Gmail & ebay app issues - HTC One S

I cannot send a new email with an attachment from the Gmail app but I can forward one which was received with an attachment! (I can receive new emails with attachments ok). Sending new text only emails are fine.
The HTC mail widget seems ok when i've set it up to Gmail and sends new mails with attachments so it must be the Gmail app itself at fault and not my settings, maybe they screwed something up with the move to ICS?
Anyone else with this problem?
Also in the ebay app i cant view any messages, keep getting a "messages not retrieved, socket error......" when i try open the inbox, sent items etc.
Is this an ICS issue?
Phone is a HTC One S (ICS 4.0.3) on Giffgaff UK phone network.

clearly app cache and data?

Yep, even uninstalled.
Got home and on my wifi it seems fine, both ebay messages and sending new mails with attachments via Gmail.
Tried Pocket Auctions and i can get the ebay messages up ok in that when on mobile internet.

Yes but you can't use the Gmail app. You have to use the HTC email app. It is preloaded on the phone. Under the settings is a option to tell it how often you want it checked. I don't understand why anyone would want to use it though when the Gmail app is true push mail and notifies you instantly if you get new mail.
Anyone know how to get push mail on the email app because I do like it's interface better than the Gmail app but I want my emails instantly without an app needing to check for new mail.
You could try setting up the htc email app using the active sync settings for gmail (like you would on windows mobile).
I have not tried this on the sensation but gmail had push enabled through active sync on other devices so I assume it would work.

[Q] Facebook Notification Problem

Hi there.
Altough I've searched it through Desire S forum, I couldn't find anything about it. I've been using Endymion V3.5 ROM for about a week and I can't get any Facebook notifications. I've done all settings on the app and phone's accounts and sync. But nothing happened. All other social network notifications works perfect e.g. Instagram, Foursquare, Twitter. Just Facebook resists. Wondering is it about ROM or anything else? I've started using Facebook after I've installed this ROM btw. I haven't been using it since 2009. Thus, I can't say anything about my previous use.
So is there anything I can do about it?
Thanks for your help.
Did you install Facebook and Facebook Messenger? Notifications are working again since I uninstalled the extra messenger..

It didn't work, I get a friend request but there was no notification even though I installed the messenger app. Any other ideas?

It's the app. The push notifications don't work.
@john, I've read yours wrong first. Messenger app wasn't installed. Nothing changed.
@fini what to do?

You could Try the App " Friendcaster ".
Just login with your Fb credentials & allow the app access to your Fb profile.
The App has everything you need, from notifications.... To Syncing your Fb friends list!

Friendcaster didn't send notifications either.
Now I'm wondering is it because I've cleared all notifications for mail.

Email issues?

Anybody having any problems with emails not loading or supplying links within them? My emails never show pictures or what the email actually is, just a lot of nothing. Any ideas?

Is this problem within G-mail or the HTC Mail app?
