Problem with the keydock - undock/re-dock - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need some help here.
I gave my son the keydock for his tf300. The dock is working like a charm, but once the tablet has been undocked, he is not able to redock until he connects the power cord to the dock. As soon as the power has been connected, the dock is working, and he can then remove the power cord again.
I don't know, if this is a common problem or a faulty keydock. Could someone please give me a hint.
This message was send from my Xperia S
>>> If nothing goes right, go left<<<

This seams like a faulty dock mine doesn't do that. I can redock whenever i wan't no issues and no need for the power cord.
I would contact Asus see what they say.

Thank you
Try hard restarting your tablet, hold the power for 20 seconds and let go.

Just got my TF700 - Does your dock do this crap too?

Just got this tablet and dock, which as a combo is incredibly sexy... I have many thoughts about this device which I would love to share later, but for now I have to know if your dock behaves like mine:
When I insert the tablet into the dock, i initially get no recognition. If i plug it in to the charger while docked, it instantly recognizes it. I can then unplug it from the charger and it is connected and the keys/mouse pad work. However if I close the screen, I must repeat this process. I have not found another way to make the tablet see the dock.
The latch is secured, the charger charges the tablet and dock through the dock connector.
Is this normal? If so, its retarded. If not, have I missed a dock power button or something?
Do I need to ship this POS back to amazon or what?
Otherwise I love this thing as a package. Devs need to crank out more Teg3 games though. #gameloftchokes

keyboard's touchpad doesn't work after connecting usb mouse

,hi all,
yesterday i connected a usb wireless mouse to the infinity,
i unmounted the usb and closed the screen.
when i opened the infinity today i noticed the touchpad doesn't work,
tried to restart and all, look for something in the settings menu, nothing.
the keyboard works, i'm writing from it right now.
the touchpad is working for 2 sec and i can see the pointer moving when the device is up..
so i don't think the keyboard is the problem..
any suggestions?
thanks
using default stock rom i didn't change any frimware (just updated when it first came up)
Not sure if this will help, but have you tried pressing the toggle touchpad button on the dock?
From the top-left, its the fourth to the right (looks like a mouse with a diagonal slash through it)
This is on the TF201 dock, I'm hoping its the same on the Infinity dock!
oh **** stupid me, thank you dude!
thanks!
Just confirmed that the touchpad *does* continue to work properly, even after/when an external mouse is attached...

[Q] dock issues

So I've been searching the forums and can't seem to tell if anyone else is having the same problem as me. Just got a brand new in box tablet and dock from best buy. Every thing was working great until this morning. Went to use the dock and the key board doesn't work nor does the track pad and buttons.. The tablet isn't recognizing it as being connected.
The weird thing is that it seems to be charging when it is connected and plugged in. Also the tablet reads the flash drive I put in the USB port.
Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me. Thanks in advance.
hi,
is the battery of the dock empty ?
you can also try to put it back to factory default.
gr,
Did you try reboot tablet? Once my tablet didnt recognise dock too and reboot helped.
@up
When battery in dock is empty its using one in tablet. However he can try to charge it. Why not? Maybe there is a problem with his dock when its battery is empty

I have the same issue, so I contacted ASUS support and they told me to request an RMA.

USB Kit for TF700 turns screen off???

I recently purchased the ASUS USB Kit that was compatible with the TF700. However, whenever I go to insert the USB adapter into the device (empty or even with a a flash drive) it shuts my screen off. I go to turn my screen back on and it flashes for a second and the screen turns back off. Finally, when I unplug the drive, my screen comes back on and I have a notification icon that says "SD card has been removed". I searched some forms and didn't see anyone else having this issue. Is there something in the settings I need to do?? USB debugging is enabled as I am running the latest, stable CM 10.1. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Never seen that happen before... and we have a ton of these sold. I would contact ASUS for an RMA? Seems like a defect.
OR... there are copycat devices that I have seen. If you have the unofficial ASUS USB Kit then you may have more of an issue. The genuine original ASUS ones we have seem to not have any defects at all!
