When I got the TF I set up my gmail account to back up all the tablet info on as a hotmail account.
Now though, I want to change this email account to another hotmail account but Android (now) only let's you use a gmail account. Is there any way around this nuisance?
And no, please don't suggest I get a gmail account.
All of your apps that you have bought are linked to that account and there is no way of changing that afaik. The only way you could get it semi working is to link the accounts and set up auto forwarding

Have an exchange account set up and also a Gmail IMAP account setup. Both have been working fine since Friday when I got the phone and flashed to NATF 1.1.
I rebooted my phone this morning following a Advance Config change to turn off Assisted GPS and now from the TF3D mail page, I can see my Gmail account, flip thru the messages there, but I can't open them or go to my inbox. Pressing inbox sends me to the account picker which only displays Messages and Exchange. If I'm in my Exchange inbox and flick to the next account, I can get to messages but not Gmail. If I try to add a new account named Gmail, it refuses since there is an account already by that name.
Is there any way to recover or delete Gmail without it appearing in the Account list?

You might have better luck posting this in the Question and Answers forum. It's a general question that applies across devices, so you will get more eyes on it there.

I just added another Gmail2 account. It's annoying to have 3 accounts on the TF3D, but I'll probably flash something else in a couple days anyway, so why bother?
Thanks for the tip though.
Seemingly ridiculous question that should have an easy answer, but with Windows, may not.
How do I enable my Fuze to access and display more than one MSN or Hotmail type account? Currently after flashing with a new ROM, I go to mail and then set up my .msn account. But after that one account, when I try and set up my .hotmail account, the WLM configuration tool forces me to access the hotmail account online.
I just one two mailboxes I can toggle between as I can if my other account were a yahoo account or anything else. Microsoft seems to be deliberately limiting you to only ONE of their accounts via mobile access.
set the second hotmail account as POP3 and the first one using WLM
Hi,
I'm using an WM6.1 Sprint HTC Snap right now. I'm using my gmail account as an exchange server and that is my primary email account for both receiving and sending emails. I also use my hotmail account very occasionally so I just recently set that up too.
My problem is that after I added the hotmail account, any time I try to send an email it automatically defaults to the hotmail account to send from, and also when I open up my inbox it always shows the hotmail account first.
Is there any way to make it default to sending through the outlook exchange (gmail) account and default to that inbox first? This is really annoying me and I might as well just remove the hotmail account if this is not changeable.
When I set up my Xoom, I connected it to my Google account, which does NOT have a "gmail.com" domain, or gmail.
I have since found that Voice Search will only search contacts associated with the gmail account.
If I try and add gmail to my Google account, it tells me I will need to change my primary account name on the account to something new, in "gmail.com".
If I do this, how would I point the Xoom to this new Google account name, to still have stay connected with my backups, market purchases, etc?
Thanks!
eric
My college (UCD) give us out a customised gmail account with our timetable, email and all on it. I had it synced with my old GS2 grand.
But now when i add the account to my phone it wont show up on my calendar even though it says it is synced. BTW my normal google account syncs fine.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Maybe because it's a shared calendar. So events are not created with your "customized gmail account", but with your college's and those events are shared with you. To sync every calendar, follow these steps. It works for me well.
another gmail Q
i keep getting duplicates of each email i recieve. in my phone under "settings", "email+accounts" i have my google gmail acount set up, i also signed in to my microsoft account to download the apps and get my avatar from xbox on the phone. the username for my microsoft account is my gmail. could this be the problem? any help is appreciated, thanx:fingers-crossed:
Google has removed calendar sync via ActuveSync.
Check out this post on the Outlook blog about using Outlook.com to check/send your Gmail account. This will let you use your existing email on your Windows Phone by adding only your Microsoft account to your phone, and you don't have to change your email address or anything. Also, I use my gmail address as my Microsoft account login, and it is fine. Your MS Account login can be any email you want.

Next, this post on wpcentral explains how to import those gmail calendars into your Microsoft account via Outlook.com. Hopefully it will help you.
