Just downloaded Rom and its a zip file in es file explorer - HTC Sensation

Do I have to put the zip file in the root of my sd card before I can check the md/5?If so and say its a corrupt file how do I delete it off the root of my sd card.

Yes you have to put in the root of the sd card if the md5 sums don't match just longpress in file explorer and delete.you check the sums in 4ext recovery

You do not have to put a Rom in the root of your sd card, firmware PG58IMG.zip files should be in the root of the sd card, Roms could be installed from any subdir using the recovery.
You could check MD5 and delete Rome using es file explorer.

file managers

I'm trying to install an specific app that requires to put the folder in the root of the sd card (no sd card on HTC one X) so I've placed it in the root of the phone's memory drive shown in windows explorer.
It also requires to put the apk file somewhere you can start it from via file explorer.
But all file explorers search SD cards, I can't navigate to this specific location on phone's fixed memory.

The phones fixed memory is an ad card. That's the way android looks at it. It will be under sdcard in file explorers like es file explorer, and root explorer, and I'm sure the rest too.

Hi,
I use ES File Explorer, available from the market.
When you open the app,it takes you straight to the root of your sd card.
Scroll down to the ROM/kernel that you want to delete.
Long press it,and then select "Delete".
If you're on your computer just turn onto disk drive / mass storage and delete. But if you're not just download file explorer app from play store.
I'm using Astro File Manager

Yes you can also delete using es file explorer. Simply long press on the item you want deleted through es, a menu will pop up, delete from there. I use es to delete my unwanted items of off my sd card often. It's quite convenient.

Hi,
Bare in mind that the sd card contains all your backups, and saves.
It is best to make a copy of your sd card onto your PC,then format it in the PC to FAT 32.
When you put your card back into your phone,Android will put back the files it needs.

I cant find the nandroid backup

I made a nandroid backup, before install a liquid smooth rom,i have a esfile explorer and when i go to clockwork mode there are nothing in that folder,im not sure but i think there are suppose to have a folder named backup
Check data/media. You installed a 4.2.2 rpm which rearranges your internal sdcard.

I had similar issue when trying to figure out where it put it but when I used the search function in the explorer it was able to find it.

Move the entire CWM folder to your external sdcard and just continue making backups to your external sdcard going forward.
