So I was following a tutorial on how to put stock fw on the t959v but the files he provided was not for the t959v but the vibrant. So I got the phone stuck into boot loop, after hours of trying to get out of it it finally switched from boot looping to an alternate download mode. I didn't even need to hold the keys to get it into download mode I just had to turn on the phone.
Anyways I followed this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1603656&highlight=firmware+upgrade+fail
which lead me to this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21953878&postcount=2
And that got me out of the alternate download mode. But now its stuck at boot loop again!
I keep trying using odin but it always fails or goes into another boot loop. Please help, this isn't even my phone.
Okay now the phone is stuck in a constant boot loop and I can't get it into download mode. The amount of threads I read don't help at all because the solution is in download mode which I can't get into.
PLEASE HELP SOMEBODY!

Please please give bhundven the namesake for the One-Click as he made it for us. I wrote the guide ONLY. I don't want to see it called lumin30's Heimdall One-Click. Thanks!
I did use heimdall, but thats what got my phone in a constant boot loop. Now it won't even boot up in download mode. I think it may be bricked. What can I do now?
You tried the three button combo to get in download mode?

three button? I tried the volume up+down and inserting the USB cable. It goes straight to the charging screen then a black screen, then back to the charging screen.

That's not the way. Pull battery, plug phone into computer via usb, hold down BOTH volume buttons, insert battery(while still holding down the volume buttons). That will get you to DL mode.

Tried it, no luck :/ Same thing happens I see the charging screen (grey'd out) then it goes black, and then I see the charging screen again.

Actually this will work as long as you are holding the buttons and plugging the phone in at the same time and wait til the splash screen gets bright then let go...there are three different ways to get into download mode...you and also do it from cwm screen too...
Back on Barebones
Anymore input? I'd really like to get those phone running again, seeing as it's not mine. I'm guessing it's bricked since I can't get it into download mode.
Finally got it to work! Got it into download mode by holding down the volume down button and power button while inserting the battery. The mistake was holding down both volume keys, I guess that only works sometimes. After download mode I downloaded the file
"java -jar T959VUVKJ6_STOCK-UVKJ6-One-Click.jar" located in Lumins signature (second link) and flashed, after that the phone started boot looping again. So I tried it again this time clicking "flash bootloaders" and voila! The phone booted up and now it works!
Thanks everyone for the help! I'll be sure to click the thanks button!
Hope this post helped out other people with my problem!
Good job!

I cannot seem to get my gtab to boot anymore. I was in the middle of flashing it a week ago and I hit the power button in the middle of the process, and it shut off. I have been unable to boot it beyond a black screen since then.
I tried to put cwmod on the microsd card and hold power + volume up while booting but nothing happens.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
Yeah - I bricked mine as well trying to get rid of the birds. Will post link to my fix shortly.

Awesome, thanks guys nvflash did the trick!
help!
I had a very similar issue but I don't see how nvflash will help. My tablet refuses to load at all after a failed rom attempt. I don't get the load screen and I definitely can't do the power + volume button reset.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Note that nvFlash is power - volume, not power + volume that's used to get into recovery mode. while using nvflash, you need to have tablet to be connected to the pc in order to run nvflash. when power - volume is pressed, screen appears to be turned off on the tablet, until you run nvflash.bat on pc to push the stock rom. Hope that helps..
The black screen after the "birds logo" or even when you power on and don't get the logo is when the tablet is stuck in APX mode. It is hard to tell the difference between tablet off and tablet on in apx mode.
The best thing to do is plug in USB to the PC and see if the tablet shows up as a device (check device manager on Windows). If there is nothing popping up in Dev. Manager then try pressing the power button again to turn it on. Even though the screen still looks off, the device should come up and you can access it with nvflash.
As others have said, using nvflash to get back to stock, or even just flashing CWM recovery will sometimes work.
HI folks. So 2 nights ago I tried to update my Teamhacksung ICS enabled captivate using ClockworkMod bt somehow something went wrong. I was able to get into download mode at that point and then used Odin which seemed to work okay. Unfortnately now if I try the volume up and down method and plug in the usb cable, I get a looping battery signal. If I use the volume up, down, and power method I get a looping ATT logo. I can't get anywhere. Can someone help me with this? Really appreciate it. Computer does not see the phone in any of these states. Thanks.
PS: What's this Jig thing?
The jig will put your phone into dl mode w/o u having 2 do anything. From there just odin back 2 stock.
From what u r saying it seems like u r stuck in a bootloop. You should be able to press volume up/down and odin back 2 stock.

Do you have a different process other than what I've mentioned? If i hold down vol up+down then plug in the usb cable I get a looping battery logo. If I try to hold down vol up+down+power I get a looping att logo. PC never sees the phone. Do you have another way of doing this? Thanks.
EDIT: ALSO, THAT IS WHAT I DID TODAY AND GOT TO THIS STATE. BEFORE I DID ODIN3 TODAY, I COULD GET TO DOWNLOAD MODE. NOW I CAN'T AT ALL.

I was in the middle of flashing a kernal when my computer froze up on me. My phone now has 3 little icons (what looks to be a flipphone, a yellow triangle with an ! in the middle, and a computer). I had this happen to me with my captivate a while back and i remember it being a simple but different button combination than normal to get into download mode. Is anyone aware of how I can get there? Please help!

im aware of this method as this is how I usually do it, but that combination is working. Thats the problem
That Phone-!-PC screen is a form of download mode. Flash the kernel again in this mode. If the program hangs or doesn't recognize the phone, reset or restart the program (Odin or Heimdall), shut the phone off, and put it back in this mode. Then try again.

Is the phone completely unresponsive: no access to download mode, recovery or operating system?
Ok. I bought this Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 from a friend for cheap because I thought I could fix it, but I'm running out of options. It's in a boot loop, but an abnormal boot loop. If it's unplugged, It will do the splash screen (Samsung) boot loop. If it's plugged in, either into the wall or into my computer via usb, it will do a battery (charging) boot loop. It's kinda weird. I used to have an Epic 4G and it happened damn near all the time, without the battery loop, but it would charge normally.
I haven't successfully gotten it to boot into Download mode.
If any of you have come across this issue, please feel free to help me out.
I also attached a picture of me attempting to put it in download mode. It reboots if I hit either VOL up or VOL down.
Thanks

Can you get into recovery? Also, have you tried unplugging the charging cable and getting into download mode with the cable unplugged?
I'm not sure how to get into recovery. With it unplugged, all I have to do hold the VOL Down physical button and ti will take me to a "are you sure you want to put the device into download mode screen". I apologize. I'm not to familiar with this device.
Edit: After I get to the screen where it asks me if i want to go into download mode, it reboots within 5-10 seconds, no matter which button I press

Hold power and Volume up (volume button closest to the power button) until the tab shuts off and reboots itself and then you can let go of both buttons. If it works, try doing a factory reset. Was this tablet rooted (or have a custom rom installed) in the past?

As far as I know it's been on Stock. My GTab ignores me holding the Power and Volume up keys at the same time and keeps the boot loop going strong.

No, his device is fine.
If your device bricked, but still showing Gtab2 logo on it, it's still fine. You need to flash to stock 4.03 rom via ODIN. (Not clockworkmod)
Warranty won't work if you have flashed custom ROM before.

He needs to be able to get into Download Mode to use Odin. He stated that he can't. When he tried to continue into download mode by pressing volume up (vol. button closes to power button) the tablet reboots. It needs warranty service.
Experiments:
Power off the tab completely and charge completely and press power +volume up for 10 seconds then release, also try to power off and press power+ volume down for 10 seconds then release do you see any screens
If it says do you want to enter download mode or so press volume up and see if you could see (downloading) try also the same with volume down instead of up
Try to connect to computer do you see any messages indicating connections
Also try to connect to kies and try restore or recover firmware from options of kies
You said it reboots after 5 to 10 seconds so try to open odin and try to go to download mode and when you press volume up try as quickly as possible to connect tab to pc while odin is open

There's other method by using OpenRecovery (OR), by putting OR on external SdCard,
but it seems the OR for Gtab2 is not developed yet -__-
I can't get past the Samsung logo. I cannot boot into recovery or download. What can I do? I've searched and read an no go with any of those solutions.
does it actually boot to android or gets stuck at logo
does it stay at logo forever or reboots after about 10secs, if reboots then its a stuck power button
Stuck at logo, no reboots. It doesn't come on when battery is taken out and put back in, so not stuck button.
if it boots u should be able to get into download/odin mode, how r u trying to get it into dl mode as i think ur doing it wrong, keep trying or maybe buy a usb jig as ive read that it will get it into dl mode but i havent tested that out

How to enter Download Mode on Galaxy S2 Skyrocket:
First of all, know that you will not use the Power button at all.
Connect your USB cable to the computer, but not to the device.
Now, pull off the battery from your device, and then place it back.
Press simultaneously the Volume Up + Volume Down buttons. With the buttons still pressed, connect the device to the USB cable.
The phone should turn on now, and a screen with a yellow triangle and a warning should appear on the screen.
Let go of the Volume Keys and press Volume Up once to enter Download Mode.
Nothing works, up, down, both same time, nothing. This started when I used Flashify to flash newest twrp .img. I think it's hosed.
recovery flashing should not interfere w/dl mode unless you flashed it for a different device which would of hard bricked it which yours is just a soft brick.
i dont think i ever seen a soft bricked i727 not being able to recover.
go through the ts for odin in my stickies
does pc see anything connected when phone is plugged in and booting
i would hazard a guess at a bad cable, usb port on phone or pc.
try just the volume down button b4 connecting cable, thats a rogers phone technique but you never know it might work if u have not tried it.
if all else fails a cheap usb jig might help
I've had USB cables in the past that transfer power perfectly well, but don't work to transfer data at all. Before considering your phone borked, I'd try a different cable, maybe a different port on your computer as well. I've taken Skyrockets right to death's door before, but even after frying them to one stop short of Hard-bricksville, Odin was always able to read them.
