DIY would be the option, find some good lenses and send them to be cut into small size;
get a small plastic wheel which looks like this

craft it from wood
main issue is of lenses, get them DIY will be half done!!!
I was wondering if android can use an iPhone(sorry to mention this here lol) wide-angle or fisheye lenses. Will it fit?

I like it. It has a certain appeal. As long as it is sufficiently thin, I think the block or slab look of it could work.

My calculations is that it would be around 10mm thick. a little thicker than an iPhone but not noticeable ( iPhone is 9.4 i believe )

That would be right at perfect, then. It could probably even go to 11mm. As that is the thickness of my HD2, which received praise from a friend for being very thin.

I can do some metal working, so I can probably make this phone by using another phone's internals. uhm...
I picked up a few of these for about $4.50 each and really like them quite a bit. They have a good feel to them and fit the phone perfectly. The buttons still have a nice soft feel when pressing them and don't feel stiff at all. The only thing I don't like is that the back isn't raised enough to protect the camera. Vser Bumper Case on Ebay.

Is the camera protected when laying flat?
I left my Google Nexus 5 on my bumper and it fell off at a busy intersection and was run over by cars and trucks. The touchscreen was totally destroyed.

I just replaced the touchscreen, and the phone works perfectly -- except the front facing camera is blurry. I know I can buy a replacement camera on eBay for $10, but figured I'd try and fix it if it was a simple fix. The main camera and rest of the phone works perfectly. Can the blurriness of the front camera be fixed?
After...
Rear (Main) Camera
Front Facing Camera
To me its definitely a hardware problem so nothing short of replacing it is gonna fix it. What exactly do you have in mind ?

Maybe the front-facing camera needs to be replaced. The lens is a pin-hole, maybe some broken glass or road debris got into the pin-hole. I'll make one attempt to clear out any debris from the pin-hole before I give up and just buy a replacement part.
Hey. Nice fix. U made it like new! If u don't need a front camera why bother?

I think you have to get a new front camera module.
BTW, what exactly is that DeWALT thing?
Just received the tempered glass one in the mail. I opened the package and saw this

yeah mine does too, but honestly, dont see a difference in quality for the cam pics
It's only an issue around the flash since it absorbs some light, and since there's no flash on the front, it doesn't matter. Mine's covering the camera too, no issue at all. I do have a hole for the lightsensor though.
"Edit: think twice about get this one. I was about to install but noticed that it covers up the front camera. I never use the front camera, but still. " Then why cry about it? Most the of the time its just glass so it aint a big problem that its over the lens anyways. But you can get good one's on ebay with the right holes for 3 bucks.
Looking to buy a new phone and want the best camera possible for under £300

And I will give you honest answer: Its all depend on person who take a picture. :]
Its not a joke, you can have great picture made using even old Sony Ericsson K800i or Nokia N95 because its all depend on person who make it: knowledge of framing, setting up lighting, and most important aspect that most of people dont take in to the account: post-processing.
Yes, editing image after taking it is something normal and SHOULD be made. If would need some really good eye and hand and knowledge of your camera to take perfect picture without editing it later.
Thanks for the replies gents, I ended up buying a note 5 and I'm very happy (old phone) but the eis/ois in video is exceptional.
Seems a great friendly sub forum also
I compare mine to my wife phone galaxy s7 edge, and the p9 bit s7 easily with camera shots especially in light condition, and also in low light condition when using the flash
