Apex Launcher Question - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Quick question...seems dumb but I havent been able to figure it out.
When I open the App Drawer, I can only swipe forwards from the first screen.
With TW Launcher I was able to swipe backwards which was helpful for many apps and was a lot quicker in terms of getting to them.
Is there any way to configure this ability in Apex?

Thanks. I did try this initially.
The thing is it doesnt actually scroll from the first app drawer screen to the last when you swipe backwards. It takes you from the first app drawer screen to the "widgets" tab which is at the top of the app drawer, and you need to scroll through all the widgets screen before you get back to apps...

ADW Launcher Dockbar shortcut issue

I mistakenly replaced the "Dialer Storage" shortcut icon at the bottom that was once in the Dockbar. I search through the installed apps, but I only see "Dialer".
I could be wrong, but I believe this is the default Android dialer... Have you tried reinstalling ADW - this might bring it back...you would, of course have to uninstall ADW first.

Maybe it was jus a modified shortcut icon and it really led to the dialer app?

Try "Anycut" from the Market. It lets you create shortcuts for hidden apps.

I used Anycut and found the correct dialer icon. Thanks
Search on the market for "CreativeThemez" for awesome themes!

To get the call log shortcut
Go to home screen and long press and select custom shortcut/pick your activity/activities/dialer storage
If you dont have any sub activity as above in dialer storage do as below.
Go to home screen and long press and select custom shortcut/pick your activity/activities/phonebook/Call log
And select any icon you prefer and save it on home screen.
Then simply drag it to the bottom bar any location u prefer.

LauncherPro Behavioe

Hi guys,
Yesterday I was trying some launchers because I'm bored with Sense's one.
I tryied launcher pro and it was a very good launcher but it had something I don't like.
Let's say I'm in the home screen. I go to the menu and I tap to open for example Gallery app. If I hit back, with the launcher pro it sends me to the home screen (just like if I hit home button) BUT the Sense's launcher goes really back -> to the previous screen which is the menu.
Can I make something for the LauncherPro to work like Sense on this situation?
Thanks a lot guys.

I just checked my settings, there's lots of options and I didn't check them all but it looks like you could at least set the home button to open/close the app drawer in preferences>behavior. That might be a solution.

As I said ... I just want when running LauncherPro the 'back' button to have the same behavior as when running Sense.

Just tested on my phone and it takes me back to the screen I was on. I couldn't find anything in the settings though, so I'm not sure why your's is doing this.
Sorry!

You launched an app from the menu? Then you hitted the back button and taked you to the previous screen (not homescreen) at menu?
Strange thing. My brother's Zte Blade does the same with my phone...

I think OP is talking about opening an app from the app drawer right?
Unfortunately launcherpro doesn't allow the app drawer to be opened in the background, so pressing back will just put you back to home screen.
I think most other launchers do the same thing. You can try other launchers like ADW launcher, Zeam Launcher and Go Launcher. See if any of them has more App Drawer options for you..

Yes... that's I'm talking about. Back to the app drawer.
Tested ADW, does the same.... that's awful.

It's in the ADW launcher settings, look for the dock icons option, then just drag and drop you apps you want in the new spots.

If you want more icons to choose from, download new themes from the market or from within dock settings under themes
If you want more icons on the dock it self (eg 5 instead of 3) then you hit the soft menu key, go to more. Click adw settings. Its in there somewhere under dock icon as stated above.

So I went to ADW settings, General Behavior and this is all I see. SENSE PREVIEWS, CLOSING FOLDER, SHOW NOTIFICATION, BUBBLE FONT SIZE, HOME BUTTON BINDING, SWIPE DOWN ACTIONS, SWIPE UP ACTIONS AND DOUBLE TAP ACTIONS.
This is really frustrating.
Do you mean as a shortcut icon, lets say if you click the icon the app drawer is launched?
The instructions I gave were for ADW Launcher EX. Sorry about that. Should've asked which version.

How to show recent apps with swiping bottom->up in kitkat?

To see the list of recently called (active) apps - I have to long-press "Menu" button, which is not very comfortable. How to make it work with swiping on screen upward? Are there any configuration settings for that in kitkat?

If you are rooted you can try with xposed framework and gravity box or some other modules that allow you to change your navbar settings or your hard keys configuration.

I do have root, but xposed - or rather its modules, but it's almost the same - does not work at my phone (Alcatel Idol X+).

You can have this gesture, but not while using an app. That's because this would interfere with scrolling or possible app gestures.
I have the exact gesture set to open recent apps with Nova Launcher.
Install Nova launcher, go to Nova settings, gestures and buttons and set the swipe up gesture to open Recent Apps.
This will work when you are on one of your home screens, but not in apps, like I said.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Hi, thanks. The matter is that I use the launcher, which I don't wish to change. I've been using it for a while and I find it the most suitable for me. It's Launcher Pro. Mostly because it allows to make a bottom bar of shortcuts scrollable, fitting there more than 4-5 icons. Also it's quite fast and does not drain battery.

Nova launcher does this as well. It's incredibly light and fast. Very customizable. Give it a shot. You might like it.
It's considered by many the best android launcher.
I have the paid version and nova launcher is always my first installed app after flashing any rom.
To activate the dock (bottom bar) pages, go to nova settings, dock, dock pages. You can also set the number of dock icons and a lot of other stuff actually
Cheers

Thanks, the launcher itself is good, but as to swiping action - it seems does not solve my problem. The swiping works if it happens on blank zone. On my Meizu firmware, when I, for instance, had some PDF opened full-screen - I could swipe from bottom of screen or side - if being in landscape orientation - and recent apps bar appeared, so I could call dictionary or encyclopaedia, whatever, and the same way back. It was fast and comfortable. Here it does not work...

Yep. Like I said, it only works from one of the home screens. Don't know what else to suggest unfortunately

In case someone is interested, more or less normal way to do it - "All in one gesture" application. It adds a small "hot spot" zone to drag from.

Apps in alphabetical order

Unless im missing something i cannot see any option to set the apps in alphabetical order in the app drawer, how can his be done please?
Also how can i create a new black page withut having to add in a widget?
Mine are in alphabetical on the stock launcher with numbered app first but I can't see an option to change it to not alphabetical.
I would recommend nova launcher, I use nova prime myself.
I use nova as well but I switched back to stock to see if I could help. You can rearrange the apps in the drawer by pressing menu on the homescreen and then swiping up on the menu to bring up additional options. Set the drawer sorting mode to title. I can't seem to create additional homescreen pages that are blank though.
