The metadata feature available in Bluetooth profile AVRCP 1.3 is what I am looking for today. I am pretty sure that all of the OEM or custom Gingerbread ROMS available use the AVRCP 1.0 version. My question is AVRCP 1.3 being implement in any of the ICS ports (recently working bluetooth versions) listed to the super thread in this forum for the Samsung Infuse?

your best bet is to ask on the cm9 thread:

This ROM is exactly what I have been wanting. Apparently in ICS 4.0 they implement AVRCP 1.3 or later because now I have Artist / Title information displaying on my car stereo (Kenwood KDC-796). As far as I can tell Bluetooth is working great. My Infuse now can handed SMS messaging via the car stereo unit. Bluetooth audio (music) - A2DP and call quality are perfect. I am sure someone else has probably already mentioned this somewhere in this thread, but I just wanted to thank the person who created UNI-yuma-PoRN Buiild 40.

Im trying to find a widget that will allow me to switch between my a2dp headphones, mono headset, and a2dp car stereo with one click. Anyone got any ideas?
Ive searched and I found http://www.appbrain.com/app/bluetooth-a2dp-switcher-widget/info.yt1300.a2dpswitcher However it doesnt work on 2.2 Theres 2 versions available and the eclair and donut versions FC on Froyo.
you might give Super Mono Froyo Trial a shot http://www.appbrain.com/search?q=Super+BT+Mono
Love it and have Pro version for my EVO and Plantronics Voyager Pro but dont know if it will do exactly what you are wanting to. Obviously you will need free froyo version of the 4. Liked it so much like I said I bought full version to stream through Voyager Pro. Hope it does what you want.
Hey guys,
I'll start with a disclaimer, I only just installed this headunit, so it could be a headunit compatibility issue - I'll pull out my Atrix at some stage and try pairing that, but it's in a drawer at work at the moment.
When pairing my One X with my Kenwood DDX4038BT, I get phonebook, phone calls, audio (with play/pause/next/back working) all without issue - however when playing audio, the headunit does not display the track, artist and album tags on screen. I've googled for a bit and there's been some implications that it may be an issue with the stock Music app.
If this is the case, can someone suggest a known working alternative, and is it possible to get this alternative embedded in Car Mode? (I'm unlocked and rooted, only running stock ROM at the moment, but happy to do whatever is necessary)
If it's not the case, has anyone been able to get audio tags to display, and if so, how?
Cheers!
That's because HTC does not support Bluetooth profile AVCRP 1.3. I have been also looking for a solution or mod but no luck so far.
Ah-hah... now I understand that, google is a little more help... it looks as though AVCRP 1.3 was in a CM9 nightly at some stage, I'm just not sure if it's in the CM9 build for One X
Coming from the Desire Z, and having flashed many a ROM on that phone, I can tell you that HTC Sense ROMs never display the track title, artist, album info on car head units. This includes various Sense build from Sense 2.X and 3.x. So its no surprise that this phone is not displaying the track info on my car head unit. This jives with what calin75 stated. My old phone running CM7 displayed the track info on my car stereo just fine. If this is a big deal for you, then CM should be your solution.
By the way, this forum is for the US/Canada version of the One X, with the Snapdragon S4 chipset. You probably want to be here:

This is my first post on XDA after some extensive searching, so here goes...
I recently rooted, S-OFFed, etc. and I'm no longer able to stream audio to my Tundra over bluetooth. Phone calls work ok & music plays ok in Apollo, but no streaming from TuneIn, Pandora, Netflix, etc.
I have tried about a half dozen different ROMs (both ICS and JB) and the only one that I have found to work is ViperS, but I would rather not use a Sense-based ROM. I'm guessing that other Sense-based ROMs will work as well.
My searching has narrowed this down to the AVRCP profile used in the AOSP/AOKP ROMs having been upgraded from AVRCP 1.0 to 1.3/4, which only seems to affect Toyota head units (maybe some other specific makes/models). I found a related topic on the Samsung forum (not allowed to post a link yet) but unfortunately I cannot find a reasonably current Sensation-compatible ROM that still uses AVRCP 1.0
Any suggestions?
Just an update, in case anyone else has read this and had similar issues with Toyota Bluetooth...
I was able to get full streaming functionality with Virtuous Inquisition, but unfortunately that rom has not been updated in several months and it had some other issues that hindered daily use. I've moved on to a Nexus 4, and streaming works great with the latest 4.2 AOKP roms. The wife has inherited my Sensation and is perfectly content with just plugging in the AUX cable
Hello
I need AVRCP 1.3 (or newer) to be able to see songs titles on my car radio when steraming music from phone using A2DP.
Generally I wonder about AVRCP 1.3 (or newer) support for desire S.
I have read few things so please clarify
1. As I understand by default android roms have AVRCP 1.0 verison support and it's implemented into kernel.
2. I read that CM9 had AVRCP 1.3 impemented (so technicly any rom based on CM9 should give me what i want) True or false?
3. CM10 has only base AVRCP 1.0 support.
Is there any desire s room with avrcp 1.3 support?
I did not with either stock ROM or ViperXL, Media info is blank. I know my head unit supports it as I had it with my Iphone.
The HTC Bluetooth stack doesn't support the Bluetooth profile AVRCP 1.3 by which track title, artist, etc. are displayed on the head unit.
On my old phone (Desire Z) switching to an AOSP ROM would allow the track info to be displayed. But no AOSP ROM I've tried on the One X does it.

drat, is this something HTC would likely later add into the stack?
