may have to take back to stock...first power it off let it sit for a few hours to get a good charge, and see my links far right...the box that says My Signature Links...go to the infuse page super everything...look for one click or odin.

[Q] Nexus S stuck in Boot loop

Hi,
sorry for my post, but i'm devastated and can't find anything
I flashed my Nexus S, I9023, with the new ICS update from the Google servers
and now it is stuck in a constant boot loop
Going into fastboot and choosing recovery doesn't help
I can only see a lying Android with a red triangle and then nothing happens
Is there anyone who can help me?
Thanks

Try this...it will work after that : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1397393
tried it but i can't get it working
I always get a theme failure...
you will need to do do a full wipe. then install as install from sd card and locate the update file.
Same Issue Here

Hi, any luck with this issue?! I'm having exactly the same problem
You could try flashing the recovery through fastboot or even wipe the device and flash the ROM through fastboot.
Thanks... At the end I wasn't even able to get into Clockwork Mod Recovery. Found a guide on how to force my way into Clockwork Mod, and tried to load a ROM - without success...
I ended up leaving my phone on boot the whole night, and sure enough, it was working in the morning. Mind you, I've had it booting or more than half an hour before, and nothing happened.
So personally, I don't have an explanation why it works all of a sudden.
My suggestion is, leave it booting overnight and "hope for the best" - it worked for me.

[Q] Sidekick 4G Bricked!!!!!!! odin dosent work

tried installing glorious overdose but I tried to wipe data, and it stayed there for about 10min so i pulled out the battery. i tried a second time but without wiping data (i didnt know WTH i was thinking) so it rebooted and was stuck at boot screen saying create new partition and system not avaliable (sumthing like that) so i decided to try odin so i can go back to stock firmware and it finished and now it stays at the bootscreen blinking i tried recovery im stuck.
before you odin, reinstall the phones drivers on your pc. connect the phone to the pc without the battery, hold the volume down button and the trackpad and reinsert the battery. when you odin, make sure only auto reboot is checked, and put the pit file in the pit slot and the tar file in the pda slot. if you use kies to update firmware, reinstall drivers again before updating.
You may need to check "Re-Partition" in Odin.
shouldnt need to repart, in fact it may be a bad idea. every time i odined and accidentally had repart checked, it screwed something up. most recently the stock messaging app didnt work after odin. i have since switched to go sms, but still made sure i had a clean firmware install. i would try odin without repartitioning first and see how that goes. if something is wrong, you can always odin again. the first time i tried to flash a rom i bricked because i flashed cwm through rom manager. the thread where i found the odin file said make sure only auto reboot is checked. besides, if the rom didnt flash correctly, then it didnt convert any partitions anyway.
ok i had the same problem for the first time i tried to install a custom rom, theres a way that you can fix it with out odin. follow this steps... i promise it will work.
1)boot into the red cwm voodoo lagfix recovery
2)wipe data/factory reset
3)wipe cache partion
4)after all the steps above are completed, go to apply sdcard:update.zip
the its going to take you to the regular cwm once there follow this steps...
1)install the custom you want to install, but make sure that it doesnt need special mounts and unmounts, so follow the instruction flash the rom and it should fix it
Heimdall worked perfectly when I bricked my phone.
Thank you!! ^ I was boutta cry when it was Rebooting .... Yea I guess I messed something up with odin

I tried the method above but ater reboot it stays on the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G boot screen and does nothing else. I'm hesitant and Flash Bootloader but what do you all think?
flashing bootloader in that package doesn't break it.

My advice is do whatever it takes, and besides, don't worry about breaking something that's already broken, if you know what I mean...

This is my current problem as well, except I have tried checking flash bootloader and have also tried Odin, but all to no avail. Can anyone help me? This is my situation:
I've had my sidekick for about a year now and have gone through the typical problems of a sidekick user. Then yesterday, my sidekick's alarm woke me as normal, but I was unable to turn it off because my touch screen wasn't working. So i battery pulled, restarted, and noticed that the screen stayed on the "T-Mobile Sidekick 4g SAMSUNG" start up screen and did not budge. I tried battery draining, more battery pulling, and nothing worked. So i did a lot of research on here and other websites and decided to use Odin. After initial problems of a newbie, I eventually figured it out and got it to RESET and PASS, but the subsequent reboot only caused my phone to be stuck in the same Sidekick start up screen it has been getting stuck in. Similarly, after many tries, Heimdall has done the same for me. Sorry if that was a long read (also, I hope its cool that i bumped this thread with my own problems), but is there anything else i can do? I'd really like to use my phone again..
I've been working for hours trying to figure out how to fix it, and I just don't know. The end result is always just the freezing at the t-mobile start up screen..Also, since i forgot to mention, I can only get into download mode with the volume down+trackball method because otherwise it would just go to the regular start up screen and freeze. I don't know if that means anything, but yeah.
Have you used heimdall yet? I bricked my SK4G the other day when flashing a rom and heimdall put it back to stock within 5 minutes of me bricking it.
Thank you for replying. Unfortunately yes, I did. With flash bootloader unchecked and checked. It says it disconnects after everything is done and it restarts, only to become frozen at the start screen again =/. I don't know if there is some silly detail that im missing that makes the flash rather than just restart, but all i can manage to make it do is restart.
Sigh. Guess im going phone shopping.
How did u get the phone in dl. Mode
Sent from my SGH-T839 using XDA
I had to plug the phone into my computer without the battery, hold volume and the track ball, then pop the battery in. Any other attempts would simply start it up/freeze it.
Ok did u have heimdall started first?
Sent from my SGH-T839 using XDA
And what rom did u last have?
Sent from my SGH-T839 using XDA
I'm not entirely sure if I had it started first, so I'll try it that way now. And the last ROM that I had? Honestly not really sure what that means =p, but i've never flashed one and I had the most recent sidekick update installed (though it is possible that I had done a factory reset at some point to fix an error).
---------- Post added at 01:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:45 PM ----------
Just tried it. Without flashing bootloaders, it finishes and restarts to my frozen start up screen as normal. However, when i flash bootloaders, it gets to "uploading pit", but the upload fails and it reboots my phone. But this time, it reboots into download mode. A welcome change from my start up screen. Maybe there's hope.

[Q] Having issues trying to get back to stock

Ive been using the thread to Odin back to stock as im getting a replacement phone in a few days. Followed everything correctly, but Ive been getting a boot loop between the green android guy and the white Samsung startup logos. Redid the process in odin and now im getting "firmware upgrade encountered an issue, please select recovery mode in Kies and try again" when I go to download mode. i know I have a saved Nandroid backup on my SDcard, I just cant get to it. I also have mini Kies installed on my computer if there is a way to fix it thru that. I cant figure out how to get into recovery mode either. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated! Im just trying to get my phone working until my replacement is here.

That's because you had to factory reset and erase all data before flashing to stock. I had the same issue when flashing from dk4 to stock to lf4

So how do I get my phone working again? Its stuck in a bootloop after following the directions for Odin back to stock thread

This issue only occured when you uncheck Auto reboot in Odin. Try Odin again with Auto reboot checked
If you getting an boot loop, do exactly what I've done in Odin thread
If you get a boot loop All you do is boot in stock recovery and wipe data

Can't go to stock recovery in this case. This issue only occoured when Odin to stock ROM after using/flashing custom ROM that you forgot to format system or clean data. I've run into this problem before
It looks like after all this, Titanium Backup's backup was erased. I do have a Nandroid saved on my SDcard. Is there a way to pull everything from that? When I go to CWM and try to do a Nandroid, it says there isnt anything there. But When I connect to my computer, I can see the saved backup. I have been able to pull a few backed up apps off the Nandroid backup, but only certain ones or it says batch restore failed. Im wonder how it can see the Nandroids, but CWM cant? They're saved on my SDcard.
Is there another way Titanium Backup saves backups that I could possibly get to them? Im really trying to figure this out before my replacement phone gets here in a few days. I did backup everything, Im just having a difficult time restoring after the numerous problems Ive had thanks to Tmobile's "troubleshooting"
What are you currently running? If you are back to stock titanium won't function correctly as you have to be rooted. But since you mentioned cwm I wasn't sure.
Sent from my SGH-T769 using Tapatalk 2
Im just on stock but I am rooted. I just dont know where all my backups went after the bootloop and issues with reverting to stock after Tmobilr screwed up my phone trying to figure out why I kept getting "Call Ended" when trying to dial out.
Where is your nandroid backup currently located?
Sent from my SGH-T769 using Tapatalk 2
On my external SDcard/clockwork mod/backup/ whatever the date was.
Seems normal. Not sure why it wouldn't be visible. Sorry I can't be more help.
Sent from my SGH-T769 using Tapatalk 2
In recovery they are visible, but when I go to flash one it says no files found..
I was also stuck in a boot loop after attempting to get my phone back to stock since I got a replacement phone. Followed all of the instructions, but realized although I did a factory reset, I forgot to wipe data. So I simply got CWM through Odin....got into recovery wiped data....rebooted and voila! I'm back to stock no root. It took all of 1 minute to do. Maybe that will work for you too

This is how I get to recovery mode on my Samsung galaxy s blaze.
1.press the vol up + vol down + power button at the same time.
2.as soon as the Samsung logo light up I release power + vol down button but not releasing releasing vol up button but rather press it harder..and there it comes....may be someone might be having the difficulty I had before

Issues installing stock rom and stucking on stock recovery.

I'm really worried about this, I've tried to install SGH-I997-UCKE3-STOCK-One-Click and Stock_SGH_I997_UCLB3_Repartition-One-Click several times, sometimes I got the factoryfs upload failed error or the dbdatafs upload failed error in a given percentage (about 60% and 78%... sometimes at 100%), all in the Heimdall .jar file, which in other Infuses I've worked with I install them several times, so believe me I've tried this a lot of times and never fails me, this is my first time with this issue and I really need someone to help me here since this Infuse is not mine and it's starting to freak me out
After two or three tries, it goes well and install the stock rom perfectly, BUT, no matter wich one I install, Froyo or Gingerbread, it always stuck in stock recovery, I tried to wipe everything and restart... and then after the Samsung logo I get the stock recovery. I've see a bootloop several times, but this it's kinda different since after the Samsung logo the phone restarts and get the Samsung logo again... but being stuck in the stock recovery, well, this is the first time I see this.
The phone still have Download Mode, but I'm telling you, it gets those upload errors I described up here. I get the phone rooted and with Gingerbread 2.3.6, but my friend wanted me to reset everything and get it to stock Froyo or Gingerbread.
Can anyone help me with this?
Please.. thanks in advance.

after you successfully flash the stock rom, go to post #2 to flash the recovery kernel.
If you want to, before you flash recovery kernel, delete the voodoo folder in your sdcard.
The recovery kernel will convert your files system into voodoo ext4 from stock rfs

HI, I've had the same situation what i did to resolve it was that after flashing the rom (STOCK gingerbread) I've checked and flashed the bootloader and the phote started up normally.
Hope this will help.
Follow qkster's directions and you should be good!
Be careful if you decide to flash the bootloaders since a bad flash of those will hardbrick the phone.

[Q] Stuck in bootloop on LiquidSmooth

A few details before I start
I am on Galaxy S3 i535 from Verizon, was running CleanROM 5.6 for a few hours after coming from Codename Android that I was using for a few days(I've been going crazy with trying roms lately.)
I flashed LiquidSmooth 2.0 with CWM (never have used odin)
On all of these flashes before i did so I wiped system/factory reset, wiped cache and dalvik cache, and formatted system, cache, and data.
I had just finished flashing Liquid Smooth about an hour ago and was installing a few things with titanium back up. everything up until this point was going fine, got all my apps instaIlled and ready to go, and I head into the settings and try to turn on a few things and edit some settings in the Liquidsmooth settings.
Now my phone is stuck in a bootloop and I'm not sure what to do. I have tried power/volume down, power/home/volume up, power/home/volume down, and nothing will get it to reboot. I dont know whether or not it is safe to take out the battery and start from there, so if that is the route I should take, please let me know.
I have no experience with odin, but I can most definitely look that up so I wont need help there. Just some help on whether or not I should take out the battery or do something else. I just don't want to brick it in any way if that is avoidable:fingers-crossed :fingers-crossed:
Thanks to whoever can help me!
Edit:
I used the search a little better this time and saw people say pull battery on similar cases, and I did that, and I'm still stuck in bootloop. (It seems like in most of the threads I found pulling the battery was a given so people didnt mention it, but I needed to know for sure.) So I am still in the bootloop and am just going to boot into download mode and go from there.
Alright I was able to odin to stock, and now im back to square one.
Not sure how to delete threads :S

OP you are missing the point here. You have to take the battery out and put it back in before going to recovery. Once you have done that try vol-up/home/ power at the same time. Once samsung logog appears look at the top left if you see words release. it will boot to recovery. You can take it from there.
