[Resolved] Router reboot sending gmail? - General Questions and Answers

Hello,
I have a strange error. When ever l try and send an email on my android threw gmail with more than one photo [ie I send multiple from gallery] my comcast cable modem reboots and gmail will not send the email after that. I have to clear the saved data in manage apps to be able to send any email after it happens. Any help would be awesome.

Cannot delete email from server

I have checked the "delete from server" option and it won't work. When I select delete when email is retrieved it does work, but I would like keeping some emails I need on the server so that is not an option. BTW, this is with hotmail server, anyone else have this problem? Thanks!

Gmail & ebay app issues

I cannot send a new email with an attachment from the Gmail app but I can forward one which was received with an attachment! (I can receive new emails with attachments ok). Sending new text only emails are fine.
The HTC mail widget seems ok when i've set it up to Gmail and sends new mails with attachments so it must be the Gmail app itself at fault and not my settings, maybe they screwed something up with the move to ICS?
Anyone else with this problem?
Also in the ebay app i cant view any messages, keep getting a "messages not retrieved, socket error......" when i try open the inbox, sent items etc.
Is this an ICS issue?
Phone is a HTC One S (ICS 4.0.3) on Giffgaff UK phone network.
clearly app cache and data?

Yep, even uninstalled.
Got home and on my wifi it seems fine, both ebay messages and sending new mails with attachments via Gmail.
Tried Pocket Auctions and i can get the ebay messages up ok in that when on mobile internet.

Email behavior is wierd now

I have 4 email accounts and they all sync 'ed perfectly until this week. Something must have updated, but I cant figure out what. All accounts are POP. Twice, my Gmail and Yahoo email accounts marked 25 emails as Unread. They each are set to load 25 messages, I re-read them and they get set to "read" until I Sync then they get set back to "unread". I deleted the Yahoo email acct & recreated it, and that fixed it, until tonight when it happened again, my unread count is 50 again. I rebooted out of desperation, but I'm still at 50 unread emails. Any ideas?
I sold my iPad for the SGN which was the best techie decision I made in a long time-but that means my support network is not helpful anymore! If the answer to every question is "Buy a Mac/ IPad" I'm going to scream! <sorry for Venting>

Check your tablet email program settings. That's what was wrong when I had a similar issue.
Do you remember the setting you changed to resolve the problem when you had it? The settings on mine look ok and I haven't change anything for a while. Thx.

Updates change settings without meaning to. What client are you using?
The app info says "email 4.0". I looked at all the settings for both Yahoo and Gmail. Didn't see anything odd.

I use MailDroid. Sorry I can't help.
OK-thx anyway. Has anyone else experienced this?

Boxer doesn't have exchange support for hotmail.com and outlook.com I'm trying to load the previous stock email app and exchange services. After I enter my username/password it prompts for which exchange services to sync (calendar, email, contacts) and after I click continue I get Unfortunately email stopped working.
It seems even trying to revert to the old email app doesn't work.
By the way - I have not rooted and still @ stock cm11.
