Any idea if this has the famous emmc bricked bug that is found on gs2 and gnote?

@fatbuccha
This is an official release not a leaked ROM as the buggy XXLQ5, if you look at Sammobile the fault GS2 ROM is marked with red alert :
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=GT-I9100&r=-1#modelsa

Do they not release updates for the same device in every country at once, or is it all staggered?

when the rOOT?

There are 2 files in zip. Where do I put them in odin (I've done it via odin before on phones but there were 4 files)?

just dropping by to say WooooHooo!
and also Jelly Bean AOSP just released as well.
now all we need source code from Samsung.

6200L
will it work also on 6200L?

i hope the root file will come soon. i already try this ROM.
and i hope custom ROM like aorth's will be developed more for better battery and performance.

it have additional ram to 830mb in Honnycomb was 771mb maybe im not sure.

Nice, I've got 775 MB now on HC.
I was worried it will be less coz I think I saw 6xx on Tab 2.

Nothing for P6210?

I think the FlashKernel is built from a Gingerbread source. It would not work since you are on Froyo. I may be wrong on this though.

Hi Joker9, i've just tried with my i9003L and it didn't work also. Are you using UBKB1 (Froyo)? I am using UBPKD (Ginger) and maybe the problem is that with this firmware the phone display that it is a i9003L instead of a i9003.
There are no diferences bettwen those models, but maybe Mobile Odin just see that there is no i9003 and yes an i9003L.
The best would be to ask Chainfire.
EDIT: it is done. I asked Chainfire:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22282988&postcount=807
EDIT2: Yes, that was the problem. Chainfire is working in it. If you want Mobile Odin right now, you have to change your firmware. If it is identified like a GT-i9003 it won't work. With other firmware like XXKB3, XXKPH, XXKPQ, etc. it will display i9003 and will work.
hi Uan_ar yes i using the UBKB1 thanks for asking chainfire so thats the problem....well i must wait for a new update of mobile odin for use in my i9003 or install other firmware thank you!
Done!
Chainfire did it again!

About that subject. I don't know if they work in Froyo. I tried TeamUtterChaos kernel (v4, v7 and v8) on XXKPQ and was all fine. Now i am in UBKPD and with kernel Vurrut v5, and it's ok too. Those are Gingerbread versions.
To try with froyo... be carefull and do a backup.
Before all, make a backup of the efs folder.
c u.
By the way.... chainfire did it because with your post we detect the problem and gave him all the tools he needed to fix it

When I was on Nexus S , the ICS 4.0.3 OTA was around 128mb size (sure skyrocket ICS would be bigger), which is big file size for an OTA (I installed it using fastboot and CWM recovery) so when it will come for the skyrocket it would be difficult to do from just the phone itself...

Do i have to have stock recovery or do i have to update keis to 2.5.2.13021_10?
If a stock recovery is the issue, is there a flashable zip of stock recovery :3
You need a stock recovery for kies to update yes. Sometimes to get it to recognize you need to have kies troubleshoot drivers.

I am predicting a late January test build showing up on SamMobile with a OTA of late Feb or March.

probably, i hope by late january or early febuary we could get at least one jellybean build for p6200. the blobs might help a little for cm10(or 10.1 by that time), but i don't know how much it will help, perhaps the video playing problem could be solved, and maybe a smoother "buttery" jellybean.

I ment a JB leak, not official one

Cannot Upgrade to ICS or JB P6200L - Complete(write) fail

When I got my Tab 7 Plus, it cames with th 3.2 Firmware. After a while I upgraded it to 4.0.3 official leak. Now When I try to flash the official 4.1.2, I get the "Complete(Write) operation failed" error.
I tried going back to 4.0.3 but nada. Tried some other country firmwares. Nothing. Flashing a 3.2 did work. Then i tried to go from 3.2 to 4.1.2, and can't either
Help.
Cheers,
Paul
I dont think the JB was made for 6200L.
Could be why. now you may need a .pit file.

Thanks for the idea.
After posting the problem yesterday, I continued searching for a solution and fiddling with it.
I recalled that on the first update attempt, I had checked "repartition" and used a PIT file from an unspecified Samsung tablet. It then occurred to me that the PIT file could be the issue so I downloaded a new one specifically for P6200 from droiddevelopers.com (cannot post the link due to forum rules)
Did it work? YES, PROBLEM SOLVED! I am now running official Jelly Bean.
Moral of the story is NEVER check "repartition" unless you have the specific PIT file for your device. If you still prefer repartitioning with each update, please download the correct PIT file from the above link.

Not sure why everyone talks about build date.
The changelog is going to be your one guarantee that a firmware is in anyway different or identical to the one you already have
Quite often build dates might be different because of scheduling of the coding etc

Thanks for this. As a new comer to the Android world and having just got my S4, I note this is the firmware on my phone (online import to Australia). However, could you confirm for me:
this is a link to the Stock ROM should I need to return the original OS,
that despite this, I can still follow published methods for rooting my phone (eg "Root the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean using Motochopper tool",
there is no problem with me moving to a British based Custom ROM such as described here "Update Galaxy S4 I9505 to official XXUAMDM Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Firmware", and finally
Does the region software is designed for (eg Hong Kong vs Europe) have an impact on the phone's functionality and hardware abilities?
