How To Revert to the Tablet UI in Jelly Beans?

Jelly Beans is great except for one thing... It turn my 7inch tablet into a phone! Thats not good! Anyone know how to revert back to the Tablet UI without changing the DPI? (Because DPI changing can cause more problems )

Without changing the DPI? After the DPI change, some apps crash!

My system UI started fc'ing after i changed mine. I wonder how it would work if you change the dpi,then download your apps.

If you edit the window manager to force tablet mode at the default dpi you still get these crashes. So this is going to take more work to get stable.

I have been running at 133dpi, some apps did crash initially, those that did I reinstalled and had no problems with afterwards

[Q] anyone successfully running flash with Dolphin (CM10.1)

Are any of you guys able to run flash with Dolphin browser on CM10.1 on a TAB 2 7.0? I've sideloaded the latest flash, went into /data/data and switched the shared prefs withing dolphin to plugin state=ON yet no matter what I do all I get is the stupid blue box with the question mark in it. My skyrocket is on the latest nightly of CM10.1 and I'm running flash with the exact same setup. So when is this whole HTML5 thing gonna kick over or are we gonna be SOL for years cause of this?

I run flash with Dolphin on CM 10.1 without problems. Go to data/data/mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser/shared_prefs and delete mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser_preferences.xml. Dolphin will recreate the file, but flash will be on in settings.

Are you sure you have the right flash plugin? Try this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846225. It worked for me. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I've got it going. It was that damn flash no icon mod app I downloaded. got the new one that ends in 48 and I'm looking good.
thanks for the help, sometimes it's the most obvious things that get overlooked...

I'm using Android1-7.
It's very stable and has around 40MB more RAM due to the kernel differences compared to albinoman

Trebuchet bugs a little, but, not a big problem for me.
Hotspot WIfi Worked
Camera Worked
Xposed Worked
Super-user Worked
the big problem for me is in the internal memory.
51 apps installed for 297Mo free against 86 apps installed for 611,25Mo free on CM10.1-20130806Albi887.
No games for me :silly::silly::silly:

android1234567 is becoming my favorite
I really like both roms, but I am now really warming up to android1-7. His last release was very stable. I am now testing his newest Aug 21 build and time will tell if that is equally as impressive. So far, everything seems to work fine. I'm still amazed to be running 4.3 on my Sensation. Congrats to both developers, but, for me, android1-7 is in the lead, for now...

Android1-7 with over 620 MB RAM and fully worked is a winner for me

I found android1-7 ROM better , the best thing is to try both and make your own call

It is obvious that the OP is wanting those folks with experience with the different roms to provide their input, Sometimes a rom can appear to be working great for you, and then find out the some bit of functionality does not work as expected. Yes, we all know we can try them out - providing this type of advice in this context adds nothing to the conversation, and only comes across as condescending.

Android 4.4 rom?

Hello,
I saw that Android 4.4 finally should run good on devices, specially devices with low memory like the HTC Sensation 4G.
I wonder if there is already an android 4.4 rom that works with the htc sensation.
I don't need HTC Sense or anything

It was annouced today, not released yet. I think that we wont get android 4.4 running since it requires linux 3.8 kernel. We have 3.0 kernel for sense and aosp + 3.4 kernel for sense

Where does it say that android 4.4 requires a 3.8 kernel?
since they are heavily pushing the fact that it runs on everything down to phones with 512mb ram i don't think they'd place that heavy a requirement on it.
My nexus 7 only has a 3.1 kernel and that'll definitely be getting the upgrade straight from google.

3.8 k was confirmed by google. You will definitley get kernel update on your nexus

I highly doubt it won't run on anything lower than 3.8, I know Google has been 'working with' a 3.8 kernel but it should be able to be ported to a lower version I think.
Only thing to worry about would be it relying on having ion implemented, then our camera won't work.

It may be working on lower kernel versions but not all of the features will workat all or work properly. Google yourself for confirmation, dont have access to pc rifght now

This is a new version of Android, of course someone will get it to run. Just because we don't have it now, doesn't mean we will ever have it. With the current Linux version that we use for AOSP dead, someone is bound to be working on getting 3.4 or 3.8 running on the Sensation.

3.8 k may be impossible because I bet qcom have not made any drivers for our chipset compactible with 3.8

Business is business, updating drivers for urs chipsets would be only a waste of money. They arent a charity organisation. I also would love to have fully working android 4.4 with ion 3.8 kernel but I also understand qualcomm

While 4.4 has been released on the Nexus 5, it will take some time before it's available on other devices, let alone lower end devices.
Rather than asking about a 4.4 ROM, just try being patient until it arrives

Hey guys, was just wondering if anyone knew about any custom roms available for the Pure XL or if there are any in the works. Kind of tired of the one that comes with the phone and even a stock rom would be nice.

So far we haven't got any custom ROM. @acheron1502 @root-expert and me are working on Cyanogenmod 12.1
