[solved] theming and deodex problems

Hi everyone
I've got few problems in theming my phone, I dun know how to do although i've read a lot of articles about it. So I hoped that someone could help me
Here is my phone's spec :
My phone is rooted
Firmware ver :2.3.5
Baseband ver : I9003XXKPM
Kernel ver : 2.6.35.7-CL696171
[email protected]#1
Build no : GINGERBREAD.ZHKPD
Then come to the questions

What should I do in order to apply it ?
Do I need to DEODEX or can I DEODEX my phone using this method ?

If yes , will I lose everything like sms , apps etc stored in my phone ?
I am so scare about losing everything in my phone as I dun really know how to make a backup of it
If I can't use this method , what else can I do?

HK firmware? Latest is I9003ZHKPE.
For latest rom i already deodex..

ys its hk firmware
but after upgrage to zhkpe
which cfroot should i apply in order to get cwm

No bugs as of yet. Been running AEON v1.3 updated with Arabic patch. No problems. Thanks aly_hosny.:thumbup:

this doesnt act like this
Aeon already support arabic as a reading language
I made this patch because other roms doesnt read arabic
If you want your phone to display in arabic you have to switch to ICS or JB roms

Can u suggest me which ICS ROM support for Arabic language? Bcoz my friend isn't good in english. He want to use as Arabic Language. Thanks for reply.

I think it will work perfectly but not sure
Please let me know the result if you tried it
and if it didnt work I will create a new one for the stock rom

This stock rom has new things like :
google play store by default.
google +
Messenger
They are the only things added that i can think of..

And how is the unlock screen? Is it like the one in Austrian XWLA4 or Chinese ZCLA1?

for in coming calls the screen lock has changed

m.kochan10, In XWLA4, i just slide the Lockscreen wallpaper to unlock the phone. In ZCLA1, I long press on lock screen and get a lock icon, i swipe in any direction to unlock. Correct me if i'm wrong.

U are talking about Custom roms based on ZCLA1 with ported Sammy ICS lockscreen (I guess these were: GLX-R and TheFrankenstein roms ) Stock ZCLA1, which is btw. older than XWLA4 has exactly the same lockscreen like the austrian one.

Ics settings

Is it possible to extract the settings app from an ics rom modify it for gingerbread and modify the applications developer name so you can install it on gingerbread along the normal settings app

currenty no mod available for this but pankaj (dev of neo rom) is currently working on this mod, he will release this feature in his next rom update.

I have successfully modified gb settings.apk to look like ICS settings.apk ...
I will release NEO ROM v 2.0 with the modded settings.apk and other stuffs soon..

ICS icon for Settings.
Modified icons for Motion and Power saving mode as well.

[MOD] JB Animations

We don't have official JB yet. But that doesn't mean that we cannot enjoy the JB goodies.
For now, i have ported the animations from JB to our stock 2.3.6 ROM.
Please test whether it works.
Download : JB Animations
Installation :
Download the zip and place it at the root of the sdcard.
Flash through recovery.

Just tested flash your animation but won't work & my phone show the message "the application Twlauncher process have stop unexpectedly pls try again ! &(process com.android) process have stop unexpectedly pls try again ! i just can go in to TWRP recovery mode only... No, I'm using the stock ROM ( T T T ) "I9070UBLD1_I9070-UUBLC1_I9070UBLD1" Trinidad and Tobago.
