I don't know if anyone else seen this article, http://www.idigitaltimes.com/articl...alaxy-s3-verizon-bootloader-unlocked-code.htm , but it supposedly has the code for the locked Verizon bootloader. I have no idea how to interpret this or if its even helpful to the devs, I just thought I would post it in hopes someone can unlock the bootloader lol.
http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=search&searchValue=i535 is the link contained in the article that has the zip file for the source code.
Wrong forum dude...
Also use search as I'm sure everyone is already aware of this in the correct us sgsIII forum

So I've been looking around for a couple of days in hopes that someone would post a stock rom to flash back to but I haven't been able to locate one. I've searched the forum but wasn't able to find one (if you guys find one please let me know!).
It'd be nice if someone could give us any word as to whether or not the original STOCK rom is attainable to flash back to. I recently flashed a ROM but decided to go back to stock as it performed better, in my biased opinion of course.
If anyone knows of this please help! If your'e in the same boat as I am, please bump!
Thanks

Please follow the rules. If you didn't make "it," then "it" probably doesn't belong in the development forums. Moved to Q&A.

I wouldn't have caught that as the forum is dynamic; its always changing orders depending on most recent activity. Thanks for the link!

*I am not taking credit for this but please thank braway on the Galaxy Note Forums for posting this reset counter zip.
For anyone who flashed any custom downloads through odin, you might notice that the "Custom Binary Download" label (when you are in Download mode) has a number next to it. This is Samsung's way of tracking the custom downloads we place of our phones. If there is a "number" or "yes" next to your Custom Binary Download, you will not be able to send in your phone for a replacement or a repair service (warranty void). BUT, braway on the Galaxy Note forums made a zip file where you can reset the counter and make it look as if your phone was never flashed through odin. Here is the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1569206
Note that this zip was made for the Galaxy Note but cdshepherd on the Galaxy SII Skyrocket forums tested it out and was the one who figured out that this also worked for our Skyrocket. Also Thank you for zaptor99 for introducing this idea of flashing the zip on our phones.
Thanks for posting this in dev section when it was already posted.
Thanks again for reposting it here after you already put it in the dev section.
Now that you've gotten warmed up on your writing skills, go brush up on the reading skills. Start with the rules.

Haha, way to spam the boards, bro!!
omg... is this the 3rd or 4th post by OP on this? It's like Inception Deja Vu. Maybe it's a conspiracy by Samsung/ATT to throw up some smoke and mirrors on XDA so we won't be able to find the real post on resetting the flash counter when we need to....
Actually this is the incorrect one, that's for GNOTE, I posted in Dev section and thanks to braway it works...it was tweaked to work for skyrocket AT&T & Rogers thanks to cdshepherd...check it out.

OP: "I'm going to keep reposting this because I don't know what the hell I'm doing!"
He's trolling nobody can be this stupid. (I still have faith in humanity)
So I have pretty basic knowledge of the android system and how to tweak with it. I have done some basic rooting and flashing in the past. I am about to but an off contract s3 so I was wondering whether I should go ahead and buy the locked verizon phone or wait it out for the unlocked developer phone that Samsung is about to put out.

You're in the wrong forum.
This is for the international version.
Go to the Verizon forums and ask there.

You don't need ten posts to post in the general section for the US version.
At&t, tmo, sprint and vzw are all in the same forum, you should go there.

Noticed that ICS is now ready for download for T-Mobile Galaxy 2, praying for a port to galaxy blaze, anyone going to try and port it?? If not, any opinions on best custom rom and tweaks would be welcome!!

LOL, another thread for ICS on the blaze? I believe this has been covered a number of times now.
Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I understand it is possible to port ICS over from another phone however that requires creating a kernel from scratch. Doing so is extremely time-consuming and difficult and there's no point for a dev to work on that when we're slated to get an official release on our phone in the (hopefully) near future.

This type of comment/question doesn't belong here in the "Android Development" section. Please use the General section for this. Also please familiarize yourself with the 'search' feature. As someone else stated there are like half a dozen threads about this already. Also please read this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1699450
I would also ask our community to NOT respond to these posts when they are in the wrong section. If someone can't read or help themselves by searching and learning from what is already posted here their question doesn't deserve a response. Not trying to be rude here, but seriously there has been 2 of these kinds of posts in the dev section in the last month.
Then don't be rude.

thank you you must be smarter than me . it was a question for a developer to see therefore posted in this section, not being for actual development would be also incorrect, so maybe i can see through your eyes as you see this post in the incorrect spot although my post is still in guidance of forum rules but whatever you say works best...where ever the answers may lie big boss man

This is for development releases. You are not releasing anything development wise. That's why xda has a great Q & A section

But to answer your question. No. You need root access to get into a secure area of your device
