the HSPL route (If possible).
Do I just need to get all English language packs up to my current ROM version to load for menu functionality, or do I need all languages loaded? I've had some luck getting a few English packs to load. Very tedious though.
Tim
why to avoid HSPL? you not loose anything (always you can go back to original SPL) and with HSPL and custom ROM you have unlimited possibilities and you can do almost anything...
with original ROM you can forget to add language or do any other things...
