[Q] Atrix 2 Stock 2.3.5 kernel version and build number? - Motorola Atrix 2

hey guys ive been having trouble to get flash an fxz because rsdlite kept saying flash failed, but i think i finally got it right. now my question is what is the atrix 2 stock 2.3.5 kernel version and build number? my phone currently says (after fxz): Android Version 2.3.5, Kernel Version: 2.6.3598a0a06 [email protected]#1, Build Number: 5.5.1-175_EDFFW1-16

I just did a factory wipe/reset using RSD Lite to 2.3.5 using the AT&T Retail 2.3.5 ROM from here:
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/edison/list.php
(and I did add the little patch file because I had been running 2.3.6) and the build info and kernel version match what you posted so, I'd say that's the true "stock" factory condition, yep. I'm already updating to 2.3.6 as I'm typing this, actually.

[Q] US version of Milestone xt720 Rooting/Open Recovery

Has anyone been able to root/open recovery on the US based version of the xt720? I have one through Cincinnati Bell Wireless, but with no luck besides rooting the phone. Without open recovery I can't install for 2.2
s/w version: STR_U2_04.1E.1
firmware version: 2.1-update1
firmware configuration version: gas_na_nacbw_p011
baseband version: 3gsmepu91a_u_91.07.5ci
baseband configuration version: usashlstab14p2xapcncbw039.0r
kernal version: 2.6.29-omap1
Anything else that someone might need to help solve my problem?
There is no 2.2 yet for this phone. And no custom rom as well, not for the time being.
Sent from my Milestone XT720 using XDA App
just flash it back to stock ROM using RSDLite when 2.2 update is available.
Yeah I just really wanted 2.2 have it on my nexus one and love it...... Guess I will just put this phone back in the box.

[Q] Confused android version versus kernel version

Can someone explain android version versus kernel version? I see there is an updated AT&T stock rooted 2.3.6 flashable zip I can download from the forum. It isn't clear if it's the Kernel or the version of Android. What would be the difference with the 2.3.6 from my stock 2.3.5?
My Rogers i727R says it's Android version 2.3.5 and kernel version 2.6.35.11. From what I understand, the AT&T was also 2.3.5 and kernel version 2.6.35.11. So if I understand this update correctly, it updates the entire OK, therefore it is a ROM, not a kernel, correct?
If this is correct, why did not update the kernel to 2.3.6, or is there no such thing?
Yes its a rom. Android gingerbread version 2.3.6 that is the android version the kernel version of this rom is still 2.6.35.11 im not sure what differences there are on this rom it was an ota update we got a few days ago. And the kernel and android version are not the same. I dont believe the kernel version number , and android version are ever the same
The kernel number is the Linux kernel version that the Android build is based off of, and barring some highly unusual set of circumstances, won't happen to overlap.

GT-I9100G Help please ??!

Hello XDA
I'm a little new to the whole android scene and I ( stupidly ) bought a Galaxy S2 I9100G version not knowing it would have lower performance and much harder to upgrade to ICS so I have a few questions because I want to manually upgrade it to ICS 4.0.3 and Kies doesn't work at all so my question is:
What does the basebands differ from one to another and if I'm to install an official update to my "I9100GDZKH5" which firmware should I install to be suitable to it.
or should I choose it based on the kernel version whick is "2.6.15.7 [email protected] #2"
BTW I live in Egypt and the official ICS firmware still hasn't come out

Try Flashing a Custom ROM. In order to do this you will have to Root your phone and your phone will get warranty void. The decision lies upon you.

Thanks for your reply starbriganza but I'm trying to find a way to manually install official firmware and all I need to know is how to pick the appropriate firmware for my Galaxy S2

Samsung has officially released ICS 4.0.4 now. You can google it and install it via odin. Just put the downloaded .tar file in the PDA section and flash it.

[Q] Looking to downgrade factory stock 2.3.6 to 2.3.3

Hi all,
I've recently purchased an AT&T Samsung Infuse 4G but it came with factory stock Gingerbread 2.3.6 installed. I need to have stock Gingerbread 2.3.3 installed instead. (for device testing)
I've found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193927 that talks about downgrading to 2.3.3 but it's for a Rogers handset - if I followed this tutorial would I run into problems with my AT&T unit?
I would love to get some help on this one, there's a ton of resources available on this site but apart from the thread linked above, nothing quite specific enough for me.
Here's some more information on the phone:
Model number: SAMSUNG-SGH-I997
Firmware version: 2.3.6
Baseband version: I997UCLB3
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I997UCLB3-CL977492
Build number: GINGERBREAD.UCLB3
The very first gingerbread stock ROM released for the infuse was 2.3.6. A stock 2.3.3 does not exist.
Sent from my SGH-I997 using Tapatalk 2
2.3.6 UCLB3 is the only official stock GB for the Infuse.
2.3.3 is Canada Roger's Carrier. If you're on ATT, there is really no point in flashing it to 2.3.3 - unless of course, you are selling it to a Canadian. Even if you are selling it to a Canadian, just change the APN to Roger's.
2.3.6 has better video than 2.3.3

[Q]SCH-i800 system dump for stock kernel

I am trying to revert a Galaxy Tab (SCH-i800) to stock non-root. There are guides saying to flash the stock rooted ROM and then use SuperOneClick to take out root, but the stock rooted ROM has a different kernel version than what was there before I flashed the rooted ROM.
I believe this different kernel version is causing issues in 3G speeds and stability (as speeds were much faster and the connection never dropped)(This tablet is using the hotspot as an always-on connection) and I have not been able to find a system dump anywhere or how to revert this tablet completely to stock.
Here are the stock details:
Hardware version: i800.0.4
Model: SCH-i800
Firmware: 2.3.5
Baseband version: S:i800.0.4v.EI04
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7
Build Number: SCH-i800.EI04
