Unless im missing something i cannot see any option to set the apps in alphabetical order in the app drawer, how can his be done please?
Also how can i create a new black page withut having to add in a widget?
Mine are in alphabetical on the stock launcher with numbered app first but I can't see an option to change it to not alphabetical.
I would recommend nova launcher, I use nova prime myself.
I use nova as well but I switched back to stock to see if I could help. You can rearrange the apps in the drawer by pressing menu on the homescreen and then swiping up on the menu to bring up additional options. Set the drawer sorting mode to title. I can't seem to create additional homescreen pages that are blank though.

I mistakenly replaced the "Dialer Storage" shortcut icon at the bottom that was once in the Dockbar. I search through the installed apps, but I only see "Dialer".
I could be wrong, but I believe this is the default Android dialer... Have you tried reinstalling ADW - this might bring it back...you would, of course have to uninstall ADW first.

Maybe it was jus a modified shortcut icon and it really led to the dialer app?

Try "Anycut" from the Market. It lets you create shortcuts for hidden apps.

I used Anycut and found the correct dialer icon. Thanks
Search on the market for "CreativeThemez" for awesome themes!

To get the call log shortcut
Go to home screen and long press and select custom shortcut/pick your activity/activities/dialer storage
If you dont have any sub activity as above in dialer storage do as below.
Go to home screen and long press and select custom shortcut/pick your activity/activities/phonebook/Call log
And select any icon you prefer and save it on home screen.
Then simply drag it to the bottom bar any location u prefer.

Is there a way to organise apps in the app drawer? It is now just a collection of apps, but I like the idea of a totally clean homescreen (only widgets and dock), and an organised App Drawer.
It doesn't matter how the apps are organised. It can be with folders, different pages, whatever. But it has to be in the App Drawer. Is there an app/launcher/custom ROM that can do that?
Anyone? I know not many people want this, because they organise their apps on the homescreens, and the App Drawer is just a collection of all apps, but as I said, I really like the idea of a homescreen with widgets only, and an organised App Drawer with folders or different pages or whatever.
ADW Launcher has an option to create a catalog to group apps, but everytime you need to change catalogs, you have to press menu, then "choose group".
It´s nice, but it should have a better way to choose between the groups.
All apps organizer is what I use. If you use adw or launcher pro you can make it your app drawer. Works really well.

So..., that just replaces the App Drawer? That's fine to me, but I hope you can hide the 'real' App Drawer then. I still want my app drawer button in the middle + 2 icons on either side in the dockbar, but then the app drawer icon should link to that All Apps Organizer program.

You can set the option in ADW.Launcher so that there are arrows on the left and side of the bottom of the screen when you open the app drawer, then pressing those arrows you can switch the catalogs.
Just found out that Go Launcher EX has folder support. I'm starting to like this launcher more and more! Nobody knows it though, so I couldn't find much information about the folder support in app drawer.
Does anyone know of an app that can launch your app drawer?
Ive tried Desktop Visualizer, but it doesnt give me the option to launch the app drawer. i can only do it using the rosie.
I wanted to know if i could basically create an icon on a home screen to launch the drawer so i could use a completely hidden rosie.

Yup! Just long press and add a "Launcher Action"... They will let you customise the icon as well
I prefer ADWLauncher EX the paid version

where do i long press? im using LPP and desktop visualizer but i still cant figure out how to use an icon to launch the app drawer
On an empty space on one of your home screens... as it you would add a widget or a shortcut.
Works fine on ADW Launcher Pro.
Greetz
still no luck. i dont see where LPP or DV gives me the option to add a 'launcher action'
when i long press the homescreen, i get the standard Shortcuts, Widgets, LPP Widgets, Folders, and Wallpapers
where do i go from here?

Launcher actions are shortcuts I think.

I assume you need the ADW launcher for the extra options.
Greetz
In adw just press and hold the launcher icon on the bottom bar and drag it up to the screen

If you have LPP or ADW you don't need DV...
I think LauncherPro you would: long press home screen / add shortcut / actions / launcherPro / LauncherPro (app list in small type)
Hope that helps.
Though it is not really the "App drawer" its just a list... ADW actually gives you far more customisable options. Try the free one first if you like

In Launcher Pro, keep your finger down on one of the mi ddle buttons on each dock. It will say Edit dock shortcut.
goto change shortcut --> App Drawer.
Done

Sorry, ignore me, I see what you're trying to do. I'm not sure LP can do this. I can;t see an activity which replicates opening the app drawer. You might ask the developer. He's pretty good at responding.
I have your answer.
Adw.
Search settings for hide bottom dock.
Search settings. Use swipe up gesture for app drawer.
Done
I think I'm having the same problem here.
I was trying to launch the app drawer from the homescreen, not from the dock, but LPP doesn't have that option or perhaps I just don't know how to do it?
Using DV also doesn't help.
Any ideas?
i dont use the builtin messaging app on my phone, i use chompsms. is there a way to replace the messaging icon next to contacts and applications with the chompsms icon?
I think it depends on the launcher you use.

It has been ages since I used the TW launcher, but I believe you open your app drawer, press menu, change to customizable grid, then menu then edit... then maybe just drag it down there.
If you are using another launcher, it would be considerably easier.
EDIT, yeah, just booted up, that is how you do it....
You can then change it back to alphabetical if that is your preference, the dock icons will remain the same as you changed them.
Does anybody have a clue how to do it.

If you are talking about the default TouchWiz homescreen you can pinch (zoom out) on one of the homescreens. This will show all your homescreens like tiles. You can do the same thing with Menu > Edit. Then you can rearrange them by holding and dragging them where you want. The first homescreen (top left) is the default.
If you mean in the browser (assuming default browser) Menu > Settings > Set home page
Yes, I'm aware of that.
What I meant was making screen no. 4 as my default homescreen.
In that case I will always start in the middle of the background.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
screen 4 is not too different from screen 1. If you swipe left form screen 1, you arrive at screen 7. Only the wallpaper moves in a strange way.
doesnt solve his issue of wanting to be in the middle of a background though
3rd party launchers can do that, i suppose. Go Launcher EX has that option

yes it has - also launcher pro
This means wallpapers and especially live wallpapers are off center and it's annoying. Some launchers allow you to set the Page you want as home. But is there a way to do it in touchwiz?
