Guys I am owning an Xperia x10, is there any way where I can update my handset to any higher version using the memory card I have, as USB inst functioning.
Not sure what you want. But for installing a newer version of the original Sony Android you have to put your phone through the usb-cable onto you PC and flash the new version via seus or sony pc companion.
If you have CWM installed you can install customfirmware and packages with sd.

Hello, I recently purchased a Roger's Xperia Arc S LT18a and looking to root it using "DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit [v4] (zergRush Exploit)". I understand this will void my warranty. However I do have a few questions I'm hoping to get clarification on before doing so.
1) On the box it said free upgrade to Android 4.0 however when I select Update on the phone it tells me my phone is up to date. It's possible the update is not yet available. Is there another way of updating it?
2) If I root the phone, will I still be able to perform this update once it's available? Or will the rooting process somehow prevent me from doing so.
3) Will I be able to unroot in the event I need to send for warranty?
Any positive input is appreciated. Thanks

Hello Friends,
All I want to do is to copy the rom content from one chinese MID tablet (which is working well) to another equal hardware chinese MID Tablet.
Do I have to root them both first?
How do I root them?
best regards,
heagueron

I previously rooted my phone via UNLOCK ROOT, however my phone recently updated its software and now UR won't root the phone. I've also tried SuperOneClick, but it just gets stuck on "Running rageagainstthecage..."
I'm fairly new to this, so please help me out by "dumbing it down for me!"

Do you mean you can't flash a custom rom, or the official update doesn't work. Because if sony isn't going to update your phone, you can't update it via the official way. Then you have to search a custom rom who has android 4.0.

I know that Sony released ICS on your phone but you have to wait for (surely is not released for your region yet)
