The title says it all. When I reboot, sometimes it boots into the Phone app. Yes, the dialer. Then I press the home and multitask buttons a few times until the Loading message comes up, loading the actual Sense launcher.
What the hell?
Had this before a recent fabric reset as well.

Happens to me on Axiom as well. It doesn't bother me at all.

I would guess sense is crashing at start. You can check the logcat to see what's going on. Otherwise clearing cache on sense and rebooting might help.

Sounds like you're trying to unlock the phone too fast right when it boots. With sense right when the phone boots up give it 30seconds-1min to load then unlock the screen.. if you wait that time. You won't see loading ans you'll be good to go.

I'll try that next time it happens, and do some reboots to verify.

Not the case at all, I let it load, most of the times the screen even stays black for a while. It has nothing to do with user interaction. Even so, it would only mean I could crash Sense, not lauch the Phone app, for which I don't even have the icon on any homescreen or the dock. (I use the People app instead.)

If your talking about the line over the widget, does it go away if you remove the widget?
Have you tried a reboot? There are a few things that might be asked, or tried before you simply just post a problem. You cant just say why would you do.
What did you do to try and fix it?
Reboot? I was getting lines like that. Then they got worse but they have gone now after a reboot

I've moved the widget to a different screen/removed the widget and then the line moves above the battery widget. I've rebooted, I've pulled batt, held power button 30 secs, put batt back in, turned on and still there.
EDIT: When the lines go to the battery widget the lines are on the bottom of the widget.

I would do a factory reset and see if it occurs again. If it occurs with stock widget then get a new one. If it only happens with those widgets, they wont replace it just becase a 3rd party widget is causing you problems.

The battery widget is a HTC Widget. And even with the mini widget not on the screen they show under it. I'll try the factory reset. Ill report back when I get it set up again...

I also just noticed you sig says glacier. This is the Snesation thread. If your running a Glacier and have a custom ROM, then that might be your issue also.

Has it came back after u reboot? Cuz I've done factory reset, and rebooted and it still comes back within 30 min.

So I found out instead of rebooting everytime, cuz this happens alot to me. Just go to settings, applications, manage applications, and hit all, scroll down until u find HTC sense theres 2, hit the top one and hit force stop, hit ok, then lightly or however u prefer, run ur finger over the home icon, and the lines should be gone until next time.
This is what happens when I turn it off and back on

How long has it sat on the HTC screen? Are you sure it is the bootloader HTC screen? All ROMs, when fresh installed, will show the white HTC logo after opening the lock screen the first time while loading the setup wizard. It can take up to a couple minutes(and even longer, once for me) to get past it.

Check the md5 sum as well. Best bet is to redownload it all together and start fresh.
Hello,
Hard reset, factory. My one x is becoming unresponsive and sluggish, usually about 20 minutes after a reboot. I have nothing on this phone. we're just using the web browser, and touches don't register. I thought that it may be a screen defect, and it still may well be. But it seems odd to me that after a fresh reboot, or by turning off the phone and letting it "chill out" the phone becomes responsive again.
Basically how do I tell if this is a hardware defect or a software defect? I am locked, running at&t 1.85 stock. I have tried the hardware tests and of course everything passes.
Thanks
Did you try the ruu yet and if it still happens probably the digitizer or whatever has a defect

Do you have fastboot enabled still? I don't think you'll get true, full reboot if it is. You've not down loaded any apps or anything? Was it doing this since you bought the phone or did it start occurring just out of the blue? I'm assuming your not rooted or anything, right?
It's a rather odd issue that I've never heard of before.

To find out if the touchscreen is registering touches, do this when it starts becoming sluggish:
Go to settings -> developer options -> pointer location
See if whenever you touch the phone it overlays a blue line.

The "Fast boot" option in Setting/Power only apply to powering off, than on again. Holding down the power button, then selecting Restart will give you a true reboot, even with fast boot enabled.

Thanks alot. I am still investigating this. I thought that I did not have any third party apps installed, but it looks like the culprit may be Virtua Tennis.
I have found that some Android apps even after closed or reboot still take control of certain aspects of the phone. The pin ball games do it. Its not until I delete them does it stop.

Need some help here...been running AOKP unofficial just fine for a while then all of a sudden my phone starts acting crazy and the flash will go off and then start vibrating and try to reboot, then it kinda gets stuck in a mini boot loop. I have to hold down the power button to get it to fully reboot properly. So i thought it might be a bad app. I uninstalled some apps and it kept doing it. So I wiped and installed the latest AOKP unofficial rom. it did it a couple of times even with no apps on the phone. One thing ive also notice is when I push the power button to sleep/lock, It comes right back on to the lockscreen...Thoughts?
Power button, it's in the beginning stages of being totally stuck

My Old Skyrocket I'm letting my son use, is rebooting also. I notice if i barely touch the power button, it wants to go black, or even prompts to reboot. Extremely sensitive. I'll give this a go within the next few days and hopefully this will get him back in business.

anyone else have an issue where when in dialer and they press the button to go to the number screen they have to press it twice. Everytime I press it, it opens a blank screen and I have to back out then press it again to make the numbers appear. This is between 2 nexus 5's now. My replacement does the same thing. I thought it was a glitch from romming my phone but since google sent me my new one it does it to on stock rooted rom.
Also When I unplug my headset it goes straight to speaker mode and I have to press the button twice to turn it off. Also between 2 phones.
Just want to know if this is an issue for most or just me, and it would be weird its happening with both phones. Thanks
Yes mine does it too. Annoying bug for sure.

This happens to me when I turn off animations in Developer Options.
That explains it because I always disable animations. Thanks.
