Download the app called "Phone Info" by [email protected]
Under Device Info change the preferred network type from "LTE/CDMA/EvDO" to "CDMA Auto(PRL)" that will disable 4G. Change back to re-enable.

Perfect and thanks

Prl preferred roaming list, tells your phone about the way it connects to towers. Profile is for your data connection, used to sync your phone to your data access

Ok thanks, appreciate the info. How often should one update these? On a side note, you look like the dude from shinedown

No, you don't generally have to worry about profile and prl just when new towers arrive in your area. Shinedown huh lol glad I just cut all the hair off lol

Did you possibly go over your data plan limit?
Or running with a Sim from service that cant use the 4g service native to the phone?

I was told never to try to go on 4g. Um ... I don't think its possible for me to even download anything over at the speeds that I get right now. It goes off and on. It just sets really annoying. I didn't do the flashing or anything. I even try to manually to stay on "GSM/cdma auto prl " and choosing the radioband to "USA "

Don't know much about cdma. when I was researching flashing a broken epic to see if its worth fixing the screen, I notice you need a boost 3g phone to do it. Could be that it wasn't. Could be your plan, area. Have you done a speed test?
Sent from mI y SGH-T959V using Tapatalk
Where can I do a speed test? Well the last one I had was a flip phone Motorola from boost. For a couple times I thought that could be

Straight Talk APN

For anyone who needs them. I use these on my LOCKED A2 and I usually pull 4mb down and 2-3mb up. I ordered the ATT SIM from Straighttalk.com for $14.99 with free shipping and handling and popped it in my A2, typed in the settings and bam.
Name: Straight Talk
Apn: att.mvno
Proxy: proxy.mvno.tracfone.com
Port: 80
Mmsc: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Mmsc proxy: 66.209.11.33
Mmsc port: 80
Hit thanks if this helped!

Btw, leave everything else the way it is. Only input what i gave you. You WILL have full 3G, 4G is coming soon, and you will have MMS and text.
Edit 1: These settings work for ANY ATT android.

I'm switching over to ST this week too. ATT's 50 dollar go phone plan does NOT include data. You have to purchase an additional package, which is BS.

All my apn settings are still on here, I just use straight talk apn settings. I usually see 4-6 mb download speeds
Sent from my MB865 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-4
Ill reset my phone to get the other apns back. I seen where one had the type "entitle" but when i restored my apns it didn't restore that one.
4 to 6 mb would be a dream. Where i live we only get edge.

I don't know if this would make any difference or not, but I'm using Straight Talk the old way where I had to buy the Nokia phone and use the SIM card from that. Do you guys think it would make any difference in down/up speeds to switch over to their BYOD for AT&T SIM card?

Lost Internet Connectivity

Hello. I have been using Supercharged 5 v1 and everything has been great. But recently i lost my internet connectivity. My 4g signal is grey out. I can make calls and text but no internet. I wondering if this is a rom issued or a service issue. Also if anybody have had this problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Mobile Hotspot on Paranoid Android

When I use the mobile hotspot on Paranoid Android 2.15 (Same thing on BAKED b4) everyone on the phone seems too work fine but when I try to connect with my laptop it says "Unable to connect" with no other specifics. Anyone know why?
Go to settings and change the device profile to galaxy s3. I had the same problem and that seems to have fixed it.

Wireless tether from the play store. Works great on a rooted phone. Foxfi also works good if you aren't rooted.
