Hi im wondering if anyone can help me i have a galaxy s2 i1900 i rooted this phone the odin cf root way and have been having a great time flashing roms
Now last night i flashed checkrom v7 kernel xxlpq5 didnt like it because it seemed to take my phone right back to stock even the yellow triangle was gone so i thought i will flash res rom but when i tryed i havnt got cwm anymore and i dont have root priviliges anymore aftrr the near heart attack i had rooting my phone i find ive flashed a bad kernel can anyone please have any solutions please i was thinking of flashing another kernel via odin but i need root anyway at least if i cant do anything maybey this might stop someone doing what ive done.

im curently on 1.83-pudding-preroot i am unlocked rooted and have cwm and cwm rom manager plus rom manager from market im going to try alien 4 and the theme so im running my bat dead to reset bat stats.MY QUESTION IS which ginger bread do i need to install i really want it first or to be able to cwm flash it latter,i had it installed prior but couldent get root so went back to 1.83 i downloaded the one from briefmobile 4.5.91.zip hard brick was wondering if it has pudding in it or it dont mater or give me a link to trusted one THANKS YOU GUYS ARE GREAT
I have a problem. Instead of rooting my Samsung Galaxy S I9003, I flashed it, i.e. it was not rooted previously and I flashed instead of rooting and now my phone does not boot. However I can get into download mode.

flashing doesnt require you to root beforehand... those 2 things have nothing to do with each other...
i would think that you somehow messed up the flashing process so please tell us exactly what you did to mess up your phone.

i have 2.3.6 and XWKK2
when i try it only with odin and use CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEN_KK2-v5.0-CWM5 or XWKDD_insecure.tar it gives me a triangle.
Ive followed the how to -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278&highlight=triangle but the phone dont get root at all and no triangle.
i cant install Clockwork or superuser at all
any ideas ?
If you have done whatever as http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278&highlight=triangle shows, and you've rooted it before, just look out if your phone have superuser yet? If it have, hence it is rooted!

I did exactly whats in there but its a no go, or i get the triangle while rooted.
i gave up after 3 tries w/o superuser been installed so not rooted this moment :/
well i wish you lived close by i would gladly root it for you if you would like pm me and i will walk you though it its easy ok just have some free time and patience key lol

cool, ive rooted my phone now but i have that yellow triangle ... i guess i wait for my jig ....
Alright here is the deal....ive been flashing and re flashing for quite some time now, and have had no issues whatsoever...thankyou xda for all the hard work by the way.... For some odd reason i cannot get super one click too root my phone anymore! ive had to go back to stock and have lost almost everything... So now im back to gingerbread and cannot root. everything that I've done in the past is backfiring now and really starting to flip my testicals inside out. what do i do? 9522559519 my phone.... please someone call me or send a text, or even video. help help all i get is this blue recovery screen and all it does is let me reboot . why is this happenning
ummmmn because You are on gingerbread.... that's normal. you can't root it with super one click (cept the Rogers firmware as long as you are using the zerg rush exploit)
and if this is real I hope somebody subscribes You to some obnoxious SMS spam garbage.
2.3.6 can only be rooted in a non secure terminal session, cwm, or init script which can only happen with a custom kernel. the kernel must be flashed with heimdall or with Odin.
if it sounds intimidating or you like mastication you can flash froyo and get cwm and flash a pre rooted gingerbread from the dev section. most are deodexed and zipaligned as well.
I have just updated to ics on my sgs2 via kies,was previosly running rooted g,bread 2.3.5(ORANGE).I obviosly lost root after update! Anyway just tried to root using cf-root on odin,and it said sucsess after flashing but my phone w'ont boot up now,the only thing It can do is get back into download mode. My stock kernal is BVLPB(Orange branded) I did use a matching cf-root kernal.
Can anyone PLEASE help me totally gutted......
